Hello Everyone, I hate doing this because I am a person who likes to believe in the best of people, but the circumstances suggest the recent 1-star reviews are authentic. I paid $2,459 for ambient lighting to be installed in the car. They had my car for 3 business days (they worked on it during the MLK holiday) and did not complete the work. The install was supposed to cover the dash, all four doors, and the lining behind the front seats, but they only completed half of the dash and the doors. The owner, Frank, scheduled an appointment with me to return on Feb 4th to complete the work, and when I arrived at the scheduled time, I found that the store was permanently closed! I called Tint World corporate customer service number and confirmed that the store is closed and that Frank is no longer the owner. Truly devastating. read more

The work they did for me last November (2025) had no paint correction prior to PPF application creating numerous obvious bubbles. Their first application went wrong and due to admitted employee mistakes and they had to reapply. They had my car for TWO and a HALF WEEKS to apply a full front protection PPF. They didn't give me any labor warranty info even after several requests and they didn't give me any material information so now I can't get material warranty either. Now the film is peeling at the wheel well after 5 months. I'm not surprised they went out of business. If Frank (owner) opens any new businesses possible patrons should be very wary of it. I went it and was sold their "highest quality" window film. What I got was a tint job with bubbles on several windows with edges completely missed on the front 2 windows. When I called about fixing it after a week of letting the tint dry, they told me to come back and that they would take care of it. I showed up and the store was closed and had permanently shut down the next day with no notice. Now I'm stuck with a bad tint job and no business to stand behind their work. I paid $1,300 for the "Ultimate Nano Ceramic Tint" on my Tesla Model Y at Tint World in Fremont, CA. I chose them because they're listed as an authorized Tesla tint provider and trusted them to deliver quality work. When I picked up the car, I noticed bubbles, dust specks, and bent areas in the film. I was told the bubbles would go away--and while some did, the dust and creases remained. Despite the lifetime warranty, I was so disappointed with the initial job that I chose not to return. For the price and reputation, I expected better. Went here to get my head unit checked out because of the random cut off when I'm listening to music, which caused a long static noise that would randomly occur. Not sure what happened during the diagnostics, but the shop wanted to charge me over $500 just to perform additional testing. Keep in mind that I purchased this unit directly from them, so you'd think that I would get some sort of coverage after I've invested a lot of money for this unit and installation! I ended up going to another shop and they tested the cables, and that turned out to be the issue. A new USB cable didn't costed me anything because I had spare ones at home. read more

Tint World in Fremont is the worse.They are far from satisfactory and do very poor quality of work . I spent a lot of time waiting, rescheduling, and dealing with terrible work. My windows were left with many visible bubbles. Frank, the owner told me to wait 5 days for the bubbles to settle, but this didn't work. After making a new appointment they agreed to replace the film and promised a bubble free result.The issues continued and were worse the next time. The person at the front desk would schedule appointments, only for them to get rescheduled due to the technician calling out sick. He told me he will talk with Frank about my problems. Yet, I've never received a clear resolution. I'm still waiting to see the outcome. The quality of work was disappointing. And The Frank appeared not willing to resolve the issues. Fraud alert: beware, they will take your money in advance, will ask for bank transfers to avoid having any transaction and then return the car with no work done. Promised 2 days for ceramic coating and scratch repairs with color patching for $1700 but returned the car after 4 days with a poor $30 car wash and no work done to remove scratch or any painting done. After having my vehicle's windows tinted in December, I had quality concerns regarding four of the windows that were done here. I took my vehicle in and they agreed that the specific windows needed to be redone, and they made an appointment with me for the following week to have the work done. I showed up at that time, and they apparently spontaneously closed between the time they saw my vehicle and the date of my appointment. No effort was made to contact me to inform me before or afterward, and now I'm left fighting with my credit card company to try and get a refund since they never completed work I paid a fair amount of money to have done. read more

TL;DR: If you come here, be prepared that they will find any excuse to dodge fixing the scratches and bubbles on your tint. Highly not recommended honestly. The tint job is terrible. There are bubbles, scratches, contamination on my tint. And they cannot fix them even though I asked for repairs twice. I am going there next week again(third times) to fix scratches. Hopefully this time they can do the job well. I won't come back again if I ever need to tint. Update: They refuse to fix it. They keep saying it's a standard to have scratches and the scratches on my car is still within the standard. They showed me the small lines on the sale contract that states that the warranty only covers imperfection if it's more than 5% of the whole area. Since the scratches on my film are still within their "standard", they won't fix it. I already told them I don't agree with their "standards" and I can't tolerate the scratches especially they are at eye level. They still insist it is "insignificant". WTF? I don't get their logic. The logic Frank(a manager there) has is, they can tolerate the imperfections on their cars, why not they have to fix the imperfections on my car. It is the same logic as, "I can eat sh*t, why you just cannot accept it and eat it, too?" I went there and paid 950 dollars to get a tint, but instead, I should only expect to get a tint that is 95% "good"? This is non-sense and ridiculous. Anyway, I don't know what I can do to make them fix my tint now. Suing? Not sure it will work and worth my time for a few hundreds of dollars. Please don't go there if you value good service. We got quotes from 3 of the top rated window tinting firms in Fremont. Frank was aggressive on his pricing and very helpful on which material and level of tinting would fit our needs. We wanted significant UV and heat protection, so we ended up going with their Xpel Nano XR Plus option. They were able to do both of our cars in one day, and they looked great when we picked them up. We could easily see out our windows at night and my car was reasonably cool, after leaving it out in 91 F heat with the sunroof cover open for 6 hours. read more

I originally went in for tint but to my surprise they're a complete performance driven (you should see some of the rides they're working on) custom auto shop that will get you anything you need for your ride. Anything! They've found me a killer pair of wheels for my truck and are getting ready to do complete air ride suspension so the truck will essentially lay frame. I've gotten many quotes in the surrounding area and they're killing the competition with value and service! Customer service is top notch and is always on your side to get you exactly what you want. After another shop couldn't get my car alarm installed, I called this place to set an appointment to come in and was promised an emailed quote for options and pricing prior to coming to install the alarm. The email never came but I came in the shop anyway hoping for the best. They made it sound real good just to get my signature for the diagnostics and evaluation that they performed. I get a call back and they said they couldn't install it and tried to up sell me to a more expensive alarm for $1600!! Then they charged me $200 for a "diagnostic" fee to basically tell me something I already knew and that my alarm was not installed correctly. No sh** Sherlock! I got the windows on my 2024 Tesla Model X tinted through the Tesla/XPEL window tint program. The original XPEL installer that I was assigned to did a horrible job on the falcon wing door windows and told me that it was the best they could do. I brought my Tesla over to Tint World and they went above and beyond to fix the rear window tints, even though they were not the original installers, and made sure I was 200% satisfied with the installation. I had one of the worst nightmares dealing with this business. Read my review fully to understand how they bait and switch. Oct 31st 2024 is when I walk in to the store for a carplay module installation for my car. The retail advisor who helped me was Frank, showed me few options for the module, said the part would be in next week (Nov 1st week) and install would be 2-4hrs max. He was not transparent on which part they were ordering. He took a deposit of 600$ and said he will give me a call back to schedule the appt. This is when my nightmare started. They never gave a call back not once, I had to call them every week. They kept dodging my call, sometimes Frank was not available, they would never return my call. Finally after 3 weeks, I get hold of him in person, he says the part is delayed and it would take a week more to come. Again, I keep calling them, finally on Dec 4th they said I can come and drop off my car for installation. Again, I don't get a call when my car is done, they said they are finishing up. A day past, second day was passing, I went to store directly to ask what is going on. Mr. Frank, casually says they ordered a wrong harness, they expedited a new part, I should get my car on Dec 7th (sat). I should get a call back 12-2PM, either my car is fixed or my money is back. It was 4PM on sat, I never got a call (For records, I never got even a single call from them since Oct 31st, It was just me who called everytime). I go to the store again, Frank already left for the day. This is when I understood how they take customers and their time for a ride and make them fools to play to buy time. I said I am taking my car back and want my deposit back since no work was done (almost 40 days since deposit). They gave my car back and said they are not authorized to release my deposit since they have placed orders for new parts to arrive on Dec 10th. Honestly, I don't understand what their intention was, is it to keep the car just in their garage for a week for it to wait on parts? I am fed up with Frank's careless attitude when it comes with customers, not updating them with truth or honesty. Not sure how far they can go with this attitude of bait and switch. Its been 40 days of frustration for my family and my deposit being held with them. I do not want to go back to their store again. So as a consumer, I'd advice you to do through research on them, they parts they are ordering, invoice, tax receipts, when it would arrive, when they would schedule your install, etc., or prepared get radio silenced. read more

Recommend that you avoid this shop. It's expensive for poor quality, takes a long time and the shop owner is dishonest and vindictive. $1400+ for a Model S full tint. The first job they did had poor quality, after leaving the car at the shop for 5 days the final job still has many little issues (ripped corners etc.) including cuts to the leather inside the car. Be careful if you provide feedback this shop will lock your car inside for the weekend and not return your calls.
