Called Vinny yesterday and set up an appointment for today at 2pm. He has a flat fee of $160 for all cars - CASH ONLY! I got there early and called him to let him know that I pulled in - I caught him during his lunch break, but he was there within 15 minutes. When you pull up, Vinny's shop is linked to a car wash, so you just drive in and say you have an appointment for tints. Vinny came in and complimented me immediately. Classy guy! He asked if I knew what kind of tints I wanted. I wanted 35 all around and wanted to go dark in the rear window. Being my first car, Vinny recommended that I go 20 in the rear. We agreed and he told me to wait in the waiting room and if I was to head out to be back in about an hour and a half. About and hour and 15 minutes later, I returned from a Colombian/Peruvian restaurant up the block and waited in the waiting room for about 5 minutes and then I saw it...my baby...my car pulling out, fully tinted as we described. He took a walk sround the car to make sure everything was up to par. We then went into the waiting room and I gave him the flat fee plus an extra 20 for the service and gratuity. He's a great guy with a positive attitude and is extremely cooperative and willing to work with you. People like him make this world a better place and I will be referring my friends to him as well! read more

A friend had recommended to get my windows tinted by Vinny so I had requested a quote through yelp and Vinny replied within less than an hour. Great response time for all inquiries! I called the morning of and gave Vinny an estimated time, which he was okay with. The garage is relatively easy to find, it is a shared space with a car wash garage but you can't miss the sign. I drove in and met with Vinny, who showed me both the 20% and 35% tint. He was knowledgeable on the percentages on the factory car models. He estimated about an hour to have all 5 windows done (Subaru Forester). I was waiting in the waiting area for about 40-45 mins and Vinny comes in to tell me my car is done. Impeccable time! Found him on Yelp. Spoke to him on the phone and I brought my 1990(old) white station wagon in that afternoon. Vinny remembered our brief chat, smiled and immediately and patiently showed me the options I had to tint my windows. He and his staff got to work right away and and within 1.5-2hrs all was done perfectly. He even took the time to reinspect the work after I had my car washed right next door. I drove over an hour to get there. It was worth it. If something happens, I am confident he will fix it. I am definitely recommending him to others. Thank you. UPDATE: So it turns out that there were a couple of flaw to the original work Vinny and his team performed. But given the task it wasn't a big surprise, and I reached out to Vinny right away. He welcomed me back to his shop a few days later and "voila!", they got to work and within an hour they redid a couple of the windows to correct the flaws right away. And now all windows look great! I went to Vinny last week, literally last minute, and he took me. He made sure to match the new the tints to the ones on the back windows that came with my new Cherokee truck. Appointment confirmation today for 10:00AM for 11/21/20 for tints. I arrived at 9:50 and Vin was not there. One of the co-worker told me to call him and i did multiple times and no answer. I waited at the shop until 10:45. The hours at the shop opens at 10AM but the owner was no where to he found. I was recommended to this place by a good friend of mine who had previously got his tints done here, but I am clearly disappointed. The appointment was made through Tint By Vinny Facebook page. I would not recommend this place unless you want to wait for hours. As I was leaving, multiple cars showed up and left as well do the inconsistent time management. This dude is trash. I bought in my BMW 525 XI this guy messed up my far. He said he put some vinyl on my trunk. Come to find out it was his first time doing it. They were located on woodhaven at the time. The only reason why I am doing this review about 3 years after is because I sold the vehicle. The Trunk had razor marks all over it thanks to Vinny. I was going to another business that provided window tinting until I found Tint by Vinny. I called a couple of times and was told to come in. Upon arriving, I met the testosterone induced crew of Tint by Vinny. Vinny introduced himself, showed me the palettes of tinting options said he would take an hour and to help myself to the waiting room or the local stores. I decided on 35% all around. When I first got out of my car, I was a little nervous, being so that I didn't have the time to wash my car (I wash my car myself) since it was sitting under a very sappy tree for the last 15 hours while I worked and then drove to Vinny immediately after. I know the process of tint application and my nervousness came from not only my very dirty car, but also the stickiness and darkness of the tinting portion of his shop and with that came the paranoia of dust, debris and later bubbling. While helping myself to the waiting room, I could immediately tell that it was a mans cave by the vintage and manly leather sofas to the unswept floors and the tv channel of choice. Honestly, it didn't take more than 40 mins tops to finish the tinting application. As soon as I got home, I washed my car and let the tints bake in the sweltering NYC sunlight. It's been two days now and the tints are perfect and clean, no bubbling or debris as I originally was nervous about. The trim lines are also pristine. Only reason I gave a four star is because I noticed a 1 inch scratch on my drivers door right near the window frame. I'm pretty anal with my vehicle and didn't notice that scratch two days before the tinting application when I washed and detailed my car. I would definitely recommend Tint by Vinny. read more

Planned on having my windows tinted by another company but the wait was too long. Fortunately, I came across Vinny here on Yelp and was happy that I did. I called him the same morning and asked if he could fit me in, to which he told me to come on down. He immediately took my car in and said about 90min it should be ready. There's a little waiting room there with a TV, but I opted to take the bus and go to Liberty Ave where there were a bunch of shops and restaurants (only about a 5min bus ride). I came back a little earlier and behold, my car was done after an hour. The tint job appears to be done perfectly and it was cheaper than the other place. I came to Vinny 2 years ago to tint my TL's windows and he did a great job. 2 years later, I sold that car, got a new one & had to come back to Vinny. He's very professional; I called about 2 hours before I came in (pretty last minute) and he said it's no problem. He did the job himself and it came out great except for one scratch that I noticed wasn't there before. I pointed this out to him, and he took it right back in the shop and fixed it right away. Another guy would've probably told me to just wait it out and that it'll "fix itself." Not Vinny though, he stands by his service which is excellent.
