TLE has treated my children, wife, and myself like extended family since day 1, starting about 4…read moreyears ago when our first child started there, and we could not be happier. Now our second child is thriving there as well, after his older brother has moved on to elementary school. From very early on, both kids were happy, sociable, and came home with all sorts of knowledge and skills they'd learned there--the actual learning is really impressive. This was our 3rd daycare in the area, after the first one shut down and the second one wasn't a good fit for this particular kid. We were frankly kind of desperate, and totally turned off by the corporate cartoon theme which, on the surface, was not at all the vibe we'd been looking for. But wow, did we learn our lesson. Daycare centers are run by real people, after all, and these people are wonderful. The building is safe, clean, bright, and full of resources while absolutely spacious and uncluttered. It's comforting, stimulating, and the walls are covered in a constantly changing array of children's projects at all levels. This is not a place where you park your kid and they babysit them--it's a genuine school, with the parent-facing part of it as easy as if it were "just a daycare." I would recommend this place to everyone I know--if they didn't already send their kids there! So many families that we know from TLE are also involved in other parts of our family's life now, and many that we met elsewhere have discovered TLE Montgomery on their own. In a way, it's a major nerve center of our sense of community in Montgomery at this early stage in our children's lives.

Teachers are disciplined, process oriented and they know tiniest detail of child's day to day activities, their dislikes, their interest, almost everything to make parent feel confident and secure about their child. Things that defines my experience with TLE are confidence, security, warmth, love and affection.

Michelle was my sons teacher and was phenomenal. While my son was in her care I had no worries. If Michelle was able to work the entire time my son was at the Academy I'm pretty sure I would not have a negative experience. I have no reservations about my son being in her care. On the other hand when my son was not in her care it was a disaster. My first incident was Haley who no longer works there she was an aid she threw food at my son from across the table. Not once but twice, the second time the food was thrown it bounced off his plate and hit the floor. There was nothing at all noted in her file of the incident. Another issue I had was with the directors daughter who clearly didn't know how to change a diaper, my son had fecal matter all over his private parts and severe diaper rash because she did not know she was supposed to wipe the front of him as well. My son was in so much pain he couldn't even sit down without screaming in agony. The diaper rash incident happened two times by the way. My next incident was my son has a Medical disorder and they were hiring new people constantly and I asked the staff members who were in the room if they were aware of my sons medical condition and neither of them had any idea or knew anything about it. So I brought this to Liz's attention the director and all she did was say oh I'm sorry that's my fault they should've been informed. My response was how many times is my son going to suffer due to the lack of training your staff members have. She didn't have a answer. At that time I knew I had to remove my son because it was a safety issue at that point. So all in all if you attend KA please make sure you watch the cameras extremely closely and don't be afraid to question anything.

I consider that willingness to help to be a huge reason why I referred others to go there. Those that I referred, had nothing but a positive experience as well. This past year, there has been a huge drop off. Staff who cared for and loved my kids have left, prices changed and we started having to consider other option but I would have stayed if it had not been for the change in leadership. Melinda Rushing was not willing to work with us in regards to her issues regarding my wife's concerns about program quality and went so far as to claim my wife was "poaching" her staff because she was willing to help staff with resume. Simply put, my wife is not in a position to hire people. Further, I could have worked with Melinda but she chose to kick my kids out of her school. What kind of school takes out their parent concerns on kids? Robs them of the opportunity to grow socially and emotionally because the director has a parent concern? It saddens me that I can no longer recommend All Day, a once great day care.
