First off, anyone who appreciates a good cigar can appreciate Tinder Box. Secondly, staff can make or break the experience. I'm one of those people who don't like to be bum rushed when I walk in. I'm not anti-social but I'm only browsing to see what I can "find", I'm in no mood to conversate about my likes and dislikes. I appreciate the thought of "helping the customer find what they need" or engaging in potential sale to a product you like and not the customer. Now bear in mind this Tinder Box greeted me, asked if they could help. I politely said I'm browsing and if I have questions I would ask. They then let me search, and after I had a collection in my hand, a staff member brought me a tray for easier carrying. The fact the let me search yet still paid attention was great. The selection was awesome, I found a few I've heard about and wanted to try but haven't found any in the wild yet. Tinder Box has a lounge entirely separated from the humidor area which is nice, so customers on either side aren't interrupted by each other. Prices are fair. Ken and Chris, the owners, are VERY friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Their lounge is a great place to go with a group, or show up solo and make a few friends. The Dublin Tinderbox location is adequate, although not the best shop in town, by far. Unfortunately today there were so many people smoking inside that my eyes literally burned and I left smelling like a wet cigar--after only an in-n-out stop of a couple minutes. Absolutely disgusting in there today (St. Patrick's 2018)! GAG. Please, PLEASE work on your exhaust fan situation. read more

Having very little experience with smoking I wandered in knowing nothing but that I enjoy the occasional smoke. After a few minutes of perusing, Mike popped by to see what he could help with. We were in town from Florida to pick up our daughter from The Ohio State University. When I called to ask about the hours and lounge availability the customer service and genuine desire for us to enjoy a cigar were evident. When we walked in the service and selection were amazing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the recommendations were phenomenal. The lounge was incredible as were the friendly patrons who right away welcomed us and even offered to share their high-end bourbon. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back. read more

I went in tonight with 2 of my college buddies to pick up cigars because it was a nice night. We browsed for a while (we aren't cigar experts). One of my friends smelled a cigar and was yelled at by one of the employees. Because of the rudeness in his voice, we decided to put the cigars we had picked out back and leave, upon leaving the employee ran to the door and began to yell at us and tell us never to come back. We silently left, I don't really care about the incident, I'm just annoyed that we were looked down upon because of our age. They would've gotten at least $60-$100 in sales from us, but that's their loss. read more
