My first time trying this salon. My appointment was running late so they let me know and told me how much longer so I didn't spend my time waiting. Priya was my stylish. Did was really good. Firstly, she gave a good wash where I could actually feel her washing my scalp, not like others where they are barely touching your head. This followed with a head massage. Priya followed instructions with the requested length and took the time to cut, dry and style making sure it was all done properly. She was even diligent with the products she used. Call the same day for a hair cut. Got an appointment. Entering you get to hang your jacket. Staff welcome me with my name. Got a head message with an oil. Then after a bit I went for a wash. 3 washes the last one was the hair mask. Not sure what that did but it smell very good. Once I sat I was ask if I wanted anything to drink and they give me. Little snack. Very nice. They also had very English music playing which was nice. After the wash I got my hair cut. I wanted layers but Priya- the hair stylist suffers a different route for my hair. I agreed and she did it. When it was to blow dry my hair she asked again for how I wanted I was alike I want bangs out side if they you pick. I think it was good. The only thing I think they should do it is give a recipe for the all breakdown. Parking you have underground and outside. The price I think is about average to high. Would I come back will see how I feel in a day or two.. but so far I would. It lost a star cause data is very hard to use your phone. Also when I asked for a recipe you give me the card one not the details recipe. I have no idea why these numbers. Will ask next time for one let's hope I get it. read more

I went in for a haircut with Allison and once I was seated, we had a consultation - she was patient with me, gave me good suggestions, and showed me pics on the iPad. I ended up cutting off 8 inches in the front, and 10 inches of hair at the back. I got to take the bundles of hair with me to donate. I really like my haircut and I ended up getting it styled (blow dry with thickening products). Allison gave me lots of great styling advice too, so thank you! They also use Avena hair products (all natural I think) and my hair had a eucalyptus smell to it after, but I didn't mind it. I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking for a new place!! read more

The reason why I took stars off is that they charged me tax on the original amount ($50) and not the Groupon amount ($35). I have purchased Groupons in the past and I have always been charged tax on the Groupon amount and not the original amount. It doesn't make sense to be charged tax on the original amount as that's not the money I paid for the service. I contacted Groupon and they were able to resolve the issue for me but this left a bad taste in my mouth. Sketchy business. read more

I went here at the recommendation of a friend and was definitely not disappointed. I've had so many bad haircuts in my life so I'm always hesitant to try to new places and hadn't cut my hair in over a year. Talat did a fantastic job on my hair, she was very thorough at making sure my layers were even and so nice to talk to. She gave me recommendations for products and styling tips (since I don't know how to style my hair whatsoever). My husband came here for a men's cut and he was super satisfied with the job done, and the attention paid to his desired length and style before and during the cut. His hair is relatively fine and so he always finds it hard to find a stylist that knows what to do with his hair to give it a shape and maintain it so he doesn't need to run back for a cut after 1 month. In town for business and hated my hair color (which I changed right before a 3-week trip). Made a last minute appointment with Vass. He was honest and creative. It was not easy to give me what I wanted, but he was fully committed and didn't stop until we were both satisfied. I was especially impressed because he knew I was from out of town, yet he treated me like I would come back. Usually, I don't tell anyone that I am from out of town so that I don't get that, "you're not coming back anyway, so I don't have to do my best" thing. I spent $200 doing a highlight and a cut. right off the bat was this $75 more expensive. I attached a picture of my hair to show you that the entire back of my head (I wanted red highlights) has NOTHING and that Nimisha made all my highlights not noticeable at all. The highlights were completely the wrong color too. With the entire back my of head missing, the color also being wrong, the rest not noticeable shows me how much of a rip off this place is. Reading the comments here of course I got the feeling of "uuuh should i give it a try?" if you have the same question the answer is Yes, you should. I had a big party to go to and decided to give this place a shot for a style updo and I came here based on gut feel and convenience (close to where I live). I called in for a reservation days earlier so I appreciate it when they were prompt and didn't have to make me wait when I arrived. They even asked if I wanted anything to drink and yes I had a latte. Poor Nimisha she got stuck with a Diva. I had an idea of what I wanted and showed her a photo of my dress which helped her get direction of what to do; but because I knew what I wanted, every curl and strand had to be in place. She was very professional, patient and fun to work with as I know I can be a very trying client. She was very thoughtful as well when I mentioned I still had to finish my make-up she offered to lend some tools and opened some of her make up for me while she did my hair. She was very informative too ! I discovered that this place is a one stop Salon, which means you can basically have everything done in one place as they offer an array of services not just for your hair, they offer hair removal (wax, thread or laser), facials, massages, manis, pedis, lash extensions, even microblading and I don't know what else but I intend to check their website soon. To answer your questions about price, well they're not cheap. I paid $60 for the updo (plus tax and tip comes to about $70 -ish) which to me was worth it because : 1. they were very professional 2. the atmosphere was calming 3. the attentive service that I received 4. they listened to what I want; ensured that I got what I want; 5. the number of hairpins I pulled from my hair was crazy , it stayed on until the next day! LOL. 6. In relative to #5 my hair still looked fabulous (albeit messy) the next day I still rocked the do while I went out with the family for a little outing. I was very happy with the result (I received compliments all night) and I felt like a princess with my hair. By the way , they have a referral program, refer 3 friends and they offer you a discount on your next service (heheh) so if this review was somewhat helpful mention my name. The only reason I am saying this is because I love this place & I'd like to try their other services and much as I think their worth the splurge, discounts wouldn't hurt. Wonderful AVEDA shop with great customer service, reasonable pricing, and skilled stylists. I came here for a blowout the night before attending a wedding, and the salon owner listened to what I wanted and enhanced it by coming up with a style that looked great that night and that still gave me the volume to work with the next day. She was even conscious that the products would not weigh it down on the second day. The front desk staff was great on the phone and in person, and they even squeezed me in for a nail appointment at the end of their busy Friday. Just the customer service and expertise and great environment that you want in a salon experience. Looks like they have a wide range of services, including threading. Went a while back, not planning on going back any time soon. I told the colourist what I wanted and she seemed to be on the same page. Then at the end she dried my hair and I saw the colour. She told me that she knew it wasn't what we had talked about but that she thought this would be better. Ended up being more expensive than what I asked for and it looked nothing like what I wanted. That being said, I know a few people that have had good experiences with the stylists there. It very well may have been a one off, but I'm not about to spend more money there to find out. read more

I visited the salon for the first time to have a long-due haircut. I got a nice shampoo and conditioning and hair masking and then a nice cut, blow dry, styling from Allison. I am very satisfied with the result. I used $20 coupon I got from xmas shopping at the salon, so the price was very affordable. They also carry a comprehensive Aveda products there, which is always a good thing for an Aveda fan like me living in the neighborhood. read more

I went to this salon after I saw it on Yelp. Nimisha did my haircut and I was so happy with it! She took the time to understand my hair concerns and how my hair routine is to give me the best service. I also got a hair massage before my haircut which felt amazing which was a part of the haircut fee (wasn't considered an additional service) I loved my visit here because it seems that the staff is genuinely invested in providing good service. For example, I wanted to get my haircut as well as get my hair coloured, but Nimisha told me I should let it get healthy first. I really appreciated that because it means the salon is actually looking out for the client's best interests as opposed to making more money. Did my roots in this place and always noted that the price is above average however continued to come because the location was close to my workplace. However I started to notice the black color on my roots started to wear away and they didn't even cover all my roots! They missed out a good portion of my hair root and for $60 it's just not feasible. Terrible service and less then stellar performance. Will be taking my money somewhere worth while. Will have to go somewhere else and spend more money to fix their problem. read more

I'm very disappointed. I went in wanting to turn my fully blonde hair into a more natural balayge look. I left looking exactly the same as when I walked in. I spent $269. I couldn't really tell it was exactly the same as before due to the poor lighting. I won't be back. I now have to have my hair done again to get what I wanted. read more
