Now that I have…read morereceived the care I needed from a more caring doctor, I feel it is important to share my experience with Dr. Youn so others can make an informed decision before seeing him. I scheduled my visit to discuss complications following a surgery in another state. Upon meeting Dr. Youn and telling him about this issue, I had my medical records in hand, which he refused to review. When I asked questions about how I can rectify my issue, he claimed he couldn't provide answers because he didn't know my medical history. If a doctor doesn't take the time to review records when offered, how can they provide adequate care? Beyond the lack of professionalism, his bedside manner was shockingly cold. I was met with dismissiveness and impatience, as if my concerns were an inconvenience. The entire interaction was incredibly rushed, with Dr. Youn giving a quick exam and giving little answers, seeming eager to leave the room before I even had time to ask questions and get dressed. Adding to the frustration, there was no patient portal or direct way to communicate with the doctor outside of limited phone hours, which is highly unusual for a medical practice. It's possible that this has changed over the past few years. Shortly after posting my review on Yelp and writing a letter to Dr. Youn, I received a call from him. He did not apologize for his behavior, but he did spend thirty minutes speaking with me. He asked me to read some information to him from my medical history (something he refused to review when I saw him in person), and he gave some insight. I found it convenient for him that he gave me the care I needed after sending him a contentious letter and publishing a public review, rather than providing the care I needed when seeing him for an appointment. So why am I deciding to publish this review now? Accountability is important. Seeing that others have had similar experiences, it is clear that Dr. Youn's aloof behavior has not gone unnoticed. I encourage him to make a significant adjustment.

Half an hour was counted after he sent me a pls pick me up text. He sent it after Dr. Youn's review, changing clothes, etc. I hope people in the clinic know waiting is not just waiting. I was thinking bad result and failed procedure (happens I hear). It's like I love my Dr, but I don't appreciate her calling me directly after running my tests. I now have a second thought after this experience and bad Yelp reviews, knowing there are other good Drs. FYI~~~ There were all kinds of refreshments in the waiting room (not for patients I assume), and I tried to indulge myself with H2O, ended up with carbonated kind. I recently had difficulty getting the medication I have been taking for years. I found a compounding pharmacy that would prepare a workalike RX, but the dosing was different. I explained this complicated scenario to Marie and she said she would call the compounding pharmacy and hammer out the details. 30 minutes later Marie called me and said it was all handled and that the compounding pharmacy would be calling me shortly. I am writing to inform others of my experience that I had with Dr.David King for my vasectomy…read moreprocedure on June 19, 2026. During the procedure, I believe that Dr.King did not administer enough anesthesia or did not wait long enough for the anesthesia to take into full effect. Dr.King started the procedure on my left side and I had told him that I was still feeling a sharp nerve pain that spread throughout the region whenever it was triggered. Dr.King proceeded with the procedure even though I was constantly making ingressive sounds and vocalizing that I was still in pain throughout the operation. After around 15 minutes of torture I really thought I was going to faint from the pain. Luckily at this point, Dr.King administered more anesthesia and left the room to let the next dose of anesthesia take into effect. The procedure continued onto my right side and I only felt slight pain towards the end on my right side. After the procedure I was still trembling and wobbly from the psychological and physical torture I endured. They originally said I could drive after the procedure but I was in no condition to drive. My wife drove me home instead. The recovery period was even worse because of the trauma of the procedure. I believe because of the pain I suffered, my body would overreact to any pain in that region. During the first 3 weeks of recovery, any slight movements or adjustments to my body wound would sometimes cause a sharp papercut feeling that would stop me in my tracks and bring me to my knees. I could not walk normally and had the hardest time getting up from a sitting or sleeping position. My body was completely stiff when I went to sleep because of the constant fear of that pain. I would wake up with aches because of being immobile the whole night. I was not able to sleep on my side due to the pain. I called Dr.King regarding my terrible recovery and he recommended doing hot compresses which I have done but it did not ease my pain at all. Only after 7 weeks of recovery was I able to lean on my side and not feel any pain when sleeping. It has been 8 weeks since the surgery and my body is still recovering from the incident. The papercut feeling has now subsided into a tugging pain instead at times. My body has learned and acclimated to bad postures during this ordeal to avoid pain and I will have to do PT and other exercises to revert back to the lifestyle that I once had.  In summary, I believe all my pain and suffering could have been avoided if Dr.King had anesthetized me properly. I've had my wisdom teeth extracted with local anesthesia only to know what I felt was completely wrong. A very common procedure has ruined my quality of life dramatically and has caused long term effects to my lifestyle. I am writing this in hopes that these problems will be remedied and any future patients will not have to go through the same ordeal I have gone through. These past weeks have definitely been the worst weeks of my life and I would have never done this procedure if I knew that I would be mistreated this poorly.

In the spring of 2025, my husband, Jamie, needed to have his gallbladder removed after experiencing persistent problems and inflammation. His surgery was initially scheduled for about a month later, but when his symptoms continued to worsen, we contacted Dr. Nguyen. After discussing what Jamie was experiencing, we decided it was best not to wait--and it was a good thing we didn't. Dr. Nguyen performed the surgery the very next day at Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Nguyen is not only an expert in his field, but he also has an exceptional bedside manner. He was attentive, reassuring, and continued to follow up after the procedure. Jamie recovered wonderfully. Fast-forward to September 2026, when Jamie developed severe abdominal pain and went to the emergency room at El Camino Hospital. Testing revealed appendicitis, and we were so relieved to discover that Dr. Nguyen was there and would once again be performing his surgery. Jamie has endured several serious health challenges over the past few years, including vestibular migraines and open-heart surgery at Stanford for an aortic aneurysm, which required part of his aorta to be replaced. Needless to say, he has been through a lot. Seeing Dr. Nguyen immediately lifted his spirits because he knew he would literally be in the best hands. Jamie is currently recovering in the hospital, where he is being monitored because of his medical history, but the surgery went extremely well, and we are confident he will have another smooth recovery. We are deeply grateful for Dr. Nguyen's expertise, compassion, attentiveness, and genuine care for his patients. He takes the time necessary to help ensure the best possible outcome and makes both the patient and their family feel comfortable and supported. His staff are super nice and very responsive. The waiting room very comfortable and stylish at the same time. "Now for the good part" I came in for what I suspected was a recurrence of a hernia. After consulting with Dr. Wynn and him checking me out; he was not confident that a hernia was my problem so he ordered a CAT scan with contrast. "Because of my past procedures" After getting the results back he informed me that I did not have a hernia and that the cause most likely is from scar tissue. Dr. Seufert and his nurse, Yohida (sp?) were so…read moreprofessional yet friendly and take away all the fear of having a cystoscopy (on a female patient). Everything was explained clearly before it was done and there was absolutely no pain or discomfort. The lidocaine gel numbed the area beforehand where probe was inserted. I cannot emphasize enough that Doctor takes time to explain and is a good listener too! A few weeks back I had the opposite experience with another Urologist at the same Mtn. View location who dismissed the problem I had, arguing that it didn't exist and it was probably only a UTI. I left that appmt feeling despondent and told my Primary care, who took me seriously and made an immediate referral to Dr. Seufert. If you are looking for someone who is friendly, professional and diligent to find whatever problem you have, he will dig (pardon the pun) deep enough and you will know with certainty what your diagnosis is. He is already referring me for further assessment for an MRI. I was seen due to Red blood cells in my urine lab tests several times, which are not a UTI. The prep time for a cystoscopy and all the questions from the nurse take about 15 mins. but the actual procedure took maybe 5 mins., during which time Dr. Seifert tells you what he is seeing on the monitor. My test involved looking up urethra into the bladder. My close friend who is also my caregiver was able to sit in during the procedure and watch everything on the monitor, which was not visible to me since it was above my head. Since you are covered with sheets, etc. you will still have modesty. Dr. Seufert has excellent bedside manner, and guaranteed to put you at ease! The photo of him on here does not do him justice, he is better looking than the photo!
