This was the best massage I've had in awhile. Leo was incredibly intuitive with what was up with my muscles and dealt with my ailments remarkably well. Deep tissue massage at its best. The room was nice and tranquil too so I found myself falling asleep! My husband asked me if he should also visit as he's had some neck and shoulder pain from surfing. This place was great! We went in for a couples massage and didn't really know what to expect. We were very happy we tried this place out! The couples room was dark and peaceful. I would highly recommend Time Out. Leo worked on me today and did an excellent job. His attention to detail was incredible and he made sure that the massage was exactly what I needed it to be. So Time Out is not the fanciest place I have been too, They could redecorate the massage rooms to be more spa like. However that isn't what really matters! Leo was very knowledgable and listened to my concerns. Parts of the massage were very deep and painful but its what my body needed! Very reasonable pricing, but language barrier was an impediment. I called the night before to make a reservation, but when I walked in, the person who met me (not the person I spoke with on the phone) acted like she didn't know I was coming in. I got a 90-minute deep tissue massage with hot stones treatment. It worked very well and I felt great afterwards. There was a lot of miscommunication, as I was quoted one price over the phone, but was asked to pay a lot less when I got there. When I made the reservation, I was told they accepted credit cards, but when I arrived, the card reader was "broken" and I had to pay cash upfront. I asked the masseuse if she was the owner of the business, and she responded in the affirmative. When I emerged afterwards, even though I had pre-paid in cash, another woman was insisting that I tIp my masseuse. If I had the correct answers to my questions, I would have been happy to tip the woman and save myself the embarrassment of digging into my wallet for my last dollars to properly compensate the masseuse. Assuming I could get a reservation made, I would probably go back. She did a good job. read more

My mom and I had massages with Leo and Victoria. The massages were great - both Leo and Victoria could tell where we were tight and worked to loosen up those spaces. Went back for a prenatal massage. Again, called the day of. Let them know I was five months along, and they had everything ready for us when we got in an hour later. The massage was fantastic. Leo was so sweet, generally making sure I was okay and I appreciated it ! My husband got a deep tissue massage, and left in much less pain then when we came in. Time Out Massage is great. This was the first time I ever received a massage, and it was an awesome experience. They gave me water when I arrived, and the rooms are very relaxing with dim lighting and soothing music. My BF and I stopped off in San Clemente to wait out the traffic on our drive home to LA. The road had gotten us stressed! We found Time Out and with no reservations they were able to accommodate us within a 1/2 hour. Leo and Victoria were our therapists and led us into this serene room set up for couples. The massage tables were heated and had very soft linens. Leo went to work on me and 1/2 way through the massage noted that my right lower back was less flexible than my left. He was spot on. I've been struggling with lower back issues for a year and predominantly on my right side. The massage itself was amazing. A medley of traditional Thai massage with stretching, deep tissue, hot oiled stones (heavenly!) and a little Swedish to balance the transitions. At the end my BF said Victoria gave him the best massage he's had in months. He was very happy. This is a quality business and it is clear Leo knows good service. I'll try to be balanced in my review. Girlfriend and I wanted a couple massage and they accommodated us with 30 mins notice. Per my gf, Leo was pretty good. We both had a 60 min massage, the highlight being a 5 min hot stone massage 3/4 into the massage. Nice touch. Most massages are like pizza...even the worst pizza is still edible. However, that said, Kim must have learned her craft washing dishes...cuz that's what I felt, like a dish. It was like "wax on, wax off", no skill, just fast hands rubbing parts of my body. Worse, 1/4 through, she left the massage to answer the phone for 4 mins. It was the single worst massage I've ever had because she just didn't know what she was doing. The ambiance was average...typical massage music, but the face rest was cushioned by not a pillow w/sleeve you'd normally find... instead, they used one of those coarse Holiday Inn quality towels that was rough. I'm one who doesn't like to complain mid-massage, as its so personal but I'll never go back. read more
