I went in just to get my nose pads upgraded from the hard plastic that come with some frames to softer silicone. The store was pretty busy and only had one associate for a while, but she was never flustered, she remained super calm and polite. When it came my turn, I got an apology for the wait, new pads installed and was charged nothing. Really good vibes, would definitely recommend. Great selection of glasses too! read more

I broke my glasses frame today and was in a panic on what to do because most places are at least a week out for new glasses. I went to a few stores who couldn't help me, but then when I came to eyemart they really tried to help find a frame my lenses would fit into. unfortunately it wasn't possible but they did tell me they had the ability to get me a brand new pair in under an hour! I actually got two with their special and the backup pair was only $10. I am very happy and will be a repeat customer now. read more

The only reason l went ahead and paid the fee to use my own frames was that it took an hour to complete. I try and save money and they penalize me for using my frames. Fantastic service! I was lost, so I was late, but everyone was waiting for me. Paper work out of the way and on to the pretesting,the Puffs, the Blinks and the long distance. I was shown my exam room and the doctor was soon there. The exam was precise, with all my questions answered with a very calm and caring atmosphere. Then, with the friendly help of my asistant we found two pair of lovely fitting glasses. She measure my eye span and took the order for my two pair of eyewear. If you like to do business with very conscientious people, this is a great place to go. I needed a blank lens put in one side of my glasses due to cataract surgery. I got texts that my glasses were ready. Twice, I walked in, waited for someone to acknowledge my existence and was thoroughly ignored by 4 people behind the desk -- for a very long time. I finally asked which desk I should be waiting at, and was told I should be on a list. I don't mind waiting, but the person who was actually helping people, after waiting on 3 different parties, disappeared. I was next on the list. I did hear others being welcomed into the shop - I don't know if I'm just invisible, if they don't like aging women or if they could tell I was no longer there to buy something. I was given no guidance, advice or help in the process of choosing the glasses, unlike other stores. And, finally, I am NOT happy with my glasses, at all. We'll see how that goes.. read more

Excellent service. Tayla was a joy to work with and she quickly got our order for new glasses for my son submitted quickly and the price was almost half of what we would have paid at Vista Optical near our home in Hillsboro. It was worth the 2 hour drive to get quality and inexpensive glasses for my son in an hour or less. I am hoping that Eyemart Express would consider open a location in the Portland metro area. They would definitely have my business. We are already planning to get my wife's next pair of glasses from Eyemart Express, even if we have to drive to Eugene to get them. read more

I chose it for the price but got so much more. The staff was wonderful They were generally busy but helped people as quickly and courteously as possible. I ordered glasses that were supposed to be ready in about an hour but they were ready in 26 minutes. The glasses that had to be sent out came back much quicker than expected too. I called in the morning and got an appointment. I brought in a current prescription and was able to use that so that was great. They were fast and efficient and as I just wanted to try the prescription out, I wanted the least expensive glasses, there was no upsale and I was able to just grab a quick pair to see if the prescription worked for me without spending hundreds of dollars on the glasses. I was in and out quickly and was able to pick up my glasses in a couple of hours. The store was clean and well stocked. I will be back to upgrade my glasses very soon! read more

My experience with Eyemart Express was a very pleasant one. I did have an eye exam (located in Eyemart express) that was at 3 pm and I was eventually seen at 3:48 pm. I wasn't too happy about that but the women and Dr. were very helpful and overall A+ customer service, once I got in there. If anything they need to work on the timing of their customer's exact appointment times. I do recall back in 2015 having to wait that long too. To be honest I really do not care about the wait. But I'm a soldier and use to waiting. But if you are looking for Prompt service as per your appointment. Just expect to wait. Now, as far as the front area to get your frames and glasses. I worked with Chrissy and she was Exceptional!! Her great smile, helpful attitude, and her assistance was more than A+++++. The only constructive criticism I can give is for Chrissy is to wear your ID Name Tag; giggle., so, everyone can be able to express their opinions of your great added asset to this world. My 6 year old left their store happy with her selection and is excited to come back next year to pick out a new pair. Both the optometrist and optician staff were prompt, attentive, knowledgeable and professional. Even though the final price was shocking, I'm convinced I saved money over other services. Progressive lenses are expensive, period, and my insurance pays only a fraction of their cost. Regardless, the store pricing for frames and lenses that is advertised and the final bottom line are conflicting, complex, and confusing. Read the fine print, ask for explanations. I doubt that even the floor staff can explain it. I asked for an invoice before I paid and was given a few quick figures on a post-it. Then after everything was entered into the computer, the COMPUTER decided on a different price, which was less than the estimate. I suggest that the store have a decision-tree chart on the wall listing all the add-ons, their benefits and their costs. read more

I went to Eyemart Express on Coburg for the first time yesterday, and I was completely impressed! I already had my eye exam done at an optometrist through my insurance coverage plan, and decided to check them out. I found 2 pairs of frames that I liked right away in the $19.95 category. I'm on a tight budget, and don't have insurance for eye glasses. I was completely satisfied to receive 2 pairs of glasses with 'extras' (thin lenses, and scratch coverage) for under $160, AND they were ready within the hour! I had to have new lens put into my old frames. They said it would take 2 hours and that they would text me. Well, 4 hours later and they didn't text me. I had to call them and sure enough it was ready and no one texted me. I also spent a lot of money on HD lens and it's not all that great! I won't be going back there again. I had to request a copy of my prescription from this store because my optometrist, Dr Coutant, took my "hard copy" with him when he changed his practices. Eyemart Express was good enough to email me a copy of it when I contacted them. However, my PD (pupillary distance) was not on the Rx. When I went to the shop to ask them to measure it, the lady refused and directed me to Rainbow Optical around the corner - even giving me directions! When I asked why she wouldn't measure it for me even though my optometrist worked there, she mumbled something about "policy". I did go to Rainbow Optical, where Shauna was quite surprised to hear my story and kindly measured my PD for me in about 30 seconds. She questioned the policy because it's not something that needs to be measured by a doctor. What a difference in customer service! read more

Eye Express on Coburg Rd. rocks! I brought in 2 pair of broken glasses, and they had me out the door 15 minutes later with 2 pairs of fixed glasses, free. I didn't even buy them there. I wish I could remember the ladies names that helped me. They were professional, helpful, and quick. I will be going back when it's time for new glasses. I have previously been a customer of eye mart express at a different location. I've always had a good experience. We recently stopped in at this location for my husband to get a spare set of glasses if he's not wearing his contacts. They always seem to have great deals for inexpensive glasses. Researched the web site and saw a killer deal. It was a Friday and they were busy. Long story short there was a misunderstanding of which deal I wanted or sales lady was distracted due to helping another customer. Later explained the misunderstanding to the manager and she corrected it for us. I could tell that it seemed to be a bit of hassle but they were pleasant. The machine broke and no one called me after I told them I was coming to pick up my glasses and took time off work to do so. Then when they were ready they got them wrong. They were cheaper than I was charged and at first would not refund my money. Finally after speaking to a manager she said I would get the refund. .. not sure when but eventually. The first thing the sales associate told me was that the offerings they had at that price were awful and that I would not want these. He showed me what they had at that price and he was correct. Cheap and ugly described the ones available at that price. He tried to sell me on more expensive pairs, but after looking around I left pretty unhappy with my experience. The sale associates aren't knowledgeable about the different frames and colors they come in. They had trouble even giving concrete answers when it came to the ongoing promotions. They were understaffed and had no manager schedule for the entire day. Defiantly the bargain brand experience in this store. My experience at Eyemart was very frustration. Mostly because of the ridiculous wait time that I had to endure. We sat for about an hour to and hour and a half waiting for someone. While waiting, I witnessed an employee named Stephanie gossiping with a customer at the table next to me. They weren't even discussing glasses. So while I was waiting, I had to listen to their conversation, hoping that I would finally get service. I waited for so long until finally someone came and sat with me for about 5 min just to get my address and phone number and have me look into a little machine at a green dot for 10 seconds.
