We tried to take care of our newborn while working from home, but it was virtually impossible to juggle both and give Jordan her due attention and care, so we decided to enroll her in Little Red Birds after being recommended from a family friend. Needless to say, it was the best decision ever. The very first week was honestly very challenging as a parent dropping off my baby at daycare. She cried and clutched on to my legs those first few mornings when I dropped her off. To be fair, that was expected as our daughter was put in a new environment with people she never met. But much to my surprise, she quickly adjusted to daycare after just 1 week and now love going there. I have heard from friends how it took their kids 3-4 weeks to get adjusted to daycare so the fact that it only took Jordan 1 week says a lot. We appreciate the strict health and sanitation practices that Niara does including wearing a mask, taking our temperatures every morning, and putting on a new pair of disposable gloves every time to change our baby's diaper. This gives us peace of mind that the children's health is very much a priority. We love the very personalized attention that Niara gives our daughter that we would not get at larger daycares. Due to this, Niara has helped Jordan (and our lives) in so many facets: Physical development: Jordan has learned to hold her own bottle and sippy cup. She has improved her hand dexterity to grasp and eat solid snacks, use her thumbs to turn the pages of books, as well as improved balance and walking with a walker unassisted. Jordan also loves to clap and bob up and down excitedly to kids songs like "Baby Shark". Arts and crafts has also helped our baby girl with sensory and motor skills (see the beautiful Father's Day art project!). Feeding: While we struggled for months getting Jordan to drink her milk/formula at home, Niara was able to get our baby to drink her bottle at daycare and it has transitioned very well back home as well. She's now drinking her bottle better than ever as we used to have daily frustrating fights with her bottle intake. Jordan is also taking in her protein and fruit solids really well now too and her much needed weight gain and plumper self makes us really happy. Sleeping: Jordan has learned to sleep on her own now. It did take a short period for that to transition at home, but she is doing great with it now and it has freed up more time for us to get other home errands done and afforded us more rest time as well. Comprehension: The daily circle time with learning letters, colors, facial parts and reading books sure has improved Jordan's understanding of many basic words. She can also repeat papa regularly and sometimes mama occasionally. When I ask her to hand me a toy in her hand, she understands and will hand it to me right away. It's also exciting that Niara also teaches sign language to further assist with the communication between student and teacher. Activities: Niara has also taken the kids on occasional fields trips which includes the local spray park, the zoo and the aquarium! We love that our baby Jordan can go out, explore and experience things in real life and not just see things in books. This is such a huge huge plus and we greatly appreciate and willingly provide the extra funds for her to enjoy these exploration trips! All in all, my wife and I greatly appreciate everything Niara provides and has done for our baby girl. She has improved Jordan's life in so many areas and in turn improved our family's overall well-being and happiness. We cannot recommend Niara and Little Red Birds enough as a great daycare.

I was wrong! Ms. Niara is so loving and nurturing and made me feel so comfortable leaving my child in her care. Not only that, my son has grown so much and is an active and kind toddler. He can identify animals, shapes, colors. He knows his alphabets and numbers. He completes age-appropriate puzzles and plays well with others. At just over a year old, I was extremely hesitant to uproot my child and start fresh somewhere new... but something in my gut told me that AWNWA was the right move for our family and looking back, I couldn't have made a better decision. It's been almost a year since we joined, and I wanted to take moment to share our experience with anyone who may be on the market for a daycare. The staff and teachers at AWNWA make it a truly loving and warm environment, which is why I know that it feels like home for my daughter when she is there. Some things I love about AWNWA are: 1) they post TONS of pics throughout the day to the parent app 2) they do so many fun/educational crafts and activities throughout the day - things I never would think to do at home. 3) They have a small/private outdoor area and use that regularly during the warm months (plus waterplay once a week in summer) 4) they have social events for all families every few months which are a blast and have really helped families to form relationships with one another 5) They value parent input and even have a parent committee to assist with events, policies, etc. 6) It's family owned. The director, Mr. B (and his wife Karan) opened AWNWA when their son was a child over 20 years ago. The center is truly their world and it shows. My daughter has learned SO much since joining AWNWA it blows me away. I feel like every day she is saying or doing something that I didn't know she could do. I personally know of at least 3-4 families who switched from other daycares to awnwa which I feel speaks volumes about awnwa. I can't recommend AWNWA enough.

They treat her like their own child. Finding a daycare is one of the hardest and most important decisions we had to make. It was the best decision. I used to be nervous how she would handle transitions especially when she moved up in new classrooms because she is so attached but she continues to build and maintain the relationships she has with the staff Ms. Eva, Ms. Hajera & Ms. Amia. She is so happy there and misses her teachers and friends when she is away. She has been bringing home the cutest crafts starting with her tiny footprints and handprints that progressed into cute art projects. She has learned so much with her letters and numbers. Our kids were treated with love and care and learned so much during their time at HCA. Bonus points for the three meals prepared each day plus snacks; few school closures that matched our work schedule for the most part; 7pm close time to accommodate working parents; video camera accessible all day; and a user friendly and informative app with pictures of our kids. HCA was a big part of our family and we are eternally grateful for them. There's no better place in Hoboken.

Upon enrolling into Zadie's early childhood development center I was excited. My child was getting…read moreintroduced to preschool and I was referred to them so I was happy. I informed the school of dietary restrictions for my child and also had given all forms required by them prior to starting from the doctor. Unfortunately this allergy was not taken seriously. On multiple occasions my child was served foods that they were allergic to. After the 1st time I was then told that the allergy chart was not up and that there was a miscommunication and it was understood that there were no restrictions for the child's diet. (Even though there was doctors notes in place) I was also told I would have to bring food from home or that they can serve the sides of the day excluding the protein. I was also told that the child would be separated from the rest of the class to make sure of the possibility of the child eating someone's else food wouldnt happen. I thought this would be a good idea but still from then on I was so paranoid that I would remind the staff the day of and call after lunch each time this item was on the menu to assure my child was ok. On the second occasion I spoke to the teacher who ASSURED me that my child did not eat the allergic item. 30 mins later I get a call that my child actually did and was experiencing allergic reactions. I was told that the teacher, yes the teacher was out of the room durning lunchtime and that the aid served lunch and fail to check the chart. With all that being said if you don't want to micro manage your child's school just skip this one. The staff is undertrained and the most important things get overlooked.
