I asked them to fix a recall , Car was there over a week and they did not fix it. Terrible Service! Well I bought a brand new truck there, at tipotex chevrolet in brownsville tx there sales man helped me with everything, until I took the truck home. So I had it finance through gm financial, the finance manager said I would not get a better interest rate anywhere else, that was after I told him about my credit union. So I went ahead and had it finance with gm financial. About a month later the credit union called me and said they had a better deal , so I had it refinance, the credit union has there own gap insurance, so I canceled with tipotex chevrolet, I have been trying to get my money that they owe me know for 3 months. I have called several times, they always ask why I am calling. SO MY POINT IS THAT THEY ONLY CARE UP UNTIL YOU BUY THE VEHICLE, ONCE YOU LEAVE DONT EXPECT ANY HELP. I have a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 that I bought certified used from this dealer. At the time I felt like I had made a good purchase but only 1-2 months later, in the middle of summer I notice my AC having issues keeping up with the Texas heat. As time progresses and I'm tied up at work I have to work inside my truck to operate my business at the job site and I get cooler air from outside then I do my own new truck. I had to deal with this for over a month because I was too tied up at work and Tipotex could not give me a service appointment less than 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule. I finally find some time to commit to an appointment and bring my truck over with my issue and the next day I come to find out the compressor needs to be replaced. That's odd to see a truck with less than 25,000 miles needing service let alone a part failure, this should serve as a red flag for anyone looking at a buying a vehicle here. Well a week later it's still at the dealer and I don't get any feedback, I send some emails but of course I don't get a response, I finally call and the maintenance manager told me they ordered the part from GM but had no idea when it would arrive. Also another red flag. As of Tuesday of this week my truck has been sitting in the dealer with all of my equipment with zero progress because they keep saying they have no clue when they will receive the new compressor. It's Thursday of week 3 and now they tell me it will take another 8 days before it arrives. Do the math and my truck has sat at dealer for over a month without performing any of its duties to my business. I could have considered taking the truck back to work and ignoring the problem but since my truck is close to the warranty limit now, they mentioned that the service may not be covered. They offered to put that in the notes of their system to be able to perform the service after the warranty expires but why the hell would I want to drive my truck with no AC in the middle of September, I've already dealt with it for the past three months, I'm tired of it. And this isn't a matter of how I should compromise my day to day but why the hell it takes so long to get a single part and even more so why am I dealing with this with a truck having less then 25,000 miles, certified by the dealer, especially when I paid over $55,000 for it. They never offered to provide a loner vehicle or to pull the part from another truck or any kind of alternative, simply to wait and see if it ever arrives. Horrible truck, horrible service, learn from my mistake and go get anything else by anybody else. read more

My mother (who is elderly) has a 2016 Chevy Colorado which this Dealor offered $20,000 to buy it back to fill their used car inventory. She declined. Later there was a recall that needed to be done on some part, so we brought it in and then they said there was an oil leak in the front main seal that was "catastrophic" . Mind you, there has never been oil found under her car or in the engine bay but she let them fix it. Cool. Since they have touched that vehicle, there has been issues ever since. Alignment was off, engine light comes on, battery won't hold charge and loads of electrical issues. It's literally falling apart after they worked on it. This place is deliberately causing issues in order to make more money off her and possibly pushing her into selling it back for a new vehicle... they are preying on the elderly and people who work very hard for their money. There weren't any major issues until this dealership had its hand on this truck... BEWARE of this shady operation. read more

Received the worst service ever on my vehicle. Dropped it off on Monday at 7:30AM, kept calling for an update and I received no updates, I had to stop by the dealership to only find my vehicle parked in the same spot it was parked on since Monday when I had dropped it off. It is now Friday and had to pick up my vehicle because it was still not ready. Do not recommend this place, such poor service. I had to cancel my thanksgiving vacations due to the lack of service my vehicle received. Corporate will be hearing about my terrible experience. read more

This is jhon doe a concerned customer and a Brownsville Texas resident. A week ago today my wife and I took her truck for a oil change and we addressed the fact that we found out our washer pump wasn't working in our windshields. We made an appointment for 9:30 am. At this date I went to the service department, told the young lady we had an appointment under and she told me to go drop off the keys in the quick lube garage. She didn't write down my name or take my keys but instead sent me on a wild goose chase. The man was baffled and said they don't work on that there. I walk back to the service department, I told the lady what the gentle man said. She finally writes my name and ask me who I spoke to , at this point I feel like if I am an employee and not a customer, like if she is my boss and not a person that has my best interest as a customer a priority. I feel like if I should get part of her check for doing her job. Then I ask her who do I need to speak to and she gives me a name, and tells me he is outside. So their I go again looking for a guy in a cap, I walk around and I find him to tell him(the third person I have spoken to)what is happing, keep in mind I had an appointment. I thought all I was going to do is sign my name and turn in the keys and wait to be called. He tells me to give him the keys he will clear out the ordeal. Thank god , I can go . Well , the torture doesn't end their. I call 4 hours later to ask about the truck, they tell me its in the shop the service advisor will call me back right away with details. I never heard from them again , despite me calling back several times and leaving messages no one calls back. Its closing time when they call to say they are waiting for me to go pick up the truck, and I am in the middle of making my family dinner. Good thing I have two cars, and I can pic up and go at any time. What an inconvenience , if they would called me back to give me a time so I could plan accordingly it wouldn't of had interfered with my dinner. When I get there the lady says she told me not to leave, it made me so upset , she was reprimanding me , when I could go on and on in her short comings as a clerk. We would think that a well reputed establishment like Tipotex would know a thing or two about costumer service, or maybe they do but it gets lost as it goes down the chain of command. Consequently I don't expect to receive anything out of this , only the respect I deserve as a customer. read more
