I went on a referral from a friend and have been overwhelmed by the care they've taken with my jewelry, the fun they've had with the designs, and the professionalism they've shown. They're extremely communicative and if you ever have a question or see that something isn't quite right, they will make it right straight away. They have a great text messaging system that keeps track of your drop-offs and pick ups, and you can send them images of what you're thinking, they'll give you feedback etc. And being there is a lovely experience. Ever since experiencing such compassionate service in preserving my mother's lapis lazuli necklace, I've since returned to repair another heirloom, a pink pearl necklace that needed a new clasp and restringing as well as tightening up the stone on my 1920s vintage art deco engagement ring. I also had a broken gold anklet chain soldered as well as a broken-off piece from a gold-plated hoop earring. The final item was a rare high-grade sugilite silver ring I had purchased back in August that needed gentle polishing. Everything was perfectly done. I had come in the week of Thanksgiving and all of it was done by the second week of December. Make sure to say hi to Dalia while you're there. Here's the pricing: $150 for restringing pearls and replacing the clasp and tongue; $40 for soldering the earring part; $35 for soldering the gold chain on the anklet; $50 for tightening the diamond on the engagement ring (they added more platinum to help secure the setting); and $70 for gently polishing the sugilite ring without scratching it! In the past I have found walking into a fine jewelry store for the first time to be intimidating so I asked for a recommendation for a local jeweler that is trustworthy, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Dalia, Simone, and Justin are so friendly and welcoming - the opposite of intimidating. I was thinking about replacing the diamond in my engagement ring and Dalia showed my husband and me a lot of options. The finished ring is absolutely beautiful. A year later Simone designed a set of stacking rings with five topaz stones small diamonds. He shopped for the stones which ended up being difficult to match, and again, the rings are beautiful. What a fantastic experience I had with Padani! I brought in 2 heavy silver rings that were a bit small to see if they could be adjusted. I had other jewelers tell me they wouldnt even try because sizing up would most likely damage the ring. The first one they resized turned out unbelievable! You can't even tell where the extra material was added and I'm so happy with the turnout. The second ring was quite a challenge. It was a heavy dragon ring with scales that wrapped around the band. I couldn't believe he not only resized the ring from a 10 to a 13 but actually matched the scaling pattern as well. Not only are they super talented but also super kind. We had a custom engagement ring design in mind and they not only did what we asked, but creatively suggested an additional feature we wanted but didn't know how it would work. We had a lot of questions and they were happy to answer, never felt dismissive. They absolutely delivered, and very quickly with beautiful work and at a very fair price. My fiancé surprised me with the finished product a month ago and I'm in love with it and get so many compliments. I want to add that we wear masks in public for our health and they treated us very respectfully and made us feel like any other valued customer, which is unfortunately not always our experience, so that was also greatly appreciated.
