I had my two front windows tinted here at 35% which is MD state law. The display in their lobby was…read morelabeled "legal". I said I want it legal. Even my receipt said 35%. This means it should test at 35%. They are supposed to account for the tint in the factory windows. When I got my car inspected my tint was 31%. This caused my car to fail inspection. So I went back and all they would do is take it off. They would not replace their product with the correct tint and fix their mistake. Now I have to pay again to have my windows tinted correctly. This is simply my honest experience. I do not recommend. They respond to all complaints in a very defensive and condescending manner. They aim to discredit the customer when they have made a mistake. They have a history of not being honorable when anyone complains. Response- Why on earth would I make this up or lie? I never said you were being deceitful. You guys simply made a mistake which you are unable to admit to. You jump to a defensive posture and make false allegations against me. You resort to insults. At no point was I insulting towards you, but you can't help but react emotionally. Being in business for 28 years does not make you immune to mistakes. I'm not going to call you as you suggested. You had an opportunity to do the right thing but chose not to. So now I'm going to share my honest experience which is my right as a consumer.

Since we both needed our cars done, we had a pretty limited budget. To save some money, my husband removed my tint. He is definitely an amateur when doing it so he left some glue reside on the windows. (Mainly on the rear windshield because he didn't want to screw up the defrost lines.) Upon seeing my car, Mohammed was pretty rude about everything. Telling me that my husband did an awful job and he messed up my windows and that he was going to have to charge me more than a hundred dollars to remove it. He also stated that it was going to be a stressful job and he couldn't guarantee the work. That statement alone made me question his confidence in his work... I ended up leaving because I didn't want to deal with his attitude while standing outside with my 4 month old son. I called another company, they gave me suggestions on how to get the residue off, rubbing alcohol and a non-scratch sponge, worked great and it only took ten minutes. I ended up paying more for my tint but in the end I'm definitely glad I did because who knows what kind of job I would have gotten from Mohammed.

I actually almost went with Insta Tints because of their flexibility, but I thought using this Groupon would save me some money. In the end, I ended up paying practically the same price due to their hidden costs! When I arrived, they hit me with $35.47 in unexpected extra charges ($20 for 'quarter windows' and an outrageous $15.47 'shop supplies' fee). When I questioned these extra fees, the receptionist (Leah) looked back at the owner and made a nasty face behind my back, mocking me for simply asking about the price, before turning back to me with a fake professional attitude. To make matters worse, there was a tiny bit of leftover tint glue on one window. I had already spent hours cleaning the vast majority of it myself. Instead of showing any professional courtesy, the installer (Freddy) became extremely arrogant and demanded an extra $70 just to wipe it. When I declined, he literally told me: 'You don't want to pay for a professional service, so it's going to look like this.' They intentionally applied the new tint right over the residue, leaving permanent marks, and then even typed a petty note on my invoice to void my warranty. Avoid Hot Tint Speed & Sound at all costs."
