I purchased a house with a horrible back yard pool area. There were ugly concrete blocks sitting at crazy angles with oil stains and who knows what else (they had their elderly dog using the area rather than walking it!). 5 or 6 different contractors came by to make bids. The pool designs they have on their look incredible. I wanted to get a quote for a small lounge pool and spa and explained on the phone I don't have a large yard. They came for the quote and kept trying to upsell me on a larger pool and spa which would have taken up to much space and said that a smaller pool and spa would cost just as much (~$100K) so I should just go with the larger one.
