Excellent craftsmanship installation of ceramic tint on my 2021 Honda HRV. Price was very good. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and coworkers. Took a little over 2 hours to complete. The waiting room was very comfortable and I could watch anything that was on tv including Netflix. It was more like chillin in an apartment than sitting in a shop lounge or office. Also it's in Waikiki, so you could take a walk around and be a tourist for a couple of hours. I went to eat some Ramen at Nakamura's, the best oxtail ramen in town. I recently moved from the mainland and needed to have my tints removed then new ones put on because mine were too dark and did not pass inspection. I found Richard on Yelp and he honored the $100 off deal. He had the most affordable prices for same day tinting. His tint store is located in a garage of a hotel so it was nice to have my car stay cool while it was being worked on. When I went to pick up my car the tints looked perfect. Richard pulled my car out of the garage for me, but when he turned on my ignition on, the passenger window went down and did not come back up! My car was working perfectly and never had any window issues. I freaked out. I could not take my car home with no window because I do not have covered parking. Long story short, Richard tried to repair my window and his attempts did not work. I had to leave my car with Richard for two weeks while he ordered the part from the mainland. He stayed in contact with me while I waited. With no car, I was walking to work or car pooling and it was getting pretty rough. Plus I was getting pretty thin with all the walking I was doing! Soon after, Richard found me a free rental car for a few days, yes free! The car was old but had ice cold AC and I did not have to walk! Eventually, Richard fixed my car when the switch to the window came from the mainland and it works perfect now. I am very grateful to him for returning my car back in working condition.. I'm normally a DIY'er when it comes to auto stuff, but I can't even install a screen protector on my phone properly, so I figured it'd be a better idea to get my windows tinted professionally. I got a quick quote from Richard through Yelp, and decided to go with him because of his quick response. Upon arrival at his shop (located at the top-end of the Hawaiian Monarch's parking garage), I was greeted by Richard, who first demo'd his product's ability to repel UV light (very cool to experience that before making a choice with my purchase). After opting to go with the ceramic tint option, Richard started working on my car, taking care to remove the old, damaged tint from the front windows, then replacing it with high quality, UV inhibiting ceramic tint. He and his teammate (Mike I recall?) were able to do the remove/replace tinting in about an hour. They noticed that the door panels weren't installed properly to begin with (previous tinting company? I inherited my car...), but made sure it was put back on properly when they finished. These guys are class acts, and they will be the bros that I call up when I need future tinting work done. read more

Wow, Richard is great! I called on a Friday, and he was able to squeeze me in the next day. He tinted all the windows on my new 2020 CR-V in less than 2 hours and it looks perfect. I don't even see any little water bubbles you normally get the first few days. I picked the most expensive ceramic tint and it was still, I think, a very reasonable price. For reference, in the past I had my Audi A3 tinted at Al's, and although they did do a great job, it took them 9 hours and they charged me almost double what Richard did. And my Audi was a much smaller car, with less windows! I also got a lifetime warranty and some advice on how to take care of it. I don't think I'll have any issues so far, but it really seems like Richard would be willing to fix/help out in the future if I do. read more

I had an appointment, but Richard failed to annotate it. I showed up. No Richard. Called and he said he was on a job in Kailua. He was very apologetic and professional about it. Said that he would return in about an hour if I wanted to do it then. I said, "No thank you". I didn't want him to "rush" on my tint work, especially after completing a previous home tinting project and then driving all the back from Kailua. They precut the film prior to arriving so when they come, the process moves quickly.
