I prepaid for window Tinting using my Tesla App, it was $2192.00 for the full Tesla Y. I was assigned to Tinting World in Agoura Hills, I wasn't able to go with my husband but was told it would take 3.5 hours as my husband was going to wait, since I was at home unable to drive. He arrived at 9:40 am so you would think even if it took a bit longer at the latest 2:30??? Seems reasonable.............Update: we waited a week as there were bubbles and flaws in the tint on several locations, they told my husband not to worry, it would take time to settle onto the glass. Well, it didn't and it looks pretty bad, I received an email from Xpel, the company that I purchased the tinting through on the Tesla App, When I submitted my concerns to them and the photos they reached out right away, they refunded my $ and are now trying to locate someone to remove the tint and reinstall it, but so far have been unsuccessful. I now know this was never a 3.5 hour job and what they told me was incorrect. However, Tint World didn't rush the job, they had the car from 9:40 am until a bit after 5:00 pm and it still came out really bad. read more

Here is my honest review for the Tint World in Agoura Hills. Called them and got appointment the next day. New place just opened up. My wife dropped the car and couple hours later went to pick it up. When the car was done I noticed the missing cover over one of the sensors on the windshield. Also noticed that it wiggles really easily and it was clear they removed it to put the film behind the sensor. Take them and the manager called the technician to take a look. They found the cover, put it back and said it's "done". I wiggled the sensor and it came right off. I asked why did they remove the sensor and they couldn't explain. At this point I was very concerned about the situation. The sensor was glued to the glass from the factory and it was now tempered with. I called the Toyota service center, explained them the situation and they said that calibration alone could cost $600 or more. I became very very concerned about this whole situation. I confronted the manager about them taking responsibility for this and they said they can glue the sensor back. Further talks went nowhere. I said that this sensor could be a part of the safety system of the car and requires precise calibration, for what the technician said that they have all necessary equipment to do this in house. It was hard to believe. Anyways, after the car came back, the sensor was glued solid and they said it's "done" again. I noticed glue residue around where they were gluing the sensor. I talk the manager about this, he had to call the technician again and after that they said they need to redo the file on the glass some other time. I was out of town for the next week. I made new appointment and they redid the film. Now, I live with the worry that the sensor can stop working at any moment and who knows what consequences that may have in terms of safety. Would not recommend this place. I did not have good experience. Quality of the work is horrible and I wasted a lot of my time with long lasting consequences to my piece of mind and the car. read more
