I would NEVER suggest anyone to go here.. I had a fill done a few weeks ago.. the male owner worked so quickly he burned my nail beds that they scabbed I had to have the nails removed, and was on antibiotics.. he actually cut me with the drill that's how hard he was drilling into my nails. I was in no rush at all. He was. My nails were long and natural almond, the shape was changed drastically to some weird claw with misshaped and not straight on some, again rushed and careless. Regardless the acrylics are off now and it was the WORST experience of my life. I moved down here recently and haven't been able to find a good nail spot. When I was leaving the salon the female owner made a comment about not tipping her son as much as her husband for my pedicure, she failed to realize the rest of the money for the tip was on the counter. It was extremely rude and entitled especially the circumstance when I was looking at my nails seeing how displeased I was and I could tell something was wrong my nails felt raw and were stingy. Absolutely worst pedicure I've had in my life - pictures speak for itself. Also, Nexgen manicure was a joke. The gentleman who did my hands and feet literally did my pedicure in 15 minutes. My cuticle was barely touched and my callus was light scrubbed for 2.5 seconds. In addition, I asked him to clean the edges as there was nail polish on my skin. He cleaned off my entire toenail basically. The Nexgen manicure must be filed evenly otherwise your nails will look stubby and thick. He was so rushed. They came out horrible. Even after bringing up to the owner's attention, his response was "They look fine to me." Obviously not.... he's just the business owner and has no idea about nails or hair (he said it himself). He offered for the technician to fix it, but I was not sitting down in that chair any longer. On the contrary, I did have my hair cut and blow dried by Marisela which came out phenomenal. She cut the perfect amount and was very kind and gentle. Unfortunately, I will not be returning nor recommending this salon to anyone. read more

What the actual f***. To begin, I made a reservation for 3 acrylic sets for the same time and was assured at least two would be taken care of at once. However, upon arrival there was one technician who came more than 15 mins late. After sitting for more than 3 hours for all 3 sets I'm horrified to report the quality was far below satisfactory. I don't think I'll come back to this place again. The pedicure was actually really relaxing, but the manicure was SO rushed. Different tech for mani and she just rushed through it. Literally the worst experience I have ever had. Utensils were NOT sterile- were sitting in a jar labeled "barbacide" and floating in the dirty liquid with skin clippings and filth. if you're getting your nails done politely pass on the female working the front desk. I believe she is the owner. She rushed my nails cut me. I know everyone has a different technique and different tools but she was using ones I've never seen used before and not using ones I've seen used every time. She was rushing so much at one point she literally filed off all the polish she just put on. The very next day I have my top coat coming off and my nails looked like trash. not sure what oil they use at the end but both of hands were peeling two days later. not happy with the experience and definitely not worth the $$$$ read more

I found this Salon & was happy they were open on a Sunday. I read previous reviews and the one that caught my eye was from Kat M. She explained how deceiving they were and lied to her about the time they were available. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and called to set up my hair appointment. I found this gem in a rush. Needing a hair and nail fix. The parking was easy and the location was central and easy to find. As soon as I walked in they had me seated and ready to go. Janet, the hair dresser, knew exactly what I wanted and kept good conversation. Everyone was interactive and very nice. Lights, decor and cleanliness gave me comfort in allowing new individuals to do my hair and nails (we all know how hard that is to find). As soon as my hair was colored and blow dried exactly how I like it, I was seated for nails. Greeted and again welcomed with good conversation by Rochelle. Nails were cleaned and painted while I had a glass of complimentary wine in my hand and finally got to relax. And dare I say the price wasn't all that bad for a place like this! read more

Rachel King is an absolute master at her craft. She went so far above and beyond for me and my aunt when we came into this salon today. What we expected to be an ordinary blow dry turned into one of the best, if not THE best, blowouts that I have ever had. The high-end products that they use (Kevin Murphy from Australia), the free drinks you get with your services, and the beautiful ambience make this place feel like an utter oasis. I haven't even gotten to my nails yet! My manicure and pedicure were both equally flawless, and given with the utmost care and precision. Peter did my nails using the dipping powder, which was a first for me, and Rochelle did my pedicure using gel. The color, shape, quality, and overall experience of both were perfect. Let me first start off by saying, FINALLY! I've lived in this area for five years and we've only had "fast" service nail salons. This place is much more. Walking in you realize this place is completely different. The ambience is perfect, your welcomed by friendly staff and a long bar. The service list is almost endless ranging from nails, hair, facials and massages. I started off with an aromatherapy pedicure which was so relaxing and then a shellac manicure. I top it off with an express facial. I walked out feeling luminous and relaxed. Important to note, they do accept credit but not tips on credit. So bring cash! I want to point out this review is not based on the service because i didn't even get to try it. Based on the website and yelp- Tipsy should be open on Mondays at 9am. I went at 11:30 and they were closed so I called and the women informed me they'd be open at 1. So I went back at 1:30 and still closed! I called again just for her to inform me that in reality- they are always closed on Mondays. Why have your hours on your website on yelp state otherwise?! Super nice people, enjoyed the environment although when I was there in the middle of the afternoon on a Friday the clientele is significantly the older snow-bird crowd. I spoke with employees there though and they said that was due in large part to the owner's very loyal following of clients over the years and that they also had a good base of younger clientele. That element wouldn't dissuade me from trying the place or not but if you're looking for a hip, fast paced place to be seen this spot may not be for you. That being said I loved it. I enjoyed the background music, the look is very modern and inviting, clean, tools for my mani pedi came out of sterilized pouches, I was offered a glass of wine, and my manicurist was very attentive but didn't insist on talking to me the whole time so I was able to read my book and relax. This place is AMAZING! I'm a nail snob and the pedi my girlfriend and I had for my birthday was literally an hour of massage and scrubs! They spent so much time on cleaning our feet to perfection. We had mimosas free with a 35$ deluxe pedi. I highly recommend this salon. On top of the great care they took, they are also wonderful ladies to speak to. They do hair, nails, and skin care. It's a must in Deerfield. I've been looking for a salon since I moved a year ago! Oh one last thing this salon is a real spa... It is well maintained and clean. Not my usual place but was meeting a friend for some pampering...we both got a pedicure and gel manicure. To be fair, the salon and staff were nice. We were greeted as soon as we entered, offered a nice glass of wine and were the only ones there. My nail tech was Sparkles (Audrey?? Can't remember, but she had been there 3 weeks coming from another salon) Nice lady, gave a descent pedicure and a good foot rub. I appreciated that she took her time, however you wouldn't think so after taking a closer look when all was done. I've been growing my nails out and getting gel manicures for quite some time now and this has been by far the worst! This is the kind of work I would expect from someone in cosmetology school, not a seasoned professional. My nails look really shitty. The color is beautiful, but not evenly distributed over my entire nail bed. You can see the top and tips of my natural nail. There is no polish along the sides of any of them making it all uneven and rigid looking. They do not feel reinforced like they normally do and my pinky and thumb nails broke the day after. My nails have never broken with the gel, this is a first for me. It's so extremely sloppy and disappointing. Had I noticed how terrible they looked that evening (they closed and it was dark when we left) I definitely would not have paid and tipped so generously! When I got home and was able to look at the work, I was extremely displeased with the quality. The more I look at them, the more angry it makes me. I thought about calling to go back and have them redo the polish but I don't feel like going out of my way nor do I want to see this woman who should have done it right the first time. Perhaps my standards and expectations are a bit higher when going to new salons being that I am a licensed professional myself, but this experience was total garbage. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! read more

I sat down for a pedi with my husband as we were on vacation. I got the "kid" who started my pedi and was rediculous.. I was hoping my husband would get someone better. My pedi should have been $5.00 not $35.00. The only saviour is that I get pedis regularly if not I would be pissed. I sat at the table for a mani and looked down and there was polish all over my toes. The man took acetone and tried to remove it but failed. Then the man convinced me to do powder instead of the gel polish I asked for. He told me he would get a color to match my toes reddish color for the holidays . Does the powder and it is ORANGE. Great for Halloween not the holidays. I had to leave because we were running late and they did not offer to refund me or fix it. Too bad it seems like such a great concept. They are very friendly and if I lived closer would definitely go there provided I do not get the kid and I pick my own colours. read more

Really horrible gel mani pedi I had. No one told me their names so I don't even know who to complain about. The older lady who did my pedicure made one foot a different lighter color than the other foot. Along with that, my hands were a completely different shade than my both of my feet. I felt embarrassed when I left. They didn't even offer to fix it or atleast not have me pay for the pedicure. I paid full with tip. I had to ask if I could come back for them to fix it. The man who did my nails seemed confused but when he took a look at how drastically different my hands and both my feet were, he said okay. Meanwhile, never gave me his name or gave me anything in writing or made an appointment for me to get it re done. It is a shame because this tipsy is close to my house. I went to the tipsy in delray to get my hair colored and it was wonderful. Will not be returning to this location.. such a horrible experience. Very disappointed in this establishment. Scheduling an appointment was so convenient, the staff was so friendly, and and everything about the experience was great. Kristy is so nice and she helped me to find the right color for me. The employees were very nice... and that is about all the positive feedback I can give for this place. Gel nail polish peeled off of our nails with in hours. Our pedicures have morphed and we both have white polish all around the edges. After paying $60 for a mani/ pedi and sitting there for over 3 hours,due to re doing the gel manicure three times I ran out of room to even try to be nice. All because the nail polish would not stay on my friends nails, my pedi and now gel polish is halfway off after only 5 days, as well as us now having to find time to redo our nails else where; I would not recommend this place to anyone. I hate to talk poorly about a place, but this salon needs to either complete their building and get new products or go out of business. read more
