Everything here is good. We stop in the summertime and get a sandwich and enjoy walking around the nursery and seeing the goats. The food is very tasty The flowers and plants are of high quality and a great price (less expensive than most local nurseries). Fun little hidden gem that we found while driving up north. We pulled in and didn't really know what we were getting ourselves into. There were quite a few other people there shopping as well as having lunch. They have a full menu, gardening stuff, cats walking around, goats you can play with, car ports, gifts, and more. It was truly funny what we were finding around each corner while we waited for our food. The staff was very friendly and the food was ready within 10-15min but we also ordered right after a large group, so we didn't mind walking around exploring the property. My wife had the Buffalo Chicken Panini and I had the Turkey/Swiss Panini of some sort (its not on the menu online). We both had waffle fries as well. I love this place! It's so nice and cozy. Whenever we go to my aunt and uncles house we always make sure to save time to stop by for lunch, dinner or some really good ice cream. I always get the amazing chili dog It's soo good!! I also love the pretty flowers, I'm sure that almost any mom would love some of their pretty flowers. They are sometimes short of staff but they still manage to keep the place looking amazing. I love this place you should definitely stop by if you have time! read more

While waiting for your food order, peruse their home decorations items for sale and even garden items. The owner is friendly and helpful. Eclectic landscape supply and curio shop which also has a burger/dog/sandwich/wrap restaurant inside. There are only four tables inside and several picnic tables outside. I posted pics of the menu. Prices are very reasonable and food is decent. I had Chicago dog and veggie toppings were very fresh. Fries were standard fare (my waffle fries were a bit undercooked), seasoning was good. Free refills on fountain drinks. Highlight is the Hudsonville scoop ice cream available in numerous flavors. Shakes, slushs, etc are available too. Overall, it's a respectable place with a good price point. Chicago foodies on the way to Traverse will probably best drive on by, but those after a leisurely lunch, close to US-131, with a ton of cool stuff to peruse afterwards will really enjoy Sticks and Stones. read more

This place is right off of US131 at the Pierson exit. Its a cute little restaurant/gift shop/garden store/ice cream parlor all mixed into one. I can't speak for the mulch section, but the burgers here are pretty good. I went with the olive burger and waffle fries. Cost, six dollars and some change. Stopped on our way up North. My husband was skeptical when we pulled in and almost wanted to go somewhere else. We decided to go in and eat since we were there. Found this place on our way up North. Cute garden center with lots of knickknacks for sale. They even had baby goats outside. The outside is deceptive as it doesn't look like a restaurant, but the food was very reasonably priced and tasted good. My husband really enjoyed the Mac N Cheese. Service was a little slow, but it looked like they were training new employees, so that could be why. Overall, definitely worth the stop! read more

This is a great little place that I as a local was surprised I never heard about. It was actually my boyfriend who was visiting from Chicago that actually just happened to see the restaurant on his way to pick me up. He likes to find the mom-and-pop feel stores where you can get authentic home-cooked food instead of going to the box chains. We love Sticks And Stones so much that he has wanted to come back again and again and again. We never get tired of the service and absolutely love that we can buy Michigan grown produce Michigan made products and many of them come from right here in our own community. You can not find a better place around than Sticks And Stones for affordable food and a little bit of souvenir shopping as well. read more

This place has some of the cutest things, ranging from garden, to lawn ornaments and more. They also serve ice cream, other food (salads, sandwiches, burgers, fries, and wraps). You'll also find some other items for sale on the inside as well. They have always gotten my order out to me in a quick and timely manner. The workers there have always been very polite, friendly, imformative and happy. I can honestly say I have NEVER had a bad experience. I will definitely keep coming here for my ice cream and a quick bite. So if you are looking for some mulch or perhaps something unique and awesome for your garden and lawn (or food) come check this place out. Stumbled upon this place while driving to Glen Arbor for a wedding- it is ADORABLE, tons of cute signs and local made goods. It's a gardening store as well and has a great outside area including a play set. The menu is pretty versatile and food is good - the also have ice cream, sundaes, shakes, etc and the hand dipped cones are delicious! What a great find! This place was awesome! Neat little find as we passed by from Northern Michigan headed to Indiana. Food was great! Service was very friendly! Completely unexpected since there was nothing else at this exit except as gas station. Highly recommend this place and wish we lived closer. Kids had corn dog basket and grilled cheese basket. I had the Wacky Weiner basket (hot dog with peanut butter, chili and pickles)...so good! Hubs had grilled chicken wrap which was large and looked filling. read more

I love the location and all this place has to offer, especially being from the area. However, the lady with the fake lashes, was not very friendly, and made me and my kiddo's feel like an inconvenience. (No it was not closing time). Not only did we feel uncomfortable, but it turns out this place also gives kittens away. Well, when I asked about it, the lady was very vague. Didn't explain anything to me about why they were there or who they belong too. My family and I just bought a home and I just feel fell in love with a kitten she had there. (I have been looking for awhile for a kitten just like this, so I was very excited) However, the lady stated "I want them to go to a good home." Implying that I wasn't good enough. (At least this is how my kids and I took it). My six year old and 13 year old were confused and sad! Poor customer service and not very friendly. I won't be back. read more
