Based on yelp reviews, I went here to get my watch battery replaced for a modest fee. In both times, they were cordial and helpful.

Mike is amazing!! He is incredibly good at what he does, very friendly and fast, and charges very reasonable prices. I had several watches that needed new batteries, and I needed to have my wedding ring and engagement band re-sized after some weight loss. He did it while I waited, so that I could be comfortable with him taking my rings. He showed me a couple of loose stones, which he fixed. He re-sized my rings, cleaned them and rhodium plated them and they seriously look like they are brand new. I am so happy with Mike and his service!! I will be recommending him to everyone who needs a jeweler - what a find!! read more

I brought a large ruby ring in a few days ago, needing it to be sized down alot from its current size 9. Everyone was super helpful, made sure I had the right new size, and they were even able to size it all the way down to a 5 3/4 without adding any additional metal inside the band. Wow!!! Mike is amazing. We just happened to be driving by when we yelped for a jewelry store to resize my fiancé engagement ring. We thought we would just get a bracket put in for like $40 and be on our way. First mike put the bracket in and said it was only $6......wow. Amazing. Then when we asked about resizing he said he could do it right on the spot. We got to watch the entire thing right in front of our eyes. It was only like $50 to do the resizing. He did it right in front of me so I wouldn't have to come back. He even stayed late when I couldn't make it there by his usual closing time. The people working here are amazing. My mother in law recommended them, I needed a pair of Mykita glasses fixed so I took them there on Wednesday. They carefully looked at the broken pair of sun glasses and determined that the problem was a missing spring. They told me they are German design made in Italy and that the part must come from the manufacturer. If I was able to find the part they would fix it for free! WOW! I have never heard that in a repair place. So honest, so much integrity! Fortunately Mykita recently opened a store in DTLA and they have agreed to replace the part and fix them. I will definitely bring my Michele watch to Time 2 Fix for its tune up! These guys are so professional and serious. read more

I have a clock I bought so cheap at the now defunct Alley in Palm Springs. But it was perfect at my front door. And it kept good time. But then it died. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out where the battery went and couldn't open what seemed like the logical slot. I tried everything but wanted to treat the clock with some kind of respect from my ham-fisted self. So I looked at Yelp ratings and dropped in to Time 2 Fixwithout an appointment, knowing that if it cost more to repair than to buy, I was out. (NOTE: This is across the street, DIAGANOLLY from the famous Googie design Casa de Cadllac at Beverly Glen and Ventura. It's in the awful mini-mall with the Verizon store on the corner and if you overshoot, confess your sins because it's hell to get back). At any rate, they fixed the clock (the battery compartment had corroded shut which they cleaned and replaced with a new battery) while I waited and charged a pittance, but they bought my good faith and I would only go there now for watch and clock repair (but still confessing my sins -- parking in that awful mini-mall is also a slippery slope to the fiery pits of hell). They are upstairs and without knowing you will be driving a lot. As I did. But forget it. It's worth it. Know where it is, where you're going, how you intend to get there and go. You'll be glad. read more

This place is great. Mike is fantastic! I have a watch where the stem broke off and I took it to a jeweler in the mall. This watch repair person (and I use this term loosely) told me it would cost around $85.00 to fix the movement. Mind you, the watch only cost me $89.00. He said don't fix it, just wear it broken as a bracelet for the "look." I went on Yelp, found Time 2 Fix, talked to Mike and guess what? He fixed the watch with no problem for $15.00. Yes, $15.00. I'm going to bring all my jewelry over to Mike. He is the best! read more

I took my fiancee to get her engagement ring re-sized from a 4 to 5.25. Mike let us watch while he selected the gold, soldered it in, and cleaned / polished it. The result was immaculate and he had the foresight to leave the insert a tiny bit thicker so that the ring could be enlarged later (b/c of babies, summers etc) without further surgery. Mike is simply AMAZING! Such a fair and honest man who is also incredible at what he does. He is always forthcoming and understands that you are leaving your valuables with him so he tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible. He insists that you stay and watch him work on your piece for YOUR peace of mind. I don't know very many jewelry repairmen that would do that! He re-sized my engagement ring and you can't tell at all that it was ever altered. He does that clean of a job! My daughter and I brought in 2 rings that were family heirlooms that we needed resized. They were so careful in taking the measurements of our fingers to be sure they would be a good fit. A watch I wanted to give as a present (a Seiko) was a bit too big for the wearer. I did some looking around online, found this site and read the reviews. "Surely it can't be THAT good," I thought. I was quite wrong. When I got there, the owner/manager (?) was so nice and helpful. It was only $10 to have the links removed. I also brought in a watch I've had for many years to have the batter replaced. A whopping $14. Since the watch (Guess) had some wear on it, he cleaned it for no charge... it looks like new!! What's great about this place is in addition to great customer service and pricing, you can come back at any time to have the watches re-adjusted or cleaned for no cost. Seriously... this place better stay in business because I don't care to go anywhere else from now on. Thanks! read more

I just moved to the area and I was so exited to bring my jewelry here because it is very close to my new place and I always have work for a jeweler. This time I brought 3 watches to have the battery replaced, one gold bracelet to shortened, and a white gold ring to polish and remove some small scratches. Everything was fine at the time I was at the store. When the owner was going start polishing the ring, he keep asking me if the ring was white gold and I said YES a couple of times. When I left I noticed that the white gold ring was not shiny anymore compared to the rest of my jewelry. I came back the same day and asked the owner what happened. He said that because he polished he removed the top layer and underneath the ring is more yellow color and more opaque . He said that I can bring it back when he purchase some rhodium and he can dip the ring in it. Doing that it will give the shine and silver look to the ring but it will cost me $40 dlls extra on top of what I paid. I paid about $65 dlls for everything. I was furious. Not only he never told me that polishing a white gold ring it would loose the shine, also he wanted to charge me to get it back to normal. If he had mentioned that ahead of time I would never request that service. Btw I went through hell with the company that made the ring. I ended loosing about 3-4 months in trying to fix it. read more

I've been looking for a place to replace the batteries in my watches for several weeks. I stumbled upon this place because I workout a few stores away. Anyway, I went in and requested the batteries be replaced and I thought I was going to be paying a lot because of the location. Mike said he would service the watches in addition to replacing the batteries .... for $10 EACH! Now my watches have new batteries and they're sparkling. I'm planning to go back to have my jewelry cleaned, in addition to any other repairs I need in the future. This was definitley a great find!! read more

I would give Mike 10 stars if I could! I needed to get some engraving polished out of a gold charm and then have it re-engraved. The charm was originally made in the Jewelry District downtown and they did a crappy job - the circle shape was uneven and the clasp was too big for the pendant. Mike added gold and polished out the original engraving, re-engraved using a laser, evened out the edges of the circle, and also added a new clasp...and his price was incredibly reasonable. I was told up to 10 days and he finished in 4. Not only that, but after I paid and left the store, he came running out after my 2 year old daughter with a silver charm bracelet for her...AS A GIFT! I was speechless! How kind. I give Mike highest recommendation for jewelry repair. read more

Time 2 Fix repaired a very expensive pair of sunglasses for me and did an amazing job. The earpiece had previously broken and was repaired by another jeweler. That repair was done very poorly and did not last long. Mike and Gary put the same care into repairing my glasses that they would do in repairing a very expensive piece of jewelry. They treat every job as if it is the most important. They also re-sized a ring for me and it was perfect. I now have a favorite place to take any type of jewelry issue. Got ripped off, about a year ago I had a crystal replaced in my watch for about $100 bucks and after a very short time, (a couple of months) it was scratched so badly that you could hardly tell the time. And it wasn't even scratched half as bad before I took it in to have it replaced and this is after several years of wear and tear. I brought it in and showed the son of the owner and he basically just kind of shrugged his shoulders, like oh well...I just took it to another watch repair and he said that the glass is very cheap and he is replacing it with a higher grade mineral glass for $50 bucks. read more

This is my first Yelp review ever. I had a good experience here so I figured it was time to join the party. Mike did a great job on a watch I brought in for a battery change. I noticed that it was really dirty and he offered to have it tidied up and it came back with all the scratches gone and sparkly clean. (Of course this did cost extra.) I also told him that I work late and so would have to pick up the watch on a Saturday and he even called me when my watch was ready around 5 pm and asked me if I wanted to try and come in that evening and he'd stay late for me until 7 pm. Mike did a great job with my two watches. The one was a simple battery repair, done in a few minutes and at a fair price. The second one I thought was a simple replacement of the band. However, Mike showed me where the person at the kiosk where I had bought the band needing replacement bent the lug ends of my watch to accommodate a 16 mm band, instead of the 18 mm band that it is supposed to use. He repaired the damage and replaced my band with a better one in half the time he said it would take and, again, for a very good price. I agree with the other Yelpers who mentioned how personable he was in the process. read more
