This is the second location we've been to. And, they are just as amazing as the first! As soon as you walk in, it feels like you've walked into a spa in Thailand. The entire place is clean and beautifully decorated. They have a small parking lot for approximately 8 cars and there is free street parking, as well. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We walked in a little after they opened, requested a 90 min couples massage, and were taken right into our private room. The room was very dimly lit and you'll see that instead of a massage table, they use mats that are on the floor. Before you get started, don't forget to use the potty! You want to make sure you are as relaxed as possible and not worry about having to hold anything in or having to stop during your massage. In the private room, they asked what areas we wanted to have them focus on and the type of pressure we wanted. Then, they gave us a few minutes to undress. They have hangers on the wall to hang up your clothes. We undressed down to our underwear, but guess you can take it all off if you want. Just know that you may not always be covered as the towel might shift, especially during the stretches if they're included in the type of massage you requested. Once undressed, we were asked to lay face down on the mat and to cover ourselves with the towel that was provided. The room and the mats were a nice, warm temperature and never felt cold while there. There are nice, soothing sounds and music playing softly in the background. If you don't specify what type of massage you want, they will automatically give you the fusion massage. During our 90 min fusion massage, they used a combination of techniques: pressure points, walking on us from our feet up to our back (they have rails on the ceiling to hold on to), deep tissue massage, hot stones, assisted stretches. They used some tiger balm and a good amount of oil throughout the massage, but have damp, warm towels to wipe you down with. At times it hurt a bit, but always felt so good! They definitely went to town, trying to remove all the kinks and knots and to release all of the built up tension in our muscles. They made sure to hit practically every inch of our bodies. They did not massage our entire face, but did a bit on our foreheads and temples. Once the massage started, they made sure that we were comfortable and that their pressure was to our liking. They put in a lot of effort to ensure that our visit was as enjoyable, beneficial, and relaxing as possible. Definitely a unique, yet fantastic massage. Not comparable to any other massage we've ever had. Give this place a try! We'll be returning guests, for sure. If you plan on doing the same, don't leave there without a stamp card. You'll get a stamp for every hour of service you have and will eventually get a free one hour massage. read more

I went back in Nov. for another massage, this was my 3rd time, and it is still fantastic! Worth every penny. I hope everyone tries this place out. The temperature and level of the music were perfect, the massage was rehabilitating, I left feeling much better. I was sore and asked for extra balm, so Sophia used extra tiger balm on my back and neck and then at the end of the massage she used 3 or 4 piping hot towels to wipe off the massage oil, wow, the heat felt amazing and now I was really sleepy. Sophia is outstanding and a master MT. I appreciate that I can fall asleep and that I can relax, I don't feel like I have to carry on long conversations, but she is glad to answer questions if I ask. She will check to see if you can handle the amount of pressure that she is applying. I went later in the afternoon than normal, so it was a little more crowded, and I still could not hear much noise, just some murmuring in the hallway. Absolute ruddest lady working at this place. Condescending, bad attitude with the worst service. They need to fire the lady working at the front. After making a 24 hour advance reservation for a couple's massage, we walked in 10 minutes late and she refused service and told me that she already took someone else for our massage. Then she condescendingly told me "you need to be on time". There is a 15 minute grace period and we arrived before the 15 minute late period. I showed the clock to her, as it was CLEARLY Before 15 minutes. I have been coming to this place for 10 years, and this ladies behavior and attitude is unacceptable. She argued with me about everything and was insanely rude! I used to tell everyone to come here, and now I will be sure to do the opposite. Went here last Sunday after reading the good reviews. As soon as you enter the place, you can tell you've stepped off into a calm, mellow little universe hidden away in San Clemente. You are gently greeted, asked to wait, and then taken to a dimly lit room with relaxing music playing in the background. You disrobe, cover yourself with a sheet, and lie down. Soon, my masseuse came in and got to work. I drifted away under the healing touch of her hands. They didn't ask what kind of massage I wanted (Thai, Swedish, or Fusion), but I was at ease to just go with the flow, so it was a bit of a fusion massage. Some great stretching and bending of limbs and back, and some great tissue massage. I asked twice for her to turn up the pressure a bit-I didn't get a whole lot more, so next time I guess I need to be just a bit more demanding. That was my one minor comlaint. Other than that, Nadia was able to leave me feeling soothed and relaxed after a great massage. I also appreciated the hot towels they use to rub you down so you don't go home feeling sticky and oily. Very professional and friendly staff and they are great at what they do. They ask what you need them to work on and/or what areas are bothering you and as they work if they notice kinks or knots they will focus in to work them out. If you prefer your massage while wrapped in sheets on an operating table this experience may not be for you. Here you enter a tranquil and beautiful Thai world and are escorted to a private room where you disrobe and lie on a comfortable mat on the floor. A towel creates a sense of modesty as the therapist enters and proceeds to manipulate every party of your body. Remember this is a full body massage. The combination of the deep tissue and oil massage created a totally relaxing encounter. You give in and let the therapist take control. After every session I have total relief from chronic shoulder pain and nagging discomfort in my legs. I actually feel revived and 10 years younger. George is a true professional and his training brings new techniques and suggestions every week. Pretty good massage at their newest location in San Clemente at $65/hr which is better than the standard $85/hr at Americanized spas. They did a great job w/ the decor, it's all dark woods and very peaceful & zen. This was our first Thai massage experience and it was in a couples room. They don't have traditional massage tables, they have padded mats on the floor. As with most Asian massage places, the therapists use the full weight of their body at times when they are really getting into certain muscles, so they will kind of climb onto your back. Don't freak out, it's completely legit and professional. This is not THAT kind of place. These women are strong and will throw the creepy people out in a heartbeat. They cover you up with a thin towel, so it's a little more exposed than normal. I focused on my great massage and didn't let my modesty ruin it. They use warm towels to wipe the oil off of you so you don't leave greasy. They are really nice with great customer service. We'd come back here again. read more

I was in horrible pain from stress and in serious need of a massage, as we drove through town we saw this place on the side of the road & a couple others so I called all of them, and this one had immediate availability. I've been going to Thai Body Works for the past two years on a regular basis and I find this place to be one of the best massages I have ever experience. I like very deep tissue and they are the first to provide me with the extreme pressure I require in a massage. I have tried several different therapists but found that Pamela is the very best! I cannot even describe how good it feels having her walk or dig her elbow in my back, stretching my limbs and spine, and the hot, oiled stones on my body. I walk 6 to 10 miles each day so my feet are especially sore. Pamela's foot massage is epic. If I had the money I would hire her to give my wife and I a massage every morning. I am recovering from knee surgery and explained my limitations and Erica was quick to adapt to create the most personalized experience.
