She ran full force into the side of my knee. I immediately went numb from my knee to my ankle and my knee to my hip. After gentle movement to make sure nothing was broken, I could feel something wasn't right. I called Essex PT. I had never been seen as a patient there before so expected to be put on a wait list. They got me in very quickly. Emily assessed my knee, hips, mobility, strength, etc. She gave me some targeted stretches to do each day. Emily's expertise and accurate diagnosis shortened my recovery time and had me back in the groove. I highly recommend Essex Physical Therapy. They are top notch professionals who care about their patients.

I walked out without any pain. I have continued therapy as I am strengthening the muscles that let me down and caused the pinched nerve in the first place. I had also been diagnosed with PMR and the exercises are helping with my flexibility. I am certain that the whole body approach is the best solution for my health. As we age we lose site on how important strength and flexibility are to every day comfort and health. This will also make me stronger and my balance will improve. One of the key factors is that they take time for you and listen to your needs. I highly recommend Essex Physical Therapy.

First up is the atmosphere: this is not your run of the mill fit club largely due to its bright environs (the floor to ceiling windows make up much of the wall space here); It's stylish, has decor, live plants which make it all seem very inviting. It is uber clean inside, no off aromas like some 24 hour place I know that brags about not being judgmental, but I wish they judged the cleanliness and aromas in their gyms. Anyway, there is a swimming pool (kept at a really comforting temperature) that also serves for aquatic exercise class, and some physical therapy sessions. The land type offerings include state-of-the-art, brand new and well maintained (think cleanliness here) equipment (there seems to be something for everyone with respect to equipment). Finally the people who work here are stellar in my estimation. They are kind, relaxed, professional, and the list could go on and on. It's just really un empty place. I'm so glad that I found it. The only downside if there could be one would be the hours that they are opened because it's basically 7 AM to 6 PM which can be somewhat limited for from some people's perspective. No biggie for me. I just love the place and highly recommend it!
