To start the waxer was incredibly rough, constantly grabbing my head and jerking it around, pressing into my eye socket and waxing the skin off my eyelids, not to mention at no point in time did she attempt to correct anything when I informed her that the witch hazel was burning (most likely due to my skin being ripped off), the only answer she had was I had "sensitive skin" (I do not have sensitive skin and have never had issues with waxing) I ended up leaving with swollen eye lids, ripped skin and a horrible tint job.

It was relatively painless so in that context she knew what she was doing. She also sold aftercare products that have helped to ensure no ingrowns. Things I didn't love: she was quick but not super precise. For instance, when I've had my eyebrows or legs done in the past, the aesthetician would wax, then go in with tweezers and make sure to get everything. That wasn't a thing here. She also had me change and lie on the table with my bottom half facing the door...a door she went in and out of several times which made me feel exposed should people walk by. And lastly, she put the used waxed strips on the table so when I rolled over, they might have stuck to me. The same happened with my sister who was there at another time so it seems this is just sort of how it works.

Little snack. Very nice. They also had very English music playing which was nice. After the wash I got my hair cut. I wanted layers but Priya- the hair stylist suffers a different route for my hair. I agreed and she did it. When it was to blow dry my hair she asked again for how I wanted I was alike I want bangs out side if they you pick. I think it was good. The only thing I think they should do it is give a recipe for the all breakdown. Parking you have underground and outside. The price I think is about average to high. Would I come back will see how I feel in a day or two.. but so far I would. It lost a star cause data is very hard to use your phone. I didn't win the contest, but I fell in love with the vibrant colours they offered, many of which are not offered at other salons. I emailed for an appt, but later called in on my lunch hour and booked an appt. I wanted to donate my hair, cut, and colour. I was given an appt for cut and colour consultation. (They also did email me back later that day! Extra points for having their communication channels available and monitored.) I just went for my cut today, and it was a fantastic experience. The salon is clean and modern. Angela was fun and professional. She measured, tied, cut, and braided for donation. We talked about colour and as I haven't coloured in about 20 years now, she gave some suggestions. Cut was done quickly and very well done. I was in and out within 1hour. Super excited for the colour appt!

I used to love going here. I never had many horrible experiences. However, last time I was there, I felt rushed and I was out in 10 minutes for an eyebrow appointment. Granted the lady did say she was quite busy with laser services. The manager reached out and I was quite apologetic as I did not want anyone to get into trouble for a review I left. After 5 weeks, I decided to return and unfortunately I was paired with the same lady like last time. Although extremely nice, I think there there needs to be a few more training sessions. She threaded my brows. When she did my right brow, it was fine. But my left, I felt a sharp pain many times but didn't think nothing of it other than my eyebrow hairs not wanting to leave my face. I left I was happy and my eye brows looked good. What I notice when I return home was trauma to my brow bone. Lots of trauma and blood and tender feeling. I ended up applying topical cream for the cuts. I do believe this will be my last session there.

Vashti was able to squeeze me in same day, and did exactly what I asked for. She took a quarter of an inch off the ends and layered the front with a thick face frame (love this, I absolutely despise thinning shears). she was very detailed and made sure i was happy before i got out of the chair and once I was, we settled up. I didn't get a blow dry as I worked from home so didn't need a style done, but i trust she does a great job! The shop is a small one in the Markham and Steeles plaza with ample parking. Very accommodating, skilled hairdresser, and she offers other services like colouring, waxing, threading. Honestly such a great experience, this will be my new go to for my trims! Tip: she takes debit or cash and you can tip on debit!

I have never once been burned or had skin removed when she's done my wax job. Regardless of how simple of a service you request she takes her time and does the job right and isn't worried about how many customers she can get in and out the door just to make money (like some others in that area). I believe Adriana is the one of the lead hair stylists and store owner. She did balayage on me and "cleaned up" my hair cut. After we discussed my preferences, we agreed it would be best for her to simply trim some frayed hair rather than give me a full hair cut. In terms of colour, she did deliver on the "cool ashy blonde" I asked for. I would have preferred for the colour to be lighter, but she did caution me my naturally dark hair may not lift as much (which was the case). When we were almost done and she was styling my hair, she noticed some yellow/unsightly tones at the back of my head that weren't entirely toned. Despite already toning, washing and drying my hair, she stopped to re-tone that section. I thought that was very honest of her to do that. It shows her integrity and care to attention for her work.
