This store is ridiculous!!! They have three people working with the customers and three other men standing on the other side just looking at computers ignoring customers. When I asked why they couldn't help customers the supervisor' told me they were managers. SO WHAT. They don't know how to work customer service?? Makes no sense for them to be on the floor if they aren't helping anyone. It makes people like me wonder if this is why the bill keeps going up. We have to pay for managers to stand around. I went to the Spectrum store in Lynwood to exchange my mom's cable modem. I was met at the door and told, there was no more equipment to exchange. I was instructed to try the Downey store, but since they have they are stocked from the same warehouse they would probably be out as well. A suggestion was also made to go to Inglewood. I thought I would try the Downey store anyway since it was closer. The folks in Downey were really good and indicated that they get people from the Lynwood store all the time. I got the modem and was on my way home. While driving, I thought about the situation and went back to the Lynwood store understand why there was no equipment to exchange. I attempted to speak to the manager, Daniel, who I believe did not want to talk to me at the time. First excuse after going in the back to look for the manager was: He is out to lunch. The second excuse was here is the toll free phone number for customer service. I refused the number since I wanted to talk to the person responsible for the store not someone who has probably never been in store. I finally left my phone number and asked that Daniel call me back. Thankfully I received a call from Daniel with 20 minutes. He explained that the store always runs out of equipment and there are long lines everyday. If this is truly the case, then Spectrum needs to make sure the Lynwood gets more equipment to handle their daily needs. Stocking the store is a far cheaper solution than sending a tech to the home just to exchange equipment. Turning people away because the store is out of equipment does not look or sound vert good. If Daniel is correct that they run out of equipment everyday, then someone is not managing the store inventory very well. I hope this situation is corrected. read more

I was about to leave a really bad review as I was here the night before and had a horrible experience with an older lady that was very rude and interrupted me when I was just trying to explain something... but !! I came back the next morning to finish turning in my equipment and was greeted with a smile and had the best customer service experience with employee Hector, it was a very pleasant experience and he was very engaging and listened to everything I said and helped me me out. First off, the parking lot was a mess. Customers were flowing in TW as if they were giving out free food! An employee had to hold the door open for customers to come in. She was nice and greeted people. Another employee stood near here directing customers to their areas of need. That was a plus as well. The seating/waiting areas were crowded with unnecessary kids and full families. I don't know why people bring the entire household to a place like this when customers need to get in and out!! After about a 25 minute ridiculous wait, I got the internet box. Though, the lady who checked me out was nice, she didn't give me any instructions, explanations, or anything. I thought self-installation would be easy and quick, and I was eager to install internet at my new place asap! One useless small paper with 'instructions' were inside the box. I was pissed because I was not told I'd need a coaxial cable or additional supplies for set up. Luckily, I found an old one. Still, set up failed so I resorted to Youtube. (smdh) After no success there, I called TW. A rep walked me through a few steps still, to no avail. This led to a service request a few days later. Great! That meant I had to go another half of a week using my cell phone's hotspot. I was given a service appointment time frame. However, I was supposed to receive a call when the service rep was on his way. Well...he showed up at my door, unannounced!!! WTF?! After about 10 minutes through set up, a TW recording said he was on his way. Really!? He was thorough and quick. I found out I could not set up internet because he had to use a different coaxial connection and wall plug. Not to mention, he had to set up my username and password. NONE of this information, by the way, was on the piece of paper that came in the box. So far, I've had internet for almost 3 weeks. It had disconnected from my Directv and I've had to reconnect it at least twice...same issues everyone complains about. However, I don't rely heavily on the internet for daily home use. Maybe this will keep me from yanking out cords and canceling service right away. The jury is still out on that...LOL read more

The Spectrum Lynwood Location is unprofessional and has horrible customer service. Their staff is needs more training and doesn't know how to handle the traffic flow of customers coming in to get help. The automatic machine to at bills has been out of service for 3 month. That's ridiculous and stupid to make people wait in line or register to get help. There should be an ONLY PAYMENT CLERK/WINDOW for payments only if the stupid machine is going to be broke. I have no idea why this store is still open. If you want to experience the worst customer service at this store you need to look for Elena. She will not make any effort to help you if there is an issue. The second I said I was having issues with my mobile she interrupted me and just said I can't help you, you need to call 611. Elena didn't even attempt to look at the notes in my account, she just pushed us away. The employees will not call their own customer service to resolve the problem, they expect you to call them and they will use your phone to talk with THEIR customer service. It is apparent that Spectrum didn't train their employees to handle mobile issues, just taught them to sell a product that they are not able to service. I was looking to change my plan and the first time walking into the store, I was assisted by someone who appeared like they didn't know what they were talking about and offered me a plan for $75.99 a month for internet service. I left the store and went back in and was approached by a new sales rep Sandra and she was well informed on the plans she could offer me and actually looked into my account and assisted me to qualify for extra assistance. Sandra got me a plan for $64.99 but since I qualified for the govt assistance program it dropped down to $30 a month. Thank you Sandra for the awesome plan. I look forward to working with you again! I have been waiting for over 40 minutes to return my router and exchange a remote. I see several employees on the computer going back and forth into a back room. However they are not helping the long line of customers. There is one employee spraying air freshener and walking around then back to his computer. Overall customer service is horrible here. They supposedly run them through a machine to verify their legitimacy and they even supposedly confirmed that bill was real but then wouldn't exchange it for my mom. It's a shame that they would be willing to do that to people.i find it hard to believe that the person who handed it to her did not know what they were doing. Worst customer service on the planet! I cancelled service due to numerous outages and slow speed. It got so bad that my employer threatened my telecommuting position with the college. Spectrum told me that I could return my devices to any UPS or this store in Lynwood, CA within 15 days and my bill would be zero. There is a UPS by my house, so I thought okay I'll send it off on Monday. Over the weekend I got a bill for over $200 due to a lack of returning equipment. I was then told to go to the store in Lynwood. So I drove all the way over here to be strong armed at the door. I thought maybe they are just checking to ensure people have masks on. Then the manager comes out and tells me that he won't accept my equipment or credit my account. I need to go to UPS and get a receipt. He would not even let me in the door. When the person who wanted to sign up for new service walks up, he greets her with the greatest customer service, lets her in, then tells me to kick rocks. I'm so glad a terminated my service after my over 12 years of consistency as a client. AT&T is offering better service that is high speed, quality, and consistent. You don't have to put up with this kind of disrespect and poor service. I stayed loyal due to price and the ability to remain month to month. It's just not worth it anymore.
