The food service and ambiance was great. I'm putting this as 4 stars because it did not go above and beyond, but also was a great place.

We visited Tiny's each night we were in Newaygo. It was walking distance from where we were staying which was wonderful, and they were open late. It was nice because we could eat dinner, and then walk over and enjoy dessert. The first three nights I got twist soft serve which is my absolutely favorite. I thought the price and the portion were generous. I got a small the first night, and baby the other two nights. My husband got a milkshake, and then various scoops of the other ice cream. The flavors he had were enjoyable! On the last night I got a brownie fudge sundae with soft serve and it was delicious. The brownie pieces were decadent and soft and it was the perfect end to the week. The people working there were super friendly and our orders were always taken and churned out pretty quickly. Clean space, with indoor and outdoor seating which was a plus. We will definitely be back to Tiny's when we're in the area! read more

We were just there after tubing at Winser Canoes (highly recommend Winser) . We walked up with a party of 9, 6 of them being children. It was admittedly a little chaotic. The man was rolling his eyes while we were all talking. He asked if we needed more time. I said yes, that would be great. He slammed the window shut and rolled his eyes. Once we thought we were ready he opened the window. He was rude and started making me feel anxious. My daughter (age 9) asked what size flurries were. He shouted the number of oz.'s at her. When she asked if she could see the size of the small flurry cup he did show her, but he was angry. Our 6 yr old was the last order. She took a little bit ordering. I was getting anxious but decided I wasn't going to let him pressure me, hence her. She did tell me her order which I told to him. When it came to pick up hers was not on the order and he said it was my fault. A lady NOT FROM OUR PARTY repeated my niece's order to him. There was no apology. Later I heard another customer asking them why she was charged extra for something. The owners said in an accusatory way to her that her daughter ordered a flavor burst and they HAD to charge 52 cents for that. I rarely review places but I was fuming while we were there. Tiny's is one of the highlights of my annual visit to MI. Their ice cream is fresh and so flavorful. The flavor bursts are yummy and fun additions to the soft serve. The scooped butter pecan and coconut ice creams are fantastic. In a cup or on a cone you can't go wrong. They are always busy but they do an acceptable job getting everyone taken care of. I usually get my order to go but I have done dine-in also. They offer both inside and outside seating, plus a walk up window. All areas are clean and well maintained. VERY LITTLE ICE CREAM FOR LOTS OF $$$$ I live in Newaygo. A few years ago vowed to never go back after continuously being wayyyyy overcharged for a simple soft serve or single scoop cone. Today my boyfriend wanted to stop for a small cone and I advised him of my concerns with their pricing and he suggested giving this establishment another chance. Once again my opinion was confirmed good judgement as we ordered a baby sized soft serve twist & a small sized soft serve Butterscotch flavorburst in regular cones and were charged $5.37. The serving sizes were ridiculously small. Additionally.....SUPER unsafe location of ordering window....just mere feet off of a busy state highway. It's only a matter of time before a distracted driver jumps that curb potentially causing harm or death. From what I could see the facility was clean overall. I highly recommend traveling the half mile away to Big Lick...you will not be disappointed. read more

The ice cream is alright. It's ice cream. But the prices are mind blowing. I took my son there after his team won their baseball game and it was almost $10 for two single scoop cones. I drove to Croton so that I could see the dam, it was *dam cool. Corny, I know. After that traipsing I went to Newaygo because I had never been there either. This was all on the fourth of July, so lots of traffic heading for the lake (s). At this stand I decided to have a late lunch which included a strawberry banana smoothie and a fish sandwich.
