Even though it's a long drive for me, I've continued shopping here because it's the place I've always gone. From my very first visit, I was encouraged to sign up for the loyalty rewards program, so I did. Sunday I placed an online pickup order. The website/app gave me the option to redeem my loyalty points, and it processed them into store credit. I noticed the total looked a little strange but assumed it was just a glitch. My order actually showed to be 1.00. I figured this was wrong. I was planning to use my rewards toward a $45 non-THC product. When I arrived, I was told I couldn't use my loyalty points because I hadn't reached a minimum of 7,500 points. This was the first time I had ever heard about a minimum redemption requirement. At no point when I signed up, earned points, or redeemed them through the app was this requirement disclosed. In fact, the app allowed me to convert my points into credit, making it appear that they were available to use. The employee was not polite about it at all and told me I couldn't use the credit. The frustrating part isn't that there are rules--it's that the loyalty program wasn't transparent about them. If there's a 7,500-point minimum, it should be clearly stated before customers redeem their points or make purchasing decisions based on the rewards they've earned. A loyalty program should reward loyal customers, not leave them feeling misled. After spending nearly $1,000 in just a couple of months and making the drive to shop here consistently, this experience has made me question whether my loyalty was actually valued. So for such great customer service I will look elsewhere for a dispensary. I just wanted my 45 dollars I had earned in points.

Big banner on the front since they just opened. Access from the service road by Lowe's. Came on the principle of "get it while you can." Who knows what happens next month? Walking in, it's the more-secure kind of dispensary, with a check-in and waiting area out front. Not my favorite style. Perhaps because they do both personal and medical supplies? Anyway, the staff were super friendly and check-in was easy and fast. Inside, there is a counter on one wall and a big open space with a few displays. Some specials since they're new, and they gave me a "free" vape pen and charger with my purchase. Their own brand, but handy. Large selection of items to choose from, not all on display, and the staff know the products well. They'll talk to you about what you want, and suggest options. Prices seem a little high but I am not an expert. (I'm old school, all this tech and multiple options are bizarre to me.) Exit is on the opposite side of the entrance, you come out near the tire place next door, so maybe park over that way rather than on the south side. They are friendly and smiley when everything is going smoothly, but the second you have a concern about your order, a question, or a legitimate complaint, the attitude changes completely. Instead of listening and trying to resolve the issue professionally, they become defensive, dismissive, and make you feel like you're bothering them. Then there is something else I personally find extremely concerning. I have personally witnessed multiple employees whom I believed were using drugs while on their breaks. I have seen this more than once while sitting in the drive-thru. Employees at this location commonly park near the drive-thru area, and from where customers are sitting, their vehicles are visible. I personally witnessed behavior that appeared to me to be drug use while they were on their breaks. I'm not saying this because I heard a rumor. I'm saying it because I personally witnessed what I believed was drug use on multiple occasions. Whatever employees choose to do in their private lives is their business, but allegedly using drugs while on a work break at a dispensary is an entirely different matter. If employees are engaging in that kind of behavior while working, management should seriously consider whether workplace drug testing and stronger oversight are necessary. It also makes the way some employees react to customers even more concerning. When you bring up a legitimate concern, some of them become unnecessarily angry, defensive, and hostile instead of simply addressing the issue. I can't claim to know why they react that way, but after witnessing what I personally witnessed, I can understand why a customer might question whether employees are making appropriate decisions while at work. Located on the busy corner of High St. and 5th Ave., this smoke shop is currently off the beaten path due to construction, but provides nothing short of helpful, attentive service. Street parking doesn't exist in this area of the Short North right now, but here in a few months it should be available again. Until then, there's a small parking lot across the street, right next to BrewDog. I made the quick trek across the street, dodging construction workers and makeshift ramps to be greeted immediately. At a quick glance, I noticed they had what I needed but I browsed around for a minute too. They really offer everything you need if you're a smoker of any kind. From large glass bongs to vape pens and everything in between (yes, there's a lot in between), they've got it. Their prices are on par with what I've seen at other similar establishments too.
