Beware they do NOT honor the Lifetime warranty on tint. I got my windows tinted in 2015 and my back window is bubbling bad NO where on the receipt says 3 year warranty it says Lifetime warranty on BUBBLING they want to charge me and said it is a 3 year warranty unreal UPDATE they called and replacing the damaged tint. Been doing business here forever. Multiple cars tinted and detail. Called to get my aunts car tinted. Ceramic starting at $395. I show up and who I'm positive was Johnny from my previous experiences and he quoted me $695. Seriously? He wanted to then negotiate and I thought why??! He then said show it to me in writing! I said I was told this when I made my appointment yesterday. Very disappointed. Again I've been going here for over 20yrs. Not any more. I have used this place in the past , only for window tinting . The manager has a horrendous attitude and is always angry. Try to avoid him and have one of the ladies help you. Work has always been satisfactory, and prices are reasonable .. many film options and degrees . In previous reviews, there are many complaints from Tesla owners. Should of read the reviews. Had my model x side windows tinted here. Inside the corner of both windows had cut nics and damage on the edge. This is a new car and now its damaged bc of the carelessness of them. They just refunded me and now I have 1,200 in damage. After two weeks I still have bubbles in the tint. BUYER BEWARE. CONEJO AUTO DETAIL DOES NOT HONOR THEIR LIFETIME WARRANTY. I had my windows tinted here in 2013 with the understanding that there is a lifetime warranty against peeling and bubbling. I just took my car in to have my rear window re-tinted because it is bubbling and pealing, and I was expecting a seamless transaction for the warranty repair as stated on my original invoice. However, the employee examining my windows, Johnny, told me I will have to pay for the cost of parts, and that only the labor is covered under warranty. Nowhere on my original invoice does it say anything about customers being responsible for expenses related to warranty repairs; it only mentions a "lifetime warranty against peeling, cracking and bubbling." After going back and forth explaining to Johnny that if a customer purchases a product or service under a lifetime warranty without any indication that they would be responsible for any of its expenses, they should in no way have to pay out of pocket, he was firm in not honoring the warranty which is clearly stated on my invoice. Johnny also showed me unwarranted hostility in the following ways: -refused to give me the name and contact info of his supervisor after I asked multiple times. Told me he was the manager for today. -told me to "not use his name for anything bad," when I asked for Johnny's name for reference. -after I told him "it's not a good look for your business at all when you advertise a lifetime warranty and don't honor it," he told me something along the lines of "I never told you that. Don't put words in my mouth, you don't want to do that." The tone and body language of this interaction seemed as though he was threatening me. -received a call from Johnny about an hour later asking me why I didn't come for a warranty repair earlier, since, in his opinion, the amount of bubbling and peeling on my window shows that it's been happening for 3-5 years. I literally only noticed bubbling within the last few months, and pealing within the last few weeks. I don't even know why that would be relevant given that the tint is under LIFETIME warranty. Conejo Auto Detail, you should be very concerned that this person is your first point-of-contact with your customers. I am currently in the process of trying to contact 3M, who supplies the film for window tints for Conejo Auto Detail (as recommended by Johnny) in order to see if they will cover the cost of parts. The fact that they are making customers jump through all of these hoops and experience hostile customer service in order to honor a warranty is completely unacceptable. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB if this issue is not resolved within a reasonable timeframe. read more

I had my windows tinted December of 2019 at this business. I needed to have the rear back windows redone because the piece needed to be installed to avoid scratches was not installed. They did not inform me that this would be a reoccurring issue prior to selling me on the tint job. They say the work is guaranteed, but when i saw bubbles in the front glass, they advised me to repair the small chip (no where near the bubbles) before they would replace it. Once i got the windshield replaced, brought it back to them to replace the tint, they didnt honor the guarantee, stating it was because the glass was chip. Initially, they made be believe it was covered. I do not recommend doing business with this company for tints of any kind. They are shady in their business practices and there are better places (based on further research) located in the area that are more reasonably priced with better service. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I brought my BRAND NEW palisade here within 2 days of getting it. They said they'd give us ceramic tint for a great price so we showed up. Got there and they quoted a totally different price. We asked about it and they met us halfway - whatever. We left the car and picked it up. Started driving and noticed the window was making noise that a bunch of air was coming in the car. Called and they said it's normal.. well it wasn't. We brought it back the next day because I noticed the window was pushed out of the seal. The owner came out and started ARGUING with my husband and yelling at him. He said someone probably tried to steal the car - mind you I'd had it for 3 days. He got in my husbands face and was arguing with him. My husband ended up pushing the window back into the seal and we were like whatever it's fixed and we left. Now months later it's still doing the same thing. Absolutely horrible and I wish my husband would have punched him. Don't put yourself through it and go to the Simi one instead! read more

If you want a fast/decent/low cost tint job, this place is will do that for you. Would I go here again? Probably not. They left a mess in my car and they added a 5 inch sun visor on my front windshield (which i did not ask for). Not to mention,while they were re-tinting my windows, I saw and heard a worker banging aggressively on something inside my car. Regardless of what he was doing, there was no care shown to my car; It was treated like garbage. After that, the same worker swiftly walked past me avoiding eye contact. I've been having issues bringing my Tesla X back in for a RE-TINT of the 3M crystalline windshield and other windows that has bubbles. Half of the lower windshield got lots of bubbles that are distracting to the driver and front passenger. The main guy that picks up the phone kept telling me to bring the car in when the strong winds die down so I waited again (for months) until end of May to call and schedule. I called yesterday to get an appointment to bring the car in next week and now he tells me that my windshield tint is backordered and need to call again end of June. It seems to me that this place is quick to schedule first time tinting but unreliable when issues arise ie needing a re-tinting. I paid lots of money to get my tesla X tinted and I expected quality work for the price I paid. Hopefully this place will find the time by July to fix the bubble issues.. UPDATE: 3 stars I brought my car back in to get it retinted in July and the main guy was hesitant to do my car because he thinks I'm expecting a 100% job w/o bubbles.. he kept saying he couldn't promise me that because my windshield is extremely large and that it is curved and that he would rather give me a refund. I was so unhappy with what I was hearing after I did all the work of bringing my kid with me plus her heavy carseat and driving 30mins to get to the shop. I told the main guy to fix it the best he can. When I finally got my car 8 hrs later it was almost perfectly tinted.. except for a piece of Hair on the top left side that is now permanently glued on my windshield. Since I put a visor on the top half of my windshield I don't notice the hair and there were no visible bubbles or issues on the bottom half. 3 stars for this company. read more

I want to give this place 0 stars. I don't know what stupidity brought me back here other than its convenient location as my previous review written years ago was accurate the first time . I am now on my second day of dealing with a botched up tinting job. Tesla windows automatically slide down about an inch when the door is opened. There is no way to prevent this . Right now it is back in the shop for the third time repairing the damage that happened simply driving off the lot. . This botched up job has wasted 2 DAYS of my precious time and has cost me almost 50 dollars in Uber costs commuting back and forth to my home. Additionally the shit I have had to go through emotionally because of all this is reason enough to stay away . The Latino man ( John ?) who claims he is the 'owner' is a consummate asshole. I have never seen him smile ever, he's usually scowling and is just a total scoundrel who DGAF about customer service. Instead of handling this issue professionally , he told me they would remove the tint and to 'take the car elsewhere'. Unbelievable ! This was not my first time dealing with him but I had hopes maybe the shop was under new ownership because the woman working the front desk , Maria , doing intake was lovely , accommodating and helpful .She was not there early this morning. I have tried calling there several times to discuss this matter and when I identified myself she put me 'on hold'. Update: I finally spoke with Maria who offered to credit back the cost of the tinting . We will see. . Just STAY AWAY !!!! If this is not resolved to my satisfaction I will ask my bank to dispute the $200 charge. Btw , read the reviews before you decide to bring your Tesla here .. Everyone is complaining of the same problem .. I was told repeatedly how mine was the ' only' Tesla to have had this problem. Let me start off by saying I've been coming here for 10 years. With that said moving onto my review. Upon entering this business your greeted and taken care of right away. The waiting room is very nice. The staff here is also very respectful and professional. Cars I've had tinted here. Bmw 740 Bmw 330 Bmw 328 Bmw 540 MBZ C280 Bmw E60 M5 Maserati m128 GT Audi S4 x2 ( one was my girl friends car ) Every time I go here the job is done right. The tint is quality 3M. They do a very good clean job. Also the prices are unbeatable for the quality. The owners name of this place is Johnny and I believe he also is in partnership with his brother. Both are good people. Overall this is a 5 star establishment. All the local dealers include Rusnak of westlake use them. With that said its proof that their quality is top notch. I would highly recommend this place if you need tint, detailing or body work. They do take their time so I do recommend just dropping the car off. Don't let that bother you. I felt a hesitant at the very beginning of my interaction with Johnny from day one. It began with the pricing $700 for a truck tinting job that included the windshield, however I had already taken the day off and couldn't find another place that could do it that day. I dropped it off at 9am and was advised to pick it up at 1pm however it wasn't ready till 3PM... upon picking my truck up, I found water/soap marks throughout the leather, in addition to tint scraps on my floor boards (messy install) I noticed "bubbles" on the windshield, Johnny stated to bring it back, and he would fix it. I brought it back the next day at 9AM, then he said I would need to drop it off so they could use the heat gun. I then noticed my back passenger window was missing tint.... My last trip back they had it all day, while they did repair the back window I'm left with an enormous bubble on my windshield... I've sent an email requesting a refund, and intend on using small claims court to get my money back for a poor install. Save yourself money, and time go somewhere else. I'm a business owner myself, and have a huge amount of patience, but it's clear to see that this company has some learning to do as it relates to customer satisfaction and job site cleanliness. read more

Worst place. Would be 0 stars if possible. Do not use this guy. Rude and when you show issues with tint they lie and say it's bubbles when clearly it was pieces of tint embedded under tint. Read other reviews. I wish I had. Took to another tint place and they discovered they Scraped off the defroster and radio antenna wires so now those don't work and requires a new replacement rear window. Wouldn't pick up phone when we called to tell them about it. Haven't called us back. Charged an extra $100 for lifetime warranty but wouldn't even fix original job. Other tint shop explained warranty is only $25 up charge from 3M. Buyer beware. read more

I left my car all day and after the tint was fully dry there were bubbles on all the windows. The surfaces were not fully clean when the tint was installed. But there was dirt and footprints throughout the interior when I picked it up. I called to complain and they said they would do it again. Same exact situation the 2nd time. A few weeks ago I decided to have my front two windows tinted to match the rest of the vehicle (2016 Range Rover Supercharged). I stopped by on a whim, and asked if they had availability- The young man up front asked someone who I assume to be an owner or senior management - she said absolutely, we can get pull it in between appointments right now! I was ecstatic! In under an hour and a half it was completed. They only complaint: they didn't wipe down the door interior - there was solution on both sides that had streaked in the leather. If it wasn't for that, would have given 5 stars for sure. Ps: it's nearly impossible to match the rear passenger window - Land Rover uses a special privacy glaze on the two windows. read more

Third times a charm? NOPE, I have taken my cars here many times, this place worked on high end cars, Porsche, Audi, BMW, Bentley's so you would think they take pride in their work. My Audi Q5, had bubbles the first time, the second time had knicks and scratches and they even left the number grade on the tint ( basically should have cut it out) unbelievable. Yesterday I had them re-do the driver side, there's 2 knick and a dirty spot under the tint that I cannot clean. Want your car done I suggest you go somewhere else. The only positive is they kept fixing my car at no charge, however I don't want to keep having to come back so they can do this and the job is equally as bad or worse than the first time. Came in for a a quote and my car was tinted by the end of the day. They have three different levels of tint ranging in quality, each with different % options. I choose the carbon tint (the middle choice) at 5% for my 18 Civic Hatchback. The civic hatchback requires extra labor to remove the back spoiler so the back window can be done in one piece. UPDATE: I took my car back 4 days after installation to complain about the bubbles and scratches. Tint was re-applied same day and car was detailed before pick up. I am upgrading my rating to 3 out of 5 stars. There are two things you need to know: Subpar customer service. Subpar workmanship. The young lady who makes appointments up front is friendly and the appointment was made with ease. I decided to call the same day of my appointment to see if I can get an earlier appointment, was answered gruffly with a "NO!" and and was hung up on. Okay, fine. Perhaps they were busy. Once I brought the car in, I was told the appointment would take 2 hours. 3 hours later, I hadn't heard anything so I call back and there's no answer for 15 minutes. I finally received a call back saying my car is ready. I get the car back and we notice several bubbles and imperfections. I take it back the next day and am told rather nastily that bubbles are expected the first few days. No one told me that when I picked up the car. I will be returning tomorrow because as expected, the bubbles and scratches are still there. I have a feeling I will not be received very well. I also noticed a window trim piece was broken off and a used rag that I assume was utilized for application was left in the back of my car. The one pro to this location? The price is reasonable. It's insanely cheap, in fact. But perhaps you truly do get what you pay for. read more

Very bad customer service. Very bad tint job. I was already hesitant on coming here due to the reviews I have seen, but against my better judgment I went anyway. First off, the customer service from Jonny is terrible. He clearly hates his job, does not know how to treat customers and does not want to be there. Second, the tint has bubbles that aren't going away, (and no, they are not the regular tint bubbles that go away after a few days.) Also, take a look at these photos of these WONKY lines they cut on the tint... holy hell!!! Finally, they amount of soapy water residue they left ALL over the dash, doors, windows (inside and out) was ridiculous. You go to a place to get your windows tinted, and they leave you with dirty windows and dirty interior. Very very unprofessional place and I will 100% not recommend anyone to go there and I will never go back for any future vehicles. PLEASE save yourself the headache and LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Tint installed: 12/28/2015, Review written: 1/1/2016 I came here based off the recommendation from a family member who lives in Moorpark and whos tint looked good and the fact that overall they had good ratings on Yelp. I am not local to Thousand Oaks but wanted to have the car done before my drive home. I had them do my BMW X5 with both the side windows and the front windshield. Note that I am from Nevada and my vehicle is registered in Nevada and the level of tint which I got is perfectly legal in NV. The cost to do those 3 items was $450 with a $10 discount for paying with cash. The side windows look good. I had an issue with the front windshield but their customer service stepped up and is taking care of it which is a BIG PLUS. read more
