The work was scheduled for a few weeks later. The original estimate seemed high, but we agreed to the terms. The employee did a good job for the first day. Then we were told to complete the last project would require a change with a small increase in price to use some 4 x 4 instead of some 2 x 4 lumber.The work was completed on the second day by the employee and was satisfactory. The problem is when we received an $800 increase in the final bill. When we questioned why the final bill was increased by such a large amount, the owner did not give a reasonable explanation that we felt was acceptable . We reluctantly paid the final bill under protest.

He did not honor our contract and is refusing to not only finish the contracted project, but to refund half our deposit that was to go towards it. He dragged this out over a year and left us in dismay. I would NOT recommend hiring him. Per our contract in 2021 he did 2 out of the 3 jobs he was hired for. We paid a deposit that was to be split between the 2 main jobs. He completed the first main job with poor workmanship, but did not return for the second main job. Despite numerous patient and polite attempts to reach him since then, he failed to respond. Finally he responded, calling us a difficult customer and that he refuses to do the work to fulfill the contract. Furthermore he threatened a restraining order if we continued to try to contact his business. After now reading other reviews, he has done this to others and will continue to do so. Please beware.

Like yeah, it would be nice if it was done well... I got no response at all, and there was never an attempt to come fix the obvious color/shape difference of the shingles ‍.
