My car was parked at a supermarket parking lot and while I was shopping, someone hit my car and left the scene. The rear passenger door and panel behind that was dented and scraped badly. I utilized V & S in the past for my company car and I remembered they did great work. Vinny was very helpful and professional. He gave a good assessment of the damage and cost to repair. Since he is also an Allstate adjuster, the process was a lot easier. Originally the job was expected to take over 2 weeks. Not only did Vinny and his team get the work done early, but the quality of the repair was flawless. The paint job matched exactly the original paint and the workmanship was phenomenal. The cherry on top came when I saw that Vinny also buffed out and painted some scratch marks I had that were not due to the accident. I strongly recommend this company - if you are in bayside and need any body work done, V&S is the place to go. I first met Vince at V&S when I urgently needed my car inspected. Vince inspected the car promptly, and when the inspection revealed that my tires needed replacement, helped me replace them quickly with no hassle whatsoever. I went back to Vince for help when I got rear-ended. I had never been in an accident before, and Vince told me exactly how to work with the third party insurance company. During the repair process, the third party insurance company dragged their heels, and as a result, I had to check in with Vince daily for almost a week. Despite my constant check-ins, Vince remained very friendly and helpful. Even though the insurance company took over a week to approve the paperwork, Vince had the repairs completed within 3 days. This was my first time using this repair shop for my BMW. My bmw app alerted me to get my rear break pads changed and I also wanted a wheel alignment. I was visiting from out of state when my 2002 X5 wouldn't start. I ruled out the battery since mine was brand new, so like any other BMW owner (who knows how pricy parts are) I got a knot in my stomach thinking how much it's going to cost to get it back up and running. I was scared that I would pay way over the worth of the actual vehicle to get it fixed at the dealership and I was skeptical on getting it towed to the closest local shop. After a little googling, I found V&S on YELP and saw that they work on a lot of BMWs (new and old). My AAA tow truck driver even told me that's the place to go if you have a BMW, so I felt relieved. Vinny's correspondence on yelp was very quick, and once he had the vehicle he was very thorough in explaining the issues with my X5. His mechanic did a thorough look over of all of the issues and gave us a list of what is causing the main issue along other issues that he found under the hood. His pricing was reasonable and went ahead and got the works done to get everything fixed up along with a tune up. When I told them a few other issues that I've noticed (like damp floors when it rains) they knew exactly what was causing the problem and how to fix. My car was damaged by my parking garage at work. I came in for a quote and Vincent was very sweet and took a thorough look at my car (the rear bumper was dented in). I brought my car into a different auto shop and they only took a quick glance before giving me a quote. But Vincent even checked under the car to see if there was further damage. A few weeks later, I bought the car back and was told it would take about a week for it to be fixed, however I got a call a few days later and it all completed. I'm very satisfied with the results, the bumper looks great! He even touched up this little chip I had by the door. I would highly recommend this family owned service shop, they really do show they care and are extremely efficient. I don't know much about pricing when it comes to auto repairs so I can't comment too much about that. However I'd like to point out that, I have a Subaru Impreza Limited 2016. Be ready to deal with a greedy mechanic that try's to charge you a full hour when the work would only take less then 40 mins. It's 119$ per hour for service I asked him to replace a starter which would only take 45mins on a 1991 Camry tops I told him so u will charge me only for that time he said no I'm going to charge you for an hour I said never mind I took my car and left he was very rude and got mad when I told him it should be less then an hour charge his wack son or whom ever came to his defense As if I didn't know what I was talking about don't go here they over charge for time that's not even used. I originally posted this on Google but somehow forgot to post it on Yelp. I don't normally give reviews but the service Vincent and his crew performed blew away my expectations. I was involved in a minor accident that warranted a rear bumper replacement on my Subaru Crosstrek. The other party insurance company took care of everything and recommended me a local body shop that was close to my work. Against my better judgement, I went with the local shop for the ease of convenience. That was a bad mistake. the shop painted over the trim part where is supposed to be black plastic, the color match was off even to my untrained eyes. The repair became an eyesore. The shop did own up to the hack job and agreed to fix it but I turned it down because that "Trust" is not there. So, I research Vincent at V & S Motor Service, first through Subaru's own repair website and then through Google and realized not all body shop are qualified to fix your car brand and only a few are a regonized collision repair center with the car manufacturer. Now that doesn't mean there aren't any shop out there that can do the repair. Through the research, I found out that V & S is also I-Car Gold class certified, that is the industry standard in fixing you car the right way and other shops fixing your car by cutting corner for a bigger profit at the cost of your safety with inferior parts. All this was enough for me to reach out and contact Vincent. He email me right back and answer all my questions and converns and was was very patience and informative. I took the drive and show the hack job to Vincent and we decided it was cheaper to just replace it with a new bumper, A few days later after I dropped my car off, it was looking beautiful again, the paint lines was nice and tight, no extra paint on the black trim parts. I was also a little embarrased that I did not wash my car before dropping it off and V & S washed it for me too, for a minute I didn't regonized my own car because it was so shiny. As I was pulling out of the driveway, one of the worker noticed one of my brake light was out and they took care of it too and Mr. Vincent Sr. got his hand dirty in helping out. Great service. When I first moved to NY I took my 3-series BMW to several shops before trying this one. I've never gone anywhere else since. The mechanics know exactly what they're doing. $95/hr for mechanical and $50/hr for collision, body work and painting. It's not the cheapest place you can take your foreign car, but it's the best one I've found. Just take care if you're on a budget. They like to fix everything they can, even if it's not essential. Took my Audi A6 for a overheat issue. Very nice and clean shop with professional staff. Vincent took my car and assured me that he would diagnose and address the issue. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap but my main concern was if they were doing the job right as Audis are complicated and tedious in certain fixes. Ive been to this shop a few times and I guess I wish it was smaller and better communication with it's customers. The last and final time I went in they found nothing wrong with my car, but did not inform me, but kept my car for 2 days!!! I had to call just so they could tell me, they didn't find anything wrong. On other occasions, the repairs took way too long. On average 6 days. Too long in my opinion. Clean shop, nice owners, but slow, and they don't communicate as well as other mechanic's do. On May 23, my car was scheduled to be serviced at V&S Motor service. This service was to include an inspection, oil change and to top off all my liquids. For the "supposed" above work I was charged $315.00. As a loyal customer, who has been coming there since 2013, I would have never expected for the work I was promised to have not been done. I received my car back and the air conditioner did not work. The air conditioner worked perfectly fine prior to dropping my car off for service. I called V&S and was told that could not be. Frustrated with the service, and it being hot outside, the next day I took my car to another mechanic /auto shop to look into the problems with my air conditioner. I paid another $275 for my air conditioner to be fixed and to my surprise was told that I needed to service my car. The mechanic showed me that my liquids were never topped off and my car was not serviced. I contacted V&S and spoke with the mechanic who serviced my car and he apologized. I proceeded to ask for a refund and was told that I would need to speak to the owner, Vincent. The owner proceeded to not give me a refund, and stated he did not believe that was the case. Although, his mechanic stated it was. I came to this shop thinking I would be treated fairly as a customer and was sadly mistaken. I would never recommend his work or staff to anyone. If you still decide to go, check and double check their work because they are a rip off. read more

And then I found V & S. I hated my experience at the dealership. I didn't trust the gas station shop on Francis Lewis in Whitestone. I really wasn't willing to sacrifice a ton of $$$ to go to the Dealership. I really didn't want to! So I scoured the web and joined a few BMW message boards and forums, and people kept recommending V & S. I searched review sites and the reviews were positive. So I decided to roll in and give them a shot. I was really happy. I got a great price for an oil and filter change and they did it in under an hour. I also got reasonable quotes about future services and repairs, and when compared to what the dealers quoted me, I might be able to take a vacation with what I'll save. The shop is clean. Been going here for over a year now with my 2010 M3. I did my research before coming here, I had always drove passed it but since I had bought a new BMW, I wanted to find a nice honest place to have out of warranty repairs done. Like others said, its not the cheapest place, but if you want quality work done and you know what needs to be done, they're very good. If there's a problem with the work they've done, Vince is good about taking the car back and having the car worked on again. I had winter tires I need swapping and found on they weren't balanced really well and the car was misaligned. I took the car back, took Vince for a test drive to verify that the tires weren't balanced and did the work over again and gave it back to me perfect. Highly recommended. read more

Visited this mechanic based on reviews read online. I have a 2006 325 BMW and needed rear brakes changed. I brought my own OEM brake pads, rotors and sensors to the shop. The manager Vincent wouldn't make eye contact with me...red flag #1. Brakes are simple to do, so they did them. The manager then instructed me that the front brakes were worse than the rear they just changed and I needed to hurry up and bring the car back to have them changed. My front brake light came on so I decided to have the brakes changed. While at another mechanic changing my thermostat, I told him my front brakes were done and needed changing. He took one look at the brakes and said they were no where close to being worn down. I failed to believe V&S MOTORS would be so dishonest (or incompetent) so I had him take the wheel off and take the brake pads out and they were nearly identical to the BRAND NEW OEM brake pads I just purchased. Furthermore, someone cut the sensor from the brakes and folded and tied it up to the brake line (Thanks for letting me know V&S). In short, this mechanic told me these scumbags do this all the time. Simply change the sensor ($20) and charge you for new brakes and rotors + labor ($400). I will never return to V&S motors. This was an eye opening experience. I will be going to autozone, buying some tools and watching a lot of youtube videos so I can become more handy so no mechanic can jerk me around. These people at V&S are bad humans. read more
