Finally asked if they could call another location to see if they were not busy and had notarys available. It took quite a long time for her to get a response and she came back with "maybe" they can notarize you. Went to wintrust and left within 15 minutes. This location made me want to close my account as you can see from the poor customer service this location continues to provide I've the years. I would love to close my account but so many of my contacts use chase. I'm not sure why this location puts mediocre employees in such a busy location?

I stopped banking here over $150 worth of charges that I had to fight tooth and nail to have credited back to my account AFTER I issued a stop payment. As soon as I said I was moving banks "do what you have to" was the response I was given. I also had an account frozen by a representative for no reason other than I stated I was leaving in an email. My wife still keeps our personal banking through them and just received an email that we will be charged $5 a month for paper statements because of inactivity with our online statements. My wife logs in twice a week to pay bills. I guess the "online login" was in my name not my wife's so this was the glitch and wasn't explained I. The email. Just got in the email, "Call me if you want to avoid these fees". No explanation of anything other than we're gonna get penalized for a horrible system and process on their part. Horrible. No concept of customer service or knowing how to settle a customer's anxieties. Do yourself a favor and don't use this bank. All the people who work the counter are great, however. Once again USBank is messing with my account. My debit card was hacked so they closed ALL of my…read moreaccounts and reopened new accounts, debit cards, etc. Now, the account was never set up with the correct notification setting so that I would get a call or text about any declines. Therefore I have payments that were missed last month. Now, for some reason they've locked me out of online banking and I have to go to the branch office to get this cleared up! So now the bill I was trying to pay is going to have more late charges which I have to pay. Also, without the online banking I can't change the notification settings needed to ensure that I get a text message or call. This is the second time I've had to write a bad review about USBank. The sad part is that their representatives are very nice and they try to be helpful but no one seems to have the authority to fix anything. So I will go to my branch, even though we got over 7 inches of snow, and raise hell to get this fixed. If this happens again, I will pull all of my money out of USBank and go to another bank.

This is no longer a TCF bank, it's now Huntington Bank. I went there today with my loose coins in a…read morejar, to have them counted in the coin counting machine. It's no longer there, Huntington discontinued this service. The coin counter was the reason I originally opened a TCF account several years back. The Huntington bank teller told me that she could give me paper rolls so I can roll up the coins. Seriously? It would take me a week to separate and roll up $93 worth of Pennie's, nickels, dimes and quarters. Forget that! I went to Liberty Bank and dropped them into their coin counting machine and in less than 5 minutes, it was done. I'm considering closing out my Huntington account since their customer service is zero.

When we opened a couple accounts, things were good. I liked that we could walk into the bank and be greeted and there wasn't some huge line or anything. The folks were very friendly and I felt quite welcomed. But after we left things went downhill. I don't know if it's because the woman who opened the account, the assistant manager, was leaving early that day (she mentioned this) and she was doing things too quickly or not. But from what we've experienced it just feels like service is inconsistent and stuff. First, a few days after we got the account opened and were preparing to use the temporary checks they gave us we found that my name was spelled incorrectly. Not sure why, when it was correct on the other account; I guess she just spelled it incorrectly the second time. The temporary checks were to be a stopgap until we received the ones that the bank ordered for us. But after several weeks passed without receiving them, I called the bank number, and was routed to a call center, where I was told that they didn't have any record of a check order having been made. This was nearly two months after the account had been opened, and we had to wait another two weeks or so for them to arrive (the person on the phone didn't offer any sort of expedited order or anything, which would have been good customer service here). It was just another thing to make me disappointed we'd selected this bank, and here I thought I had done at least a little investigation to try and find a good local bank to use. Most recently, I visited the bank about a week or so ago. I needed to transfer some money from the household account to my account at another bank for some home repairs. It may be standard that you can't transfer from one bank to another except by wire transfer, though I have to admit I was surprised given everything that can be done digitally nowadays and knowing the banks are all part of the same electronic infrastructure. But was MUCH more annoying is that I had several checks to deposit, a few of which were made out to two people (I was one). The other party endorsed the check and I did as well when I got to the bank, but the teller told me that "technically", he wasn't supposed to accept it because he needed to see the other party endorse it. Since when??? I admit that I haven't written a check in literal decades and rarely get them myself, but I know I've deposited a two-party check before. I might understand if I was asking to cash the check, but I was depositing it into an account that had both the names to which the check was made written on it. I was just floored by this. It's nearing the last straw; there are two things keeping me from going to another bank altogether: the first that once you open an account, you can't access the money for a month (I honestly don't understand how this is possible--maybe it's for deposits of a certain amount? How can you not have access to your money for a month?) and the second that how can I now trust whether a bank is actually competent when I though I'd looked into that to select this one?
