I've had Timberline work two jobs, and they've done well. Jesus is super patient and communicates what he is doing. Last time when he gave an estimate for putting in some new sprinkler heads, he also fixed and adjusted a row of mini sprinkler heads for the garden bed and did not charge for that. This time, Jesus placed new sprinkler heads for another part of the lawn, and changed out different spray head types a couple of times to my liking. He has the patience of Jesus. The estimates are reasonable, and Linda, who coordinates the jobs and takes the payments, is very responsive and quick to reply to questions. Needed basic lawn service, mowing bi-weekly. Switched to Timberline from another service at double the cost. Took a while for them to put on on their service routes. Once they did, their service was spotty, never knew when they would show up, so I had to keep asking. A couple months in, and they stopped showing up altogether. After 3 weeks of nothing, I emailed and was given another apology for them forgetting I existed. Another 2+ weeks go by, same exact thing. So I cancel my service with them, but I had one more day paid for. They came out and mowed their last day. And then they charged me for another month's service today. And good luck trying to get them on the phone. They never answer. If you leave a message, best you'll get is a text. Feels like they're scared to talk to their customers, and I see why. read more

Timberline cuts our lawn. But we asked them if they could fix the erosion problem on our driveway. Not only they backfill our foundation, they added gutter n pop up drain to prevent future erosion. Also they lifted our driveway 2" n backfilled it saving us over $1000 if we went with foundation repair company. read more

I would not recommend their services. They will charge you for service and not show up. They are unable to keep a set schedule for when they will be out so if you have a dog that needs to be put up like I do that isn't helpful. Most recently they only mowed my front yard and not the backyard saying no access but I work from home and they didn't knock or ring the doorbell. They were supposed to be out today and no shocker they didn't show up. read more

I've been using these guys for a while to do lawn care /mowing and they always do a great job at a very reasonable price. Today, I had them move good grass from the back where a pool was going to the front where I had killed some grass using the wrong fertilizer. We were not happy with our old landscape provider, so we switched to Timberline, and we have been happy ever since. They do our lawn weekly and they do a great job. Some of our sprinkler heads were broken and we asked if they could fix them - they came out immediately and looked at each one to make sure each of them worked properly, so we greatly appreciated that. Do not contact this company. My current lawn guy sold to Richard Lavery at Timberline, but they never showed up. Day after day of promising to mow then they are a no show each day. After the third day I calmly advised of the situation and Caroline hang up on me without saying anything and blocked my phone number. Their office staff always replies in a timely manner. I learned this from repeatedly having to contact customer support as every service provided was terrible (only 3 services total before we ended service with them). 1st service they forget the bush trimming, blew all the grass onto my neighbors yard and left LARGE strips of grass uncut. 2nd service, they finally did the bush trimming, didn't clean up the mess from trimming the bushes, didn't blow off the patio, forget to mow and trim around our large tree and again left large strips of uncut grass everywhere and the last service, they did not over lap lawn paths when cutting, again leaving LARGE strips of uncut grass everywhere and did not blow off our patio. I had to request a partial refund on the 2nd service due to the many unfinished part of the service and I never received the refund. They suggested I contact my bank, I did, when I let Timberline know the bank has no record of a refund on their side, they offered no solution. We quit using them and are using a better landscaper for less weekly cost. read more

Upon purchasing a home around October 2014 in the North Dallas area, I called Richard Lavery, owner of Timberline Lawn and Landscape, and inquired about lawn services. He was fairly responsive and gave me an estimate to clean the yard of leaves and to put me on his regular list for lawn services. I believe I paid him $175 for the leaves (there were quite a lot) and $34.99 twice a month. He informed me that in November through February, his crew would only come once a month and then beginning in March, the service would resume back to twice a month. In late March, I realized his crew had not come since January. My wife, a homemaker, remains at the house, and she confirmed his lawn crew had not come to our house since January. I contacted him several times via text notifying him that I had not seen his crew in several months. He responded he would look into it. He again responded a day later stating that he had deleted me off his list and he apologized. My wife looked at our credit card bill for charges from Timberline and realized that he had charged us once in the month of February and twice in March. However, as stated earlier, I never received any services for those months. I contacted him the next day and asked him how he accidentally deleted my name off his list. I also politely asked to be refunded, for I never received those services. He responded that he had recently deleted me off his list and it did not affect the February and March services--he stated his crew did in fact come out. I also asked him about a black bag of leaves on the side of my house that had been left from January. I asked if his guys could haul it off when they come back to the house. He responded that he "didn't like being raked over the coals" for these things and he did not want to work for me. He stated he would refund me for the services I never received even though he "knew I had actually received it." Naturally, I was offended at the lack of customer service and the fact that he was basically calling me a liar. I asked him to come look at my yard personally to prove his guys had not come there at all (despite me being charged twice in March). He hung up on me. To date, I have never been refunded for those services. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau and reported this merchant for fraud to my credit card company. I urge anyone reading this to beware of Richard Lavery and Timberline Lawn and Landscape. There are too many yard service companies in the North Dallas area that would love to have your business. read more

Recently they also did some landscape work in a shady area of my backyard and I am still impressed. What a horribly unprofessional company. I signed up for lawn care service through Timberlines website and received a call from Richard a day after signing up. I spoke with him about what I was looking for and informed him my yard was particularly overgrown due to a cancellation with another local company. He informed me this would be no problem and they would be out the following day to service my lawn. The following day they were a no show and I received no calls or explanations. I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt since rain has been heavy in the area and they could just have been behind (would be nice to get a call but ohh well it happens). Well they were no show the following day as well so I put a call into their offices (no answer). The following day I received a call saying they would be out that day as they were, as I suspected, behind. Again another no show. I called the following day and was assured again they would be out that day. Close to the after noon still no show I put another call into Timberline and was told that they drove by my property and because the yard was over grown they couldn't spend the time to cut it and would be back out to do it on "their schedule" in two weeks at the earliest. What the hell kind of service is this. I mean no calls, canceled appointments, and blowing me off because they don't "have the time." Do yourself a favor and find another lawn company to work with this one simply doesn't know how to handle business. read more
