Edgewares Customs is the best shop in NYC for e-micro and acoustic mobility service and repairs…read more I've brought multiple bikes there for inspections and repair work, and every visit has been met with exceptional customer service. What sets this shop apart is its clear communication, willingness to work through unique situations on a case-by-case basis, and honest, transparent approach to business. As a small, independent shop, they're dependable, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping their customers. The level of dedication goes beyond repairs. After one of my bikes was stolen from Prospect Park, Edge was able to track it down on Facebook Marketplace, a level of commitment you simply don't expect from a bike shop. Edgewares Customs is more than just a repair shop; it's a valuable resource for the local community. If you're a New Yorker looking for trustworthy expertise, reliable service, and education on e-bikes, micromobility, or bike maintenance, this is the place to go.

I've been riding for over 40 years and purchased more motorcycles than I can remember…read more In all those years, I never had the pleasure of dealing with a "family" of people like the ones at Brooklyn Mayd Motorsport. The customer service was EXCELLENT, they spoke to me like a person not a customer and followed up with me at every turn. Thanks Roseann & Shawn your a great example to your son who will surely be the next owner.

He's slick talking and he's always 'giving you a deal'. I had a small throttle cable issue on my 03 Bonneville that only required taking the tank off and adjusting the position of the cable. I couldn't do it myself because I didn't have the tools to do it. Sean said they'd knock it out real quick and 'give me a deal'. When he handed me a bill for $280 I reluctantly paid that knowing I'd probably never come back there again. Also, next time I went to take my seat off, noticed that both stock Triumph seat bolts were gone and they just threw on 2 different bolts that weren't even the same length. I did buy brake pads from them once and they didn't over charge for those. I did the brake pad replacement myself tho... So maybe, if you need parts, see what they've got but don't have them touch your bike. Don't get your bike inspected there either. They'll charge you double what it costs

Business-wise, the older Bob was always missing something each time I visited. When I was a…read moresocially awkward newbie biker back in 2011, he lacked patience and courtesy. I'm not sure what question I asked but I had to repeat myself a couple of times and I remembered feeling like an idiot afterwards. The next time I needed something later that year I went all the way Arnold's on 8th Ave because I thought the guys at Ferrara would be annoyed to see me. Other memorable events: In 2013 I needed my front bike tube changed and now that I was a bit more seasoned and confident, I went back to Ferrara's. Price for the tube and replacement was within range of what I expected but the turnaround was not-- like 1-2 days and I was impatient lol. Thanks to that experience, I learned how to replace a tube myself that day. In 2019 I needed a back spoke replaced and both wheels trued. They were friendly this time but there was another issue-- this time they lacked urgency. I wanted it done ASAP and was willing to pay more for it but I was informed alas that there were a bunch of jobs ahead of mine so it would be ready overnight at the soonest. That might've been believable but Bob and the other guy there weren't actually servicing any bikes and just chatting when I came in. The good thing that came from that experience? It took me around two hours and I got my hands dirty but I learned to replace spokes and true wheels myself later that day. IMO this isn't really a business so much as it is post-retirement social gig. And power to Bob! I could only dream of being in a well-enough economic position to do what he does.
