Told them I was waiting for bore diameter to order new performance pistons. "Danny" said "we can order them for you and save you some bucks". Great...but I was NOT consulted on pistons selected. Piston parts numbers showed $200 for set of Summit pistons that was marked up $100 on bill. Crank was to be polished but was told new crank would be cheaper. Bill still showed crank polish for $300. Was told it was for my benefit to avoid tax. I was not advised on crank selection. My short block turned into a long block. Was told to bring in my heads for installation. Purchased them already surfaced. Guess who got charged $300 per head to be surfaced on top of valve job for $250...not 1 call for authorization. I found this when I went in days before pick up. A $900 estimate ended up at $3000. Mission Auto Parts and Machine Shop should be last place anyone should go.

Horrible experience and terrible customer service! I brought back a new drive belt I had bought…read morehere because they had sold me the wrong size belt. I told the person working at the front desk that it was the wrong size but they looked completely clueless so they went to get another guy to look at it named Eddie, which is where it went downhill. First, he already had an attitude about him where you could tell he did not even want to help. Second, he could not speak proper English so it was difficult to understand everything he said. Third, he looked at the old belt and the new belt and told me they were the same. He just verified their size simply by looking at them. He never asked me what the make and model of my vehicle was to make sure it was the correct part, he just kept insisting that it was correct because they looked the same. He talked down to me as if I was stupid and I was in the wrong. All I wanted was the correct belt size which I was willing to pay for; however, due to this guy's poor customer service skills and rude demeanor, I decided to take my business to O'Reilly Auto Parts instead. This will be the last time I do business with Advance Auto Parts.

I went to o'Reilly and the manager on duty asked if I needed help. I told him "my left wiper just broke in half and it's flapping, and I have no idea what kind of wipers they are". He asked me if I would like him to check it. Well turns out there's a snap on them and it unsnapped, ‍. He fixed it for me and I didn't have to buy wipers. I felt so silly but glad he fixed it for me.

When we pulled up it wasn't extremely busy but soon did become packed with pickers. The place is organized by cars and has signs indicating where are the models are. There are plenty of vehicles to pick from. Everyone was also nice. We didn't understand the mechanism to take the tire off and some guy came up and showed us plus helped us get it off. It was a good experience. I would recommend this place over getting this new. You can get a replacement part at a bargain. Would recommend. You will spend some time looking through the various car parts. There is a small admission fee, they offer warranty, and prices are very reasonable for what you collect. This place is great!

I've never seen a line or had any problems getting in and out. Even if gas costs a few cents extra I rather stop here. Plus, I use my Plenti rewards card and get $2 off every now and then when points add up and they do add up. One point for every gallon. If you use Plenti at Macy's or ATT&T, you don't get as many points as you do with Exxon. The inside of the store is also big and brightly lit. There is a car wash but I didn't like it much. It's way in the back and doesn't look part of the store but you do have the option of paying for it at the pump. Looks like it needs some TLC.
