I would leave them zero stars if I could. ****************** I'm not sure I could have hired a more horrible Tax Accountant. Absolutely the worst experience in all my 37 years. 1. My wife and I hired them in January. We were incredibly responsive. All questions asked by them were responded to within 2 days. It is now APRIL 16th. My taxes STILL are not filed. 2. Today is April 16th. I received an invoice. I immediately responded with 'I received your invoice. I'll pay this the same day the taxes are filed.' This was the reply: "We are set up to file once payment is received. We have burned". Frustrated, and with my near-complete tax filing being held hostage, I paid the same day. I'm STILL WAITING FOR MY TAXES TO BE FILED. 3. I emailed Gary Gross on a few occasions. Often, my questions were ignored IF my email was even responded to at all. 4. This is during COVID 19 days. Virtual chatrooms are a must. When Gary was unable to figure out how to password protect the meeting room, we had an unsecured conversation on zoom. 5. Due to COVID19, Fed / State taxes have been postponed to July 15th. I made it very clear that I wanted these filed before April 15th since I was well aware that while there are no fees for filing past April 15th, States charge interest on any amounts owed past April 15th. It's insane to me that we started this process in February, and due to ... I don't know what, we are trying to wrap this up until April 16th. When I indicated that I'm not ok with paying the interest due to him being late, his response was "Well, it's not going to be a lot of money." 6. Starting April 11th, I began sending daily emails to Gary Gross wanting daily updates as I couldn't imagine how this was still ongoing since I gave him everything he needed to complete taxes in mid-March. Daily, he responded with "It'll be done today." It wasn't. And he never sent any sort of communications clarifying why or even letting me know. 7. Because of all this, I have little confidence that my taxes were done correctly. This has been regrettable. This is a company and staff I will avoid in the future. * As a note, my entire experience has been with Gary Gross. But almost all paperwork produced is signed Chris Cherico. It's my theory that most of my information was relayed through Gary to Chris.

We were contacted by Jackie to switch over to State Farm for our auto and home insurance. We were in the market for new insurance so figured we would give it a go. At first everything was great and we had no issues. Then it seems like we just kept having issues. First, we received a notice from the DMV that there was a lapse in my daughter's auto insurance and we had to pay a penalty fee and show she didn't have a lapse. We contacted the office and they apologized and fixed the problem. Okay no big deal to us. I know mistakes happen. Then it seemed we kept having fees come up on our bill that we didn't know about. Our 18 year old daughter had a "hospital insurance" charge each month of about 20 dollars. We contacted via email several times and never received a response. Then my husband called to find out what it was and left a message. He never received a response. So we decided to switch insurance companies as this was not the service we wanted or was used to. My husband called to cancel and sent an email. He was able to speak to someone at the office which did not give any type of explanation just stated "I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations of our service". It was a very back handed comment that basically said we did nothing wrong, you just have high expectations. We received an email stating they had received our wish to cancel. About a week later, we still had a balance that was due for insurance and it showed insurance was still active. My husband then called the office again and Devondir answered the phone. He was very rude and stated, "sir, by NC law we have up to 30 days to cancel your auto policy and you have to pay the amount due". He asked when did you cancel and my husband said August then he said and what month is it and my husband said August and Devondir said okay thank you and hung up on my husband. I could not believe how we were being treated. So my husband reached out to State Farm corporate for further clarity on what was going on with our policy. The lady at corporate was very helpful and advised that our policy in fact had NOT been cancelled and we did NOT have to pay for the policy that we already cancelled. She went ahead and cancelled the policy and stated we would receive a refund for any unused funds. We did receive a refund check within a few days. We decided to go back to USAA insurance and received better service and better rates. We did receive an email from Jackie stating the policy was cancelled and another back handed statement of, "I'm sorry we couldn't meet your expectations". Not once did anyone at that office apologize or explain anything. They make people feel like they are the ones in the wrong and we have high expectations. I'm not sure why we were treated the way we were, but want people to be aware.

I called with a bright chipper hello after reading great things about the business online, but the person answering the phone (Kayla) adamantly told me they would not assist me without even providing a consultation. It was a weird experience. Here is a quote from their website, "We offer a free consultation where we listen to your tax issue with compassion in a judgment-free atmosphere. We understand life happens and that sometimes tax issues are part of the journey!" The person who answered my call would not listen to my tax issue. I told her that the website indicated they provide consultations, but she told me she did not know what I was talking about and that they would not be able to help me. Oh well, I will move on to someone else. They may not be lacking for business, but at least they could provide the basics to a potential client by listening to their issue and determining if they could assist. Wow, my experience with this business was unnecessarily unpleasant. Oh well. I just thought everyone else should know just in case they have a good, bad, or other experience with this business. They certainly made a bad first impression on me (I read the reviews prior to reaching out and felt they would be a good fit for me).

I had 2 other people on my policy that I needed removed. Brian however refused to take them off my policy said they had to be on their parents policies (which wasn't an available option) and offered me no assistance on how to fix my situation. Every hoop he gave me to get them off I jumped through and every time I did he came up with another excuse to not let them off (I'm guessing because it significantly dropped my premium and he didn't want to give up that $$) With that being said I called Progressive myself, the woman on the line there told me every thing he said was a lie and that unless you are under investigation on a claim you can add or remove people at any time. So the woman there took the other 2 people off and switched my agent!!
