After seeing what it could look like restored, I knew I didn't want to risk ruining something that old--especially being from the WWII era. I'm so glad I trusted this company with it. They stripped off the paint and completely brought it back to life. The craftsmanship is incredible, and the attention to detail truly shows. Unfortunately, the shipping company they were using at the time managed to do the impossible and lose an entire grandfather clock somewhere between Wisconsin and Kansas. To this day, I have no idea where it ended up, but I never blamed The Harp Gallery for that fiasco. Fast forward to this year: I spotted a magnificent Wooton desk on Facebook, immediately went to The Harp Gallery's website, called the store, and bought it before someone else could beat me to it. This time, Harp handled the delivery themselves, and the entire experience was flawless. Communication was excellent, the desk arrived exactly as described, and the delivery team was outstanding. They were professional, careful, courteous, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was placed exactly where it needed to be. Buying a 19th-century Wooton desk isn't exactly an everyday purchase, but Harp made the process remarkably easy. The desk was fairly priced, the service was exceptional, and the entire transaction reminded me why they've earned such a strong reputation. Very poor workmanship! I took a wooden dresser drawer in and asked to have the front replaced…read morebecause the front top corner had broken off. He told me that since I had the piece that had broken off, he could repair is and you wouldn't even know it had been broken. It would look like new! When I picked up the drawer, I was very disappointed to see the obvious crack where it had been glued together as well as a finger wide dull swipe that ran the length of the crack. Clearly where he wiped off the excess epoxy. I expressed my disappointment after being charged $40.00 for a little bit of epoxy. I could have done a better job myself. No one ever called me back to address my concern. I am now looking for somewhere else to take the drawer to have the front replaced because the "repair" looks terrible. I wish I could post the picture, but see no option for that.

Wednesday morning, some extremely rude man from this shop called my office, accused us of cold call telemarketing and hung up before I even knew who he was. So, I looked up the telephone number and found out it was "Light House Lamp Repair." If that's how they treat potential customers, I certainly won't be giving them any business. I didn't catch they guy's name, but he could stand to learn some manners.
