He put me out instead of putting her out I really should have sued him and the wierdo house mom for all this but I was dealing with so much in my life at the time but yea don't stay here unless you wanna get scammed! He takes advantage of young artists & dancers hunger to live and make it in LA by overcharging you for a bedroom that's the size of a small closet or packing 10 ppl into 1 room. Won't be suprised if he deletes my review. I got all the receipts to back up what I'm saying! Yall young artists & dancers seeing this review please be very careful working in the entertainment industry and if something don't feel right trust that feeling it's God warning you! UPDATE***Hey Free, It's disappointing but not surprising at all to see you continue to deny responsibility instead of addressing the facts and making things right with me. You kno who this is. In January 2016, I paid you for rent for February 2016 through April 2016 and was put out about a week or 2 later and despite repeated attempts to resolve it, I was never refunded the full amount. Thats the definition of a scam. Your claims about helping "hundreds of dancers" don't erase the fact that you failed to deliver what I paid for. Whether or not you call it a "rule," keeping someone's money without providing the service is wrong. Other reviews that you got yelp to remove also describe similar experiences, so this isn't an isolated case. I'm sharing my experience so future dancers and artists don't go through the same thing I went through. You need to be careful how you treat people because everything in this life comes back to you I kno this was back in 2016 but I never forgot and neither did God! You will answer to God for this & everyone else you did bad business with Free! ima go ahead and post my receipt of rent paid for February 10th through April 10th since you think I'm lying and yes you do pack like 6 to 10 ppl into a room lol how you gon tell me that you don't when I used to live there? How do you sleep at night knowing that you once put a young woman out on the street wit nowhere to go at the time and took the last of my money at that time yea your human, a horrible human and like I said you gon answer to God for all this

Watching Simpsons on FOX and a roof over my head. Yeah, the area wasn't welcoming but I didn't care and it was the best value for my buck. Water worked. Thank you again.

So here's an honest review,…read more pros: it was a very cheap hotel and for someone like me who had to get smtg very last minute with not a lot in the bank, it was perfect, I was staying there to go to a convention down the street and it was only 10 min which was great, website says no private parking (from what I remember) but there is an area to park in the back, it's gated and you have to press a button to get in or out which me and my friend were very happy about, the fridge was pretty nice, not a mini fridge, it had two different doors for reg fridge and a freezer, lots of drawers and cabinet space, tv worked well, bed was comfortable and pillows were comfortable and the locks on the doors were electric so you need a card to get in. Cons: there were stains all over our sheets, nothing crazy but more like stuff you can't really get out (coffee, wine, etc) but one of these sheets had someone's name written on it with a pen?? To us, it looked like they just didn't change that sheet, pillows had stuff on it too, we ended up going to get pillow cases to cover them, I personally didn't see bed bugs but we did have an encounter with two roaches, one dead and one alive, they are the size of horse fly, one of the drawers had nerds clusters in it and it looked like some of the nerds were on the floor too, there was a medical cabinet that had an old bag in there with god knows what, someone got a arrested the first night we stayed there, lots of yelling and threats (also would like to add this was not in their control and the front desk did call the cops), when I was checking in, the man asked if I wanted to see the room I said yes and when leaving he asked if I was staying alone and as a younger fem presenting person, this made me very uncomfortable for a older man to ask me this, I thought it was inappropriate and made me feel unsafe before I even got the key to the room, very thin walls, we were right next to the kitchen and could hear everything, I didn't want to take a pic for their privacy but also in the kitchen there were these couches and there looked to be a homeless person sleeping on one, there is absolutely no security on the grounds aside from the cameras and the gate and for this hotel being in a "rough" neighborhood, I feel like it's needed to insure the safety of their guests and also I don't know if this is just a hotel or not, it almost seemed like it was part hotel and part apartment complex, not really a bad thing but just thought it was strange Over all, would I stay here again, most likely not. The cons outweigh the pros too much I don't think I will ever come back unless needed too, there were other hotels with similar rates nearby that I'd rather not come back to this one.

The front desk has two or three employees depending on the time. Everyone was friendly; Barry, Carlos, Niki, Zena, Tosh, Taylor, Miguel and Oscar. I reserved a room online at: https://walkoffamehostel.com/ I reserved a private room and it's not ready until 3 pm. I wish I would have known that before showing up. There is a luggage room with surveillance and I left my bag. I have an expensive Apple PowerBook and they held this behind the front desk. I left and returned at 5 pm to find all of my things cared for during my absence. First observation is aside from the ratty steps at the entrance this place is incredibly clean. The floors, the bathrooms, the ledges, the lounge area, kitchen; there is no dust and the scent of clean is everywhere. I love the hot and cold filtered water machines located all around the public areas. I literally walk ten feet from my room for this. My private room number 3 has a queen bed, refrigerator, tv, cable box and two remotes. I could not get the cable to work but Carlos at the front desk came in and fixed it. He also explained the remotes. The queen size bed is comfortable; I would prefer if it were higher off the floor. I blame my mother for spoiling me. Huge closet area. It's bigger than my master bedroom closet. I have a European air conditioner that I don't need tonight because my big window has a good evening breeze and there is a ceiling fan above the bed. The tv sound and quality is excellent. WiFi power is excellent; this is very important to me. This WiFi is stronger than my stays at Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott and Holiday Inn Suites. The room has some art and good lighting but there are two wall red lamps and I can't find the light switch for them. Miguel came to my room and showed me how to use. The windows facing south of Sunset have lots of noise from the parking employee conversation and laughter. It just echos in the room. I finally closed the double pane windows and there was no longer any noise. To turn the ac I had to go retrieve a remote from the front desk and return it. These ac units are completely silent and work very well. The temperature and lack of noise in my room was excellent. All I could hear was moving air. A friend came over to deliver food and passed by the front desk. They came to knock on the door and asked for his ID; I love that because it's a younger clientele and it feels right. I'm very impressed. Love the location. Lots of charm. There are $40/beds in shared rooms if I wanted to save bucks. The rate with tax for my private room is $131.00. Everyone receives a free continental breakfast. Jimmy Kimmel live is right next door. If you want the LA experience, stay here. History, action, community and all of it in a safe clean and friendly environment. Location location location.

This wasn't greatly inconvenient but not a big deal either. The room was clean. Parking is free. It was perfect for my one night away from the kids. When I asked for a late checkout, the first person I spoke to was a bit barky. I understand in the more "economical" motels, there is a fear of transients or something. I really don't like feeling disregarded, disrespected or dissed in general. I mean, I've never worked in a motel type field so I don't want to speak for them, but customers simply aren't spoken to that way at the more expensive hotels. The person on site was nice. I was able to pay $20 for each extra hour. It was my weekend without kids, so I just wanted to lay in bed. I am not sure if it was worth it. I wish it was $20 for two extra hours and then I could have left. So, it was dark and comfy. Cheap. Well positioned, but I wouldn't take my kids there.

It's big and clean and has all the bells and whistles. There's a ton of artwork that is worked into the design of the space so you can easily see graffiti labels on the walls. . I booked a one night stay in an all female four (4) bedroom dorm and only encountered one of three women with whom I was to share the room. They give you a towel for free upon checking in and there's a $10 fee to do laundry for two hours and a $5 fee to stow your luggage if need be. You can find a locker in your room for easy storage and they have changing rooms in the restrooms which are designated for both men and women, thankfully! For the common areas, they have a huge kitchen with several refrigerators, an electric stove and a communal dining table. There's a lounge too with bar seating, a pool table, benches and chairs. You can also find several water filter stations in the building. . There are quiet hours from midnight to 7am which at that time the lounge and kitchen are closed so make sure to eat dinner prior to then. Lastly, they offer a free breakfast from 7am to 9am. I deducted one start because Hollywood can be loud and sketchy at night, but I had no issues. As for parking, it's either paid in a garage or street parking. I was blessed to find free street parking on Hawthorne street which is a short walk from the hostel. I highly recommended and would stay again. . Update: I work in LA often and travel down from the 3 hours or more to do so. I have a ride that is picking me up the day after I was due to check out of Samesun this weekend, but the host/receptionist at the front desk today (a young gentleman with glasses and locs) told me I need proof of ongoing travel leaving Los Angeles in order to stay there. Which I don't have because again, a friend is picking me up post check out. He essentially gave me an ultimatum to book ongoing travel in order to check in or cancel my reservation. Mind you, this was not the procedure when I checked in last week. So, I was in Hollywood with no accommodations for the next two days because the hosts here are inconsistent with carrying out their policies. Just because I don't have a plane or bus or train ticket doesn't mean I'm not leaving the city after I check out. And it's not like they are scanning the travel ticket or asking for the reservation numbers for the travel to put it on the reservation, so it's really unnecessary. . Come to find out, per their policy, if I'm a local USA traveler I could use an out of state driver's license to check in (which I have), but he conveniently left that part out.

I try not to be judgmental but the people that are outside smoking cigs everyday tells me 2 things: 1--They actually live here and are not traditional "hotel clientele." 2--They seem to be: smack, pimp/prostitute, degenerate "friendly"... Cheap deal, but not for your loved one or yourself for that matter. Beware of Hollywood Dorms around the way off Hollywood Blvd as well.
