I met Kevin and he was very down to earth and passionate of the work he performs and guarantees his work 100 percent. He was very thorough in explaining the whole concept of the sealant, warranty and process for maximxing it's life. I did observe how clean, neat and uncluttered the shop was. It's kind of expensive but worth getting it if you want to invest in keeping your car clean. Never used ceramic coating but of course the initial results looked great. That's most likely from the paint correction/polishing as I couldn't really tell if ceramic coating worked at that moment. Kevin worked with me a bit to stay within my budget, although honestly I thought it included some of the paint chips I had on the front bumper. He offered to try to fix it when I picked it up, but by that time I just wanted to take the car back so whatevers. Nice guy and great to work with, just make sure you calculate what you're paying for. Would post my car pic but not sure how to attach pics to these reviews. Will update down the line to see if it was really worth it. Update 8/10 - Figured out how to add the pic, also Kevin called me to make sure if I was satisfied. He told me to come back and he would take care of everything, and also wash the car once to check out the ceramic coating properties. I brought the vehicle in the next day - Kevin offered to drop me off at my job but kindly refused as I wasn't too far off from the shop. Kevin had taken the vehicle to the auto body shop nearby to get an estimate for the repairs I've requested. After agreeing to a price, the bumper was separated and the necessary components were ordered. In the meanwhile, kevin went straight to work detailing my car and working nights to meet the project deadline. Kevin and the autobody shop updated me every step of the way. I was marveled by their considerations and welcomed their opinions as I've met and trusted every person involved. Took my my car to Kevin early in January to have it ceramic coated, knowing nothing about the process and benefits of having something like it done. Kevin thoroughly explained the coating from prep to maintenance including any and all stupid questions for a person like me who knows little. After going through the options I mentioned that I was looking to get some parts blacked out in the future which he happily informed me that could be done as well through an associate of his. We agreed upon the ceramic coating + powder coated wheels, vinyl wrapped trim, etc. At no point did I feel like he oversold or pressured me to do anything I didn't want to do and was very patient. The original appointment was for sometime in March but unfortunately my windshield cracked making me delay the coating until three months later. Kevin was extremely flexible with me, rescheduling the appointment two or three times with no attitude or push back whatsoever. When the appointment finally came I dropped off the car and discussed some final details such as the color of the wheels, vinyl, etc. and left the car there for about a week after which I came back and saw my car in the best shape it had ever been, I would say even better than when it came from the dealer. I was extremely impressed with the ceramic coating, powder coated wheels, and vinyl wrapped trim which looked absolutely amazing. Kevin sent me follow up materials including details on how to properly wash and maintain the car and links to suggested products to use, leaving no doubts or concerns. After pulling the car out of his shop into the daylight it looked like a million dollar car. I cannot recommend him more to anyone who wants their car to look its best. Chemicals. There are chemicals everywhere! Do you know the reason why those old muscle cars from the 60s and 70s rusted after 10 years? Chemicals. They didn't have the superior paint products we have today. If you bought a brand new car off the lot an hour ago, it's your investment and must be protected from the elements. The paint on your new car is a factory paint job done by robots. It's not going to be perfect, there's going to be imperfections. Just before each winter you should apply a wax sealant on the paint. This is to protect it from road salt and other chemicals. Chemicals! I was in a pinch, I wanted to have my car waxed in August instead of September. A black car needs special attention, it looks great but you can see every spot. My normal detail guy? Busy all month. My back up detail guy? Back up for the next three weeks. Dang! I go to Yelp (love Yelp) and search for auto detailer in Westbury. I found KS Detailing, 5 star reviews?! I started to read them, all from folks with low reviews. Yeah.. I can see a scam. I go to the website and start to research. I see broken links, I'm kinda on the fence so I pick up the phone and speak to Kevin (the K in KS) he starts telling me about the two bucket wash process. I said all that sounds great but I want the better system. The second stage is using a clay bar to buff out any paint imperfections (damn robots) on my sexy Dodge Shaker Challenger. And then a wax sealant to protect the paint from the elements. What sold me the most after speaking with Kevin was the detailing certificate his shop boasts. You can go to a "car wash" and they can wax with Turtle wax. Yeah... I think you want to leave a professional detailing to a professional who understands the correct chemicals to apply to your detailing. Not having my car for a day during the week is rough. I dropped it off at 9:30ish and was told it would be ready at 3. That leaves me a lot of time to catch up on paperwork. I get a call about 2.45, is it ok if you come later? We're still working on your car. Go baby go!! Once I get there, Kevin is making my head spin with the chemicals. The break dust gets on the wheels and the rims, He cleaned the wheel wells with stuff. It's friggin' science, I get it. Show me the car! Man... I think I shed a tear. My car is looking molto sexy. He even cleaned the interior when I ordered an exterior waxing. I can see how proud he was with my car. There's a Yelp discount when you check in, he worked so hard I didn't bring it up. KS detailing is legit. I brought my 2014 Lexus IS350 in for a problem I had with some potential damage to my paint. The roof in my garage was leaking and dripped rusted iron onto my car and I have a white car. I brought my car to KS Detailing and the car looks like the day I picked it up from the dealer! Amazing work and great guy. Took my man's car here to get clean and Kevin did a wonderful job. The work was done great. Stains that were in the fabric of the seats were cleaned out. Sticky beverage residue was steamed clean and the trunk was cleared out. Made appt with Kevin to buff out what I thought were surface scratches (before returning my vehicle for end of lease). Kevin immediately inspected the vehicle, even tried to see if he can treat scratches and within few mins advised it's not worth doing anything since scratches were fairly deep and would need paint correction. He advised to simply return vehicle and pay the $400 penalty to Volvo & it will be most cost efficient- and did not charge me anything. Based on all positive reviews, I decided to ake an appointment with the owner Kevin to discuss my options on getting C QUARTZ FINEST for my 2017 BMW X5M. I was quoted $2000 for complete car treatment, meaning exterior, interior & wheels. Exterior had few chips here & there, which was supposed to be filled in with the touch up paint. Driver seat had some normal fading from blue jeans, It was very noticeable because of the original red interior. I was promised that my car gonna be ready within a week. I dropped off car Sunday. Following Friday Kevin gives me a call and tells me that it's not gonna be ready by Monday ,he would need a few more days. I didn't mind waiting few extra days, as long as my car would be done correct way, as promised. He then calls again on Tuesday, And says you can get your car Wednesday afternoon, but I'm going to have to put Another coating in the morning, and it will be better if the car will stay here in the shop for another 48 hours. I agreed to that. Came in today ,Friday to pick up my car. It looked clean shiny when I walked in. I started going around to see how nice it looks.Every door ,bumpers ,door panels had those small paint chips that were not even touched up. He started touching them up in front of me and saying, hey I might have missed a few spots. Only God knows what paint it was, in a plastic drinking cup that his friend gave him from body shop. For this type of car or any car I would assume that you get a touch up paint from dealer to match your exact color. FEW SPOTS?? You charged me $2000 to tell me that you might have missed few spots? When I open the door, I asked right away about interior treatment because it did not look like it was applied.His answer was, I didn't have time to do it but let me see if I have any left it might've been expired but ,I'll try to see if it's gonna work. You didn't have time??? It's expired, but you wanna try something on my car???? Any other professional place would apologize and offer client to come back and finish the job when they have proper supply , not expired. Did not even have in his mind to offer and finish his job.No, my friend! Enough trying . So, basically I paid $2000 for an exterior detail wash with possible buffing . I don't even know if there is any C QUARTZ coating on my car. I would have to contact company to see if they can send me somewhere to a professional to check.
