Ever since experiencing such compassionate service in preserving my mother's lapis lazuli necklace, I've since returned to repair another heirloom, a pink pearl necklace that needed a new clasp and restringing as well as tightening up the stone on my 1920s vintage art deco engagement ring. I also had a broken gold anklet chain soldered as well as a broken-off piece from a gold-plated hoop earring. The final item was a rare high-grade sugilite silver ring I had purchased back in August that needed gentle polishing. Everything was perfectly done. I had come in the week of Thanksgiving and all of it was done by the second week of December. What a fantastic experience I had with Padani! I brought in 2 heavy silver rings that were a bit small to see if they could be adjusted. I had other jewelers tell me they wouldnt even try because sizing up would most likely damage the ring. The first one they resized turned out unbelievable! You can't even tell where the extra material was added and I'm so happy with the turnout. The second ring was quite a challenge. It was a heavy dragon ring with scales that wrapped around the band. I couldn't believe he not only resized the ring from a 10 to a 13 but actually matched the scaling pattern as well. Not only are they super talented but also super kind. This is a wonderful family owned business in Studio city! The son, Justin, helped me out today; as did his father, Simon. I had a ring on my left middle finger that I have been wearing for at least the last 10 years, and it no longer fit right, it was too small and had started to squeeze my finger. I came in to get it removed. They attempted to use ice and windex to remove it, but to no avail. They ended up having to cut it off (I was okay with losing the ring so it wasn't a big deal for me). It ended up taking about 20 minutes to cut off and required a LOT of effort on their end. It was a stainless steel ring, who knew it was that resistant to being cut?!
