My hair was to the middle of my back, and short hair is not cute with the shape of my face. Vicki took the time (almost two hours) to really try her absolute best and save as much as she could. Not only was she successful, but I really feel like this is the best hair cut I've ever had in my life - even the ones where the stylist wasn't trying to rescue my hair from something I'd done. I am so thankful that instead of just giving up and taking the easy route (cutting it all off), Vickie really took her time and I appreciate it so much. Not only was she having to work a miracle with the burned portion, she also had to wade through the two years that I've been cutting my hair myself (and not well, mind you. I just get tired of it being in my face so I take scissors to it and hope for the best). I'm probably a stylist nightmare, but Vicki made me feel like it was a breeze for her and that she really cared about saving my hair and not giving me the Hilary boy cut. I've been going to the same hairdresser for years and after getting a "chop job" (my hair was down…read moreto my hips, I went in for a trim and found myself with chopped layers beginning at my ears) I had to wear my hair up for nearly four months because it looked so bad. I finally decided to treat myself, and found hair due through yelp. I called ahead and was told Sandra would be cutting my hair, as she was a "third level" hairdresser. Sandra was very polite and immediately made me feel at home. Not only did she make my hair look AMAZING (if you had seen my hair before you would understand just how great she did) but she also explained the process and where the other hairdresser went wrong. She didn't pressure me to buy any products, never yanked on my hair or pulled it and was just generally a nice lady. I am SO happy with my hair, she couldn't have done a better job. Not only that, but the entire staff had such good customer service and were super friendly. Lisa, the manager, even called me after my visit to see how I felt about everything. I'll be coming back here for years.

She told me verbatim "please don't speak to me that way" she must have a lot of issues with communicating or understanding a simple question to then lash out at me for just a simple question. I asked her point blank. Could you tell me the price of my last Hair Stylist and she said well everybody is different. Every level is different. I said that's not what I'm asking you. I asked you to please just tell me what the stylist price was that I last saw and she said "please don't speak to me in that manner" there is no way I spoke to her other than asking a simple question that she just couldn't answer. I said to her I wasn't asking for everybody or a broad spectrum of what everybody charges I was merely inquiring about one person who did my hair and she blew up and said please don't speak to me that way. I have patience for many things, especially trying to understand the next generation. What I don't appreciate is the lack there of with customer service in this generation, her generation and the attitude that they present. Maybe customer service at the hair salon is not your forte.

My wonderful stylist decided to leave the business, and I was hard pressed to find a beauty expert to maintain my color, occasionally do balayage or some kind of highlight or lowlight, and who treated hair with an excellent Keratin product. Thanks to the recommendation of a friend, I am a new "Anya evangelist!" Anya is very responsive via text regarding appointment availability. I sent her photos and she was able to provide me a very competitive quote for Keratin. My appointment was excellent! She gave me a consultation on lowlights, we covered the gray at my roots, applied the lowlights, and finished with a Keratin treatment. She also had a great recommendation for a deep conditioner, which I will use today! She also treated me to aesthetics services, dying my eyebrows, which are turning silver! I have already contacted her to ask for a styling appointment - I need a vintage hairstyle for an upcoming PinUp party. Ask Anya about her custom soaps and lotions. She owns a goat farm and makes amazing products! I almost hate to recommend her so highly because I want to keep her all to myself! But her salon is open, she is exceptional at what she does, and I'll happily drive from Woodstock up to Cumming for her expertise.

She then started putting in curls without any product, even though I said my hair needs product first because without it the curls will fall in an hour. I was looking for a loose kind of messy updo, if I'd let them keep going I would have wound up looking like some toddlers and tiaras debutant trash. Not what I asked for, not stylish and not good. Avoid!
