My first lashes appointment was with Fernanda and they looked great, but they all fell out when I went on vacation and my face was assaulted by the wind and salt water of the Pacific - I also didn't know you have to wash them to prevent oily buildup, so yeah. I came back two weeks later with literally no extensions left and had to pay for a full set all over again rather than a touch-up. I do wish they had told me about needing to wash them, because I really wasn't provided with the full aftercare instructions the first time I got them. But, now I know. They sell a special foam wash and gentle applicator for the soap here, which I recommend purchasing. My second session was with Viktoriia, who is absolutely incredible. Mynx & Inks is definitely out of the way if you live in DC, but it's worth it for the fair pricing and amazing quality.

Short version: DONT GO THERE, SHE WILL RUIN YOUR REAL LASHES long version lol: I am from out of town and my friend said she used her years ago and liked her lashes so I booked an appt Thursday. Had some car issues so I text her asking if I could move it to Friday and she gave me a new time no problem. Friday I come for my appointment she is very nice. I had a set of lashes already from another random lash tech that needed a fill and she said they looked crazy and it would be better for her to take them off and put a new set so I said that was fine. During the session I had to tell her a few times about the burning and she said it would go away. Then she was being a little rough and I mentioned it but she attempted to be softer and I was already in the middle of the application so whatever She finished my lashes and they looked pretty so I was happy. I get to my car and see the time and couldn't believe it had only took her an hour to remove my lashes and do a full set. I've had my lashes done for 3 years and nobody has ever come close to that. But I had no problem with that since they looked fine from what I could see 4 days later I see why it was so fast, she had put lash extensions on clumps of my natural lashes instead of a single lash which is how it is supposed to be. So when you glue multiple natural lashes together they grow at different rates so eventually the slower growing ones will get pulled out. So my lashes were feeling weird from this pulling and I text her to tell her the problem and so she could fix it She got super weird and aggressive and said there was no way that happened and was telling me all the people she does lashes for. And she "remembered me" and started making up weird things that I had apparently done (no idea what she was talking about). I told her I would send her a video and she said she didn't want a video and she can remove them for free. I asked if she could fix it not remove and she said "I guess I can deal with you again" LOL So I told her I would write a review because there is no way I would let a crazy person that makes things up and is aggressive touch my face, I thought she was normal from my appointment but clearly she's not. She's nice unless you tell her that her work is bad (which it is) Don't let her mess up your real lashes, you wouldn't even know because they look fine, Honestly I wouldn't have known if my lash techs hadn't explained this to me in the past she just didn't realize I know how lashes are applied. DO NOT come here if you care about the health of your brows. I paid $135 for a brow threading,…read moretint, and lamination package on Wednesday, May 20 at 11:15 AM. It is now May 27 -- one week later and my brows are sparse, damaged, and actively falling out. I am including before and after photos. In the before photos you can see my natural brows. Thick, full, and well-defined from the head all the way through the tail. In the after photos you can see the tail of both brows is now sparse and fragmented, with hairs visibly scattered and damaged. This is not fading. This is structural damage. Here is what happened: When I arrived I was immediately handed a consent form and pressured to sign it on the spot with no advance notice. When I took out my phone to photograph the form (so I could reference the aftercare instructions I was agreeing to follow) I was told I was not allowed to take pictures. I have never had a service provider refuse to let me document a form I'm being asked to sign. Before the lamination, she threaded my brows so aggressively that I was visibly shocked. I have had brow laminations many times. Every other technician I've been to takes off as little hair as possible before a lamination because the entire point is to create a full, fluffy result. When I asked her directly what look we were going for, she dismissed my concern and said they would be fluffy once she was finished. They were not. During the chemical processing (a timed procedure where monitoring is critical) she left me to perform threading on two walk-in customers. This is almost certainly why my brows were over-processed. This has never happened to me before at other establishments. When I asked for aftercare instructions before leaving, she pointed me at a poster on the wall for Elleebana Lash Lift maintenance. That is a lash lift aftercare card, a completely different service. I was never given written brow lamination aftercare, just a quick verbal "no fluids or oils for 48 hours". I followed the 48 hour rule to a tee. I take the process very seriously because, of course, I don't want to waste my money. Results: my brow tint was completely gone by day 4. Brow tint should last 4-6 weeks. One week out, my brows are dry, brittle, and falling out every time I brush them. Hair loss is not a listed risk in their consent form. This is not a normal outcome. This is what happens when a chemical treatment is over-processed and left unmonitored. I have the consent form documented (I took a picture before she tried to tell me I couldn't, Thank GOD I did!!). I am pursuing a full refund and will be filing a complaint with the Maryland State Board of Cosmetologists. Do not risk your brows here.
