After having new carpeting installed, we needed two doors cut in the room. I called Tim the Handyman and his response was quick. He promised to call on Sunday evening with a quote for the work and as promised, called with both a reasonable price and a date to do the work. Tim arrived punctually and had the job done within 45 minutes. He was pleasant, responsible to detail, and just an all-around nice guy to work with for any home repair. He started out great. Does good work and is reasonably priced. Unfortunately, he's disappeared on me and left me hanging on work that he agreed to do before I listed my house for sale. He has not gotten back to me or responded to my efforts to communicate. read more

We needed some repairs done in our home. Tim the Handyman reviews were good so I used the online form to schedule an estimate. We had to wait for a bit for him to come to do the estimate. He came Monday, 6/1 to do the estimate. Told my husband that he wrote up the estimates on Sunday evenings and would email it to us on 6/8. We never received it. It took multiple emails and phone calls for him to respond to tell me that he had our email address incorrect and sometime the week of Jun 15 the estimate arrived. It was reasonable and we agreed to it. He indicated that he was booking out a bit and the earliest the work could be done was July 28. We agreed to the date. On July 27 he called my husband to indicate that he had to cancel the work as his daughter may have been exposed to Covid and needed a Covid test and if she was positive then he would need a covid test and that he was very sorry and would contact us as soon as he could give us an update about rescheduling the work. That was the last day we heard from him. It is now September 15. He has not responded to our emails or phone calls. I would like to think that he didn't use Covid as an excuse to get out of our job as it was only about day's worth of work but I have no way of knowing. The struggle I find most often with contractors is being able to rely on them, with Tim he has been at my house exactly when he said he would be and he has done an awesome job with communicating with me on how the progress of the work was going. While Tim was here he was extremely polite, he is one of the most respectful people myself or my family has ever met, he took the time to get to know us and was very friendly. The work he did at our family's house was the best we've ever had done, we finally found a contractor that we can call back and feel 100% confident that the work will get done the right way!
