Very poor customer service. We purchased my engagement ring a few years ago from Kessler's in Appleton. We went back on 2/6/24 to purchase a wedding band. I thought it would be simple 4 princess cut diamonds on band. They said they would call in a few days with the cost. After waiting a week, I called and left a message. No reply. I called again and spoke to a woman that said she would check and call back. Again, no reply. Kesslers has quickly become the least favorite regular errand we have to run to get my ring fixed. From the moment my husband picked out the ring to 5 years later, Kesslers has been difficult to work with and the staff has been a recurring nightmare. 2014 - Engagement ring was purchased at the Germantown location. We originally had to get the my engagement ring resized 2-3 times. The second time we went to get the ring resized, we called ahead to check their hours, drove one hour there only to find a sign on the window communicating they are closed for the day for a team building activity, so we had to come back another time. Being closed on a weekday would have been a nice idea to add to the website and voicemail for when costumers called in. 2015 - After moving from the Milwaukee area up to the Fox Cities, we purchased the matching wedding band to go with the engagement ring. The matching band (although the proper SKU) did not match and needed to be custom made. The team member that originally helped us was extremely rude and criticized the mismatch because we did not order the matching band. Due to the constant shortcomings and poor service, Walter, the manager at the time, took over our account and set up our custom matching band. With the constant hassle, inconvenience, and never getting to see my engagement ring, Walter was going to send us a gift certificate to a restaurant of our choice in the Fox Cities (Four years later and still waiting on that certificate but still dealing with the hassle of Kesslers). 2016 - Diamonds continue to fallout and my ring sits in the shop. 2017 - Surprise, your marriage has lasted longer than your ring!! Enjoy spending another day at the jewelry store to drop off your ring and another day to pick up your ring while your ring gets work done. You may see your ring in a week or so. You didn't really want to wear it anyways. 2018 - "Wow, I love how artsy your ring is with those black diamonds." "Nah, those are just gaps from my Kesslers Diamond ring doing what it does best... falling apart." 2018 visit number 2 - Enjoy regularly having to explain to the team members you bought your ring from Kesslers and having to ask them to double, triple, and quadruple check their computer system if you would like to have your ring fixed. Kesslers employee: "We don't have you on file." Husband: "I purchased it in Germantown." Kesslers employee: "I'm not seeing anything on our end." Husband: "Please check again." Kesslers employee: "Oh, I see it now." 2019 - Engagement ring is officially at the 5 year mark and has been making bimonthly visits to have diamonds replaced. If you believe your marriage has the longevity of a J. Lo style engagement, then I highly recommend picking up your ring from Kesslers but you can find a plethora of failed marriage Kesslers rings on the Facebook marketplace at a fraction of the cost. If your marriage is that of dreams and puppy kisses, there are some fantastic jewelry stores in town with outstanding service!! Our new personal favorite is Avenue Jewelers on College Ave. where they are always extremely kind and helpful while the jewelry stands the test of time. I believe they are worth two stars because they do not charge you for adding in new diamonds as you leave a breadcrumb trail of diamonds wherever you step. read more

We bought a ring last September. I was told it was a ring that could be worn daily (engagement ring). After 1 1/2 months I found it was too bulky to wear under gloves (for work) and looked into exchanging. Couldn't do because of their return policy. I met with a jeweler who looked at it (without the loupes) and said there was NO WAY it was the clarity they claimed it was. I took it to a different jeweler for an insurance appraisal and they wouldn't even appraise it until it was repaired. Five loose stones, one of which was the center stone and the solder where it was sized 'appears to be damaged'. This jeweler didn't know the ring was new. I wore the ring for less than two months! I have sent two e-mails (one to the store manager and one to customer service) and haven't heard back from anyone. They were more than happy to sell me a ring but not so happy to deal with me now that there's a problem. I will not be dealing with them again and will tell everyone I know how they have treated a 'valued customer'. read more

I love Kessler's Diamonds and they are the only jeweler that I have used for my wife's jewelry for the past 10 years. The customer service is top notch. they take the time to know you and are not pushy or ever make you feel that you aren't spending enough (bought my first piece when I was 21 and had much less money to work with). If anything ever were to happen to your jewelry they will fix it at no cost up to and including losing your center stone. The employees have been the same since I started shopping there and to me that says that they treat their people right and take time to invest in their employees. Kessler's Diamonds is the Jewelry store to go to in Appleton, WI. I cannot speak for the other locations but I would expect the experience to be equally great. read more

I am so impressed with the Appleton location. I went to get my ring resized and there was a mix up with the day to pick up. I went yesterday and was told it wasn't until today that it was supposed to be ready. They went and checked and it could have been done by 3 yesterday but I wanted to get back before the storm. As I left the building one of the sales people came out telling me one of the people that workrd there lives in Green Bay and would meet me somewhere to get my ring to me. I am so thankful and appreciative, as I didn't want to drive back today in all of the snow! They went above and beyond the call of duty read more

Jewels. R Dear Mr. Kessler: Recently I stopped into your jeweler located on S. 76th St. in Greenfield. I was looking for a engagement ring for my grandson whom found the love of his life. Now he is only 18 and she is 17 so I didn't want him to be tied down to a large investment at this time because of his age, I know you understand. And I always remember the story you told about when you found your love and went into the jeweler and he looked at your shoes and decided he couldn't help you because of your shoes. So I decided that you're jeweler would be the place for him. Life time guarentee and great choices. However I was wrong. I came into the store and told the lady what I was looking for and why. I told her I didn't want my grandson to have a large payment and to start out small and grow in time. The next lady who came into view asked if she could help and the lady helping me kind of said "no" she only wants to spend X amount of dollars and snickered. I thanked her and left and purchased his ring somewhere else. My grandsons name is Javon Piccione and if you look up his "folder" you can see who helped me. I'm sorry I can't remember the ladies name, but that kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Can't say enough about this place! I brought in a necklace that is incredibly special to our family and even tho it wasn't the most valuable piece of jewelry, Goldsmith Nick treated it like it was his own. He was honest with me up front and let me know he wasn't positive it could be saved because of how thin the chain was, but the patience and technique this goldsmith had were incredible! Where do I begin, the employees at the Appleton store have very poor customer service. They have nice quality diamonds, rings and related items. However it is almost like they do not want to sell them due to their poor attitude and motivation when they are interacting with the customers. I could give you five examples of the poor customer service I experienced, let's just say I will not go back there. And I know it is the employees in the store, because I went to another Kesslers store on 76th street in Greenfield and boy what a difference with regards to customer experience. My daughter took my rings to Kesslers in summer of 2013 to have them all cleaned and inspected. I was not wearing some of them since there were a couple little stones missing. My husband paid probably $1000 to have the little stones replaced in the rings and get them all taken care of.. Kesslers said my "head" was bad on my engagement/wedding ring so we had a new "head" put on. I have had my ring for 30+ years and know I have banged it on many, many things over the years. Well, I went to work one day in December 2013 and got there in the morning and realized the center stone was missing out of my ring. I couldn't believe it. I had my ring for 30+ years and now Kesslers replaced the head and within 6 months, the center diamond was missing. Wow, crazy. I immediately went to Kesslers after I got done with work. The man indicated that I had banged my ring on something, which is why this happened. I explained that I have had the ring for 30+ years and have banged if many, many times and this NEVER happened before. If this happened now and I banged it on something that hard, I should've realized it. I was so upset. They didn't offer me anything at all. He gave me the card of someone to email. I did email and he replied with the same thing, however, he also said they couldn't be in the repair business if they warranteed these things forever. I said I wasn't asking for forever, just 6 months. They didn't even offer my anything, not even a discount on a new diamond, a new head, etc. NOTHING! I emailed him back and no reply. A very similar thing happened to my sister 2 years ago, however, she had taken her ring to Kriegers. She brought it back there and they gave her a new head, and a new diamond. Her ring was not purchased at Kriegers, however, they stood by their work. Very strange that similar instances happened to use, but maybe these repairs need to be checked better when completed. This was such an emotional experience. I still haven't even checked into getting my diamond replaced - just haven't been able to wear my ring. Beware. I also will tell my 4 daughters, my son, all my sisters, nieces, nephers, co-workers, etc. of this and to beware of the service.. read more
