Jennifer did my initial scans and was super nice, quick, and explained everything to me very clearly. The process was easy and painless thanks to her. I went with the Nikon eye scan instead of a dilation because I had to drive after and I'm so glad I did. I waited for a bit while Dr. Phillips finished with his previous patient and looked over my scans and paperwork, then he came out and got me for my exam. He was very thorough and showed me my eye scan. I got a new prescription and he walked me out to the lobby again. Alana helped me pick frames and lenses. She picked out several options for me and I picked the one I liked the most with her support. She was very nice the whole time and took the stress out of the whole process. I put off getting new glasses for 14 years because of the stress and anxiety associated with going to the eye doctor and adjusting to new lenses and frames each time your prescription changes. The people here made the entire process so easy that I am confident I won't have any reservations about keeping up with regular exams again.

I called…read moreto check on my prescription after waiting weeks, and the front desk woman treated me like an absolute loser just for asking. She spoke down to me like a child because she apparently couldn't be bothered to type a few keystrokes into her computer. When my contacts finally came in, I went to pick them up only to be met with a wall of excuses and lies. First, they couldn't find my glasses. Then came the ridiculous stories: claiming weekends don't count as part of the week, and then blaming my insurance company for making them and causing a delay. I've worn glasses since I was a teenager and I have never heard such garbage in my life. I actually had to walk out and go to Bi-Mart just to cool down and keep them from ruining my day. While I was gone, my wife stayed, and wouldn't you know it--they suddenly "found" my glasses. They had just filed them wrong. Mistaking a file is human, but inventing a massive web of imaginary scenarios and insurance lies instead of just being honest is unacceptable. To top it all off, when we got home, I realized they had marked both sets of my contacts as the left eye. Granted, they are trail pair, but still. I refuse to ever set foot in this office again. I would seriously rather wear a 10-year-old prescription than ever give this place another dime of my money. If you enjoy being talked down to and lied to, this is the place for you. Dr. Thompson is awesome, she understood my descriptions of how my eyesight seems to have changed from my last pair of glasses and is very personable and easy to talk to. My new rx is great. My new frames are great. And, there's a 2 year warranty if my lenses get scratched or frames get damaged. One of my dogs recently decided my old glasses were super interesting and delicious. A couple months away from the two year mark of having them, he pulled a sneaky and chewed off one of the ear pieces. They were still under warranty and I was able to get a new pair for free. They are now my back up pair, which is very helpful if you have a hound dog that likes to counter surf, despite all of your best efforts.

Then out of nowhere he also needed Retina care. The Retina doctor did an eye exam. Note: they share the same office. I still had to call and bug them for eyeglasses for my dad. They gave me some false information and my dad was taken to the Eugene office. No, the elderly man in the wheelchair needs an appointment for an eye exam first. Why they couldn't use the one from the Retina doctor? OK, then the eye exam took place. Then they told us that my dad didn't have eye glasses covered on his insurance. Yes, it is. Then we had to make yet another appointment for glasses. That turned into a oh, buy the way your out of pocket is $400.00. NO! I called another optometrist and explained what happened. I wondered if it was possible to find a suitable frame and cut my old lenses down so they would not only fit, but also function better?
