I installed my Stereo - and for over a year was extremely happy with the results. I am a handy guy and do a lot of computer and electrical troubleshooting. But when it suddenly stopped - like everything except the sub woofer - it looked like the amp was blown. But a new Amp - and the same results told me I was in trouble. The friendly folks at Tint and Sound customizing took me right in and in 15 minutes found the very faulty ground (corroded) that was good enough to let everything power on and look normal. Got no problem paying money for good product and service. This was NOT the case with this place. Decided to have some headlight tinting done through a referral from a friend. Upon entrance, the guy at the front desk had the "my life sucks, what do you want customer? Leave me alone. Omg I want to go home, mad at the world" facial expression. Lol That's just the beginning, told him I had a appointment. He nodded his head, ask for my key and told me to sit and wait. Upon completion, I had noticed the tint had bubbles and wrinkles in it. No way this is normal right? Well, the technician told me otherwise. Said in a few days in the sunlight, the bubbles and wrinkles should dissipate. Well that was a flat out lie! It's been 5 days and no change. Lied straight to a paying customer. Also scraped the underneath of my front when parking it (lowered car), didn't even apologize. T&S installed 3M tint in my vehicle ~3 years ago. I waited a while to write the review to allow time to see how the tint held up. No problems at all. Holding up great! As all tints do it got slightly lighter in the first year but has held that tint level since. The guy in the store asked me the preferred tint level and installed a slightly darker tint knowing it would fade to the level I wanted. I also had an amp and a sub installed. They worked hard to find a small enough enclosure that would fit under my seat and hold a 10" sub. The first one broke within a 2-3 weeks, they had a new one ordered with 2 days. I have had many of my vehicles customized and tinted at Tint & Sound over the years. I'm surprised by some of these negative reviews - I have always had great experiences. My truck was tinted the first week I bought it. I have had a number of other vehicles tinted there too. I have had customization work done as well - including remote start which is a life saver during the cold winters or hot summers. I use the DIRECTED remote start with cellular which allows me to remote start, lock/unlock - all from my iPhone app. I recommend T&S highly to my friends & family. read more

I've brought my 3 SUVs here for tinting over the past 2 years. The last time they tinted my vehicle they forgot to tint my sunroof, but they were able to fit me in the next business day. I have never experienced any issues with booking. Tint cost has gone up a little since then, but is still comparable to other vendors. The worst part is waiting however, good work = long waiting periods. I have not hesitated to recommended this place to colleagues. read more

Took my dashcam over here to get professionally installed. Was a little nervous at first because it didn't seem like they had done dashcam installs before. They scheduled a pre-install meeting to look at the devices to make sure they were comfortable doing the install +1. It was during that meeting that it came out I was missing a piece of hardware needed to complete the install the way I wanted it +2. The part came in and the install was scheduled. The morning of the install we went over everything again to ensure all of my expectations would be met +3. A couple of hours later everything was done and I was driving off using my new cameras. After a few days of checking everything out I am completely satisfied with the work they did +4. Price was reasonable considering I brought in "customer supplied parts" and didn't buy any hardware from them. Overall a "Would Recommend" on my rating scale. read more

awful awful place, I went in to get my windows tinted and didn't know how dark I wanted my windows so I said what ever is legal. the guy pointed over to 2 cars and said that they were 35% and I said ok because the windows were VERY dark. I waited for 2 hours and go out to look at my car and it barely looked like it was tinted at all. I drive home and find a HUGE scratch on the side of my car that wasn't there before I drove over. he said he would charge me 200 but it somehow tuned out to be 220 before tax. poor service, damaged car, over priced. steer clear of this awful business read more

Just had my windows tinted at Tint and Sound in Frederick. I walked in without an appointment and they were happy to fit me in. I've been going to T&S for a number of years and they have done a great job on the many services I've needed, from tints to a remote start installation. I even took my motorhome to have some custom work done and they did an amazing job. Also had them complete some custom work on my car in preparation to tow it behind my motorhome. I couldn't find anyone in Frederick willing to even look at it to see if they could do it. Called T&S and they nailed it! Not an easy job, but they were able to complete it easily and flawlessly. Went there today to get a new sunstrip because I had my windshield replaced. While I was there they asked if I would mind them replacing the driver side tint because they didn't like the cut. Only a true professional would take notice to something like that. They replaced the tint and gave me a new sunstrip...I was in and out in about an hour! Great service! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Old reviews should have expiration dates! I have had two soon to be three cars tinted with T&S. We purchased the top of the line packages and were quite impressed with the work completed. The staff has ALWAYS been friendly and willing to help with anything including a headlight issue we had. They we were willing to diagnose our headlight on a busy day even when we simply had an appointment for tint. WHO DOES THAT?! NO ONE! Most places make you make another appointment and send you on your merry way. T&S didn't. They stayed past closing time just to help us without any issue or complaint. The first car we had tinted, we sold 2+ years later and we were complemented on the quality of the tint by our buyer. Our second tint job is going on almost 2 years which had to be matched to the back windows and is still going strong. No bubbles, chipping, peeling, NOTHING mentioned in previous reviews. We now have another vehicle in need of tint and who do you think we are calling? In 5+ years we have not trusted our cars with anyone else and don't intend to! read more

T & S is by far the best customizing shop in Frederick. I have been a customer of theirs since 1998 and have never been disappointed with their work. The owner is very educated, honest and always has time to explain things to his customers. All of the staff is polite, friendly and provide a high level of customer service. So, originally scheduled windows being tinted on my Subaru Crosstrek a week ahead of time and advised them that I would be able to drop it off. 1 day later, I called them back and advised that I would have to sit and wait due to not having a ride. They called me a day before the appointment and asked if I was still going to drop it off and be back later. I gave them the same answer that I have to sit and wait. Arrived at the place at 8:00 AM, and they asked, again, if I was dropping it off. Gave same answer as last time. They advised that there is 2 people ahead of me, and that it should only be 45 minutes before they take my car in. Another customer came in and didn't even make an appointment, and they took him in for window tinting before me. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!! Finally my car goes in at 11:00 AM and done at 1:00 PM. I waited for 5 hours for a 2 1/2 job, because they can't get their communication skills right, and can't understand that I said I would be sitting and staying, 3 TIMES!!!! The only reason they're getting 1 star instead of 0, if it was possible, is they gave me a break on the bill cause of the wait time,.Also, the tinting looked really nice. However, their customer service and communication skills need ALOT OF WORK. I would not recommend this place, unless you want to wait in a store all day and have people cut ahead of your SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT!! read more
