Buyers beware: Bought a cord of wood from this company. When they knew I was going to spend $220 they picked up right away, but when we called back to tell them that it wasn't a full cord of wood, nor was it seasoned wood they ignored my husband's calls three times. They will not pick up the phone or call us back. This wood does not light. We were told we were getting seasoned wood. This is not what this is. these people are the worst there are. they are do not know the industry and clearly are not professional. currently in the process of reporting to the bbb as a marketing fraud. Theit people are horrendous, rude and they are full of liars. they claim they offer 16-18 in 12-18 months dry fire wood. the load that was just drop is absolutely atrocious. The reviews made me nervous - I was about to cancel when I saw the wood had been delivered and my son had paid for it. The wood looked good! It's a good size pile - I'd guess it's a cord and a half. But much of it is very heavy and has a high moisture content. Also a lot of slabs and chunks. So it's been a bit of a challenge to burn. Once you get a nice orange base, it'll burn but not as hot as the drier pieces. Definitely not seasoned 14 - 18 months as promised, or it's been stored uncovered. For the price, this would be good wood to buy if you don't need to burn it right away and can season it yourself. I am going to bring as much in as possible so it can have a chance to dry. When I saw the pile, I was determined to make this my new wood supplier, but now I don't think so. read more

We found Timmy's Timber in an ad in Newsday 631-838-1825. We called Timmys and ordered three cords of 14 month seasoned firewood. This was in the beginning of November. The wood was delivered on November 5 and dumped in our driveway. That's OK, everyone does that. By the time we started moving and stacking the wood in the place we store it, we discovered that we did not receive three cords. Instead we received about one cord of stackable wood. The rest of the delivery was miscellaneous pieces of miss-matched junk wood. (See photo) We called Timmy's Timber on multiple occasions. We spoke with someone who claim to be the boss on the weekend before Thanksgiving. He claimed he was out of the office when we had called previously and that he would take care of the situation. The wood was supposed to be delivered the Friday after Thanksgiving and it wasn't. We made at least a dozen phone calls to Timmy's Timber I never received a call back. These guys don't have a website.They have no social media presence and are very unprofessional. I would steer clear of Timmy's Timber. We felt like they took our money and did not deliver promised services. Paid $400 for 1 cord usable wood! read more

I ordered two cords from this company and had to pay them before they dropped it. Afterwards I said it wasn't two cords. I called Timmy who assured me that he would make good on it. I stacked the wood and barely had a cord and a half. Timmy has seen refused to answer my calls or text. He was very nice to me on the phone when I called but has yet to make good on the 3/4 cord that he owes me. I would not recommend you use this company. Got completely ripped off. Staked same day as delivery. And got shorted face cord and a half. Driver was wearing a Ronkonkoma fire dept shirt. Since I recently retired from the FDNY I gave him nice tip. Called that day to complain and they said they would come back next day. Well that never happend. I wish I had seen these reviews before ordering from this place. When I called, they told me that they were going to give me seasoned hardwood, mostly oak. First of all, it was a little shy of a full cord. Secondly, the wood was truly lousy. It was more than 1/2 rotten wood, some pine and the rest was green oak. I have been burning wood for 41 years, splitting my own when I can, buying it at other times, and I have to say that in 41 years, this was the WORST wood I have ever gotten. Called add in Newsday. They claimed seasoned 12-24 months. The delivery was shy of a full cord but I didn't really have room for that so I was ok with that. The wood was a mix of 85 % unseasoned moist oak that won't burn. If I use other wood and split Timmy's wood I can get it to burn but it will not continue to burn on its own. 10 % pine and a mix of rotten and other wood that I can't recognize. There also is a large amount of twisted knotty sections that are too difficult to split and will not stack. Dank had the same price but came out and said the wood was all hardwood and not fully seasoned. read more

I had a cord delivered by Timmy's last year. It was a bit short once stacked but it was usable dry wood. I've come to expect this over the years. It seems to be an industry standard but I do expect 85 to 90%. So this year I called Timmy's again. The "cord" delivered in November was at least 1/3 short and was not seasoned as advertised. Calls and text to Timmy we're not answered. Cross this one off your list. read more
