The chef uses a very delicious yet simple marinade that isn't full of smoked flavor. Oh oh my goodness the portions are huge. And we've always been treated wonderful, our server was also the bartender and looked like there wasn't a lot of other staff around. Twin oaks is now Greystone mountain. As a local I have seen this course under several ownerahips…read moreand have played it many times. So here ya go. All previous years until 2020 it was just a little 9 hole course with little care for maintenance and upkeep. Fees for golf ranged from 11$ to 20$ depending on if you played 9 or 18 with or without cart. Currently the course is undergoing some renovations and the maintenance has improved. Fairways are decent as are the greens. They are changing #6 making it a par 4? maybe. All that said we played last week and when I booked a tee time online it was 22$ for 18 with no cart. When we arrived to play and pay our fee was now 82$. YES. 82$ We were floored. I can play any other 18 hole course in the area for less. We asked if there were senior rates it then was 80$. Too funny. The course just doesn't justify this high cost for greens fee and cart. I know we didn't have to play there but we did. Once burned. If we do play again it will be 9 and walking. The price of gas doesn't mean gouge the patrons.

I would like to give this course a better rating because of the Fantastic views and fairly nice…read morelayout. But the fairways and rough are so terrible it's not even fun to play. Finding your ball in the middle of the Fairway is a tasks. We watch them mowing the fairways with a regular tractor and blowing all of the clippings to the edge of the Fairway. If your ball rolled into that it was impossible to find. Greens were in fair condition. They were a little slow but they rolled fairly true. Very nice little clubhouse with a good selection of drinks and a very nice woman working there. She was very pleasant, helpful, and friendly.
