I went to the Delray Beach location off of jog road. I honestly had super high hopes for this place as it seemed to have good reviews. I'm not very picky with my nails at all, and I wanted flower stencils on top of my nails. However, after 2 days all the stencils were lifting under the gel and half of them pealed off in 2 days. My nails were also shaped weird and very bumpy. It's disappointing because I spent $75 on my nails just to have to go somewhere else 3 days later to get them re done by someone else who ended up making my nails look worlds better. If you are going to charge so much for stencils, at least make sure your nail techs are making sure they are secured on. I'm tired of nail salons rushing work on clients when we pay good money to get them done correctly. read more

Very disappointed with this nail salon. I got my nails done on a Friday morning and two of my nails broke on Saturday! The man who did my nails kept telling me my nails are too long when my natural nails underneath are also long. If I'm paying you for a service I would prefer not to be told what I need, I'm paying for what I like. I typically am able to keep my nails done for 2 weeks or more. I recently had my nails done at my usual salon like 1 1/2 prior to my walk-in at Ocean Nails Spa. I had acrylic overlay that was lifting a bit on some nails. I walked in and asked if they could help. The receptionist, with an apathetic look, said it would be 10 min. I said ok. She asked what kind of polish, I said gel. I picked out my color and 10-15 minutes later one of the ladies came over and asked what I was getting done. I told her and she took my color that I selected. She then instructed me to take a seat at #2. At this point I assumed she would be the one doing my nails, but no. I sat in the spot I was assigned to for 20 minutes before Tom, who was still working on his previous client, came over and asked what I needed done. I explained once more. He began to remove the clear coat off my current nails. He was very ruff with drill, even after I said that it was too rough, and even saying ouch he was unfazed. Seemed like he was rushing, since he still hadn't finished polishing the clear coat on his other customer. Half way through my right hand he goes back to his prior customer. Finished putting on the clear coat, then came back. After he removed the clear coat from my nails, I asked him if he would be removing the parts that lifted. He said would I soak the acrylic off so he could put new one on. I said no, I don't want to soak my nail. I had been in seat #2 for 40min at this point. I asked if he could just remove the bits that had lifted and fill the nail. He said NO! You can see a line. I said it wouldn't matter because I was putting a gel color over it. I kept insisting until the receptionist came over. Once he got the message he continued to do my nails. Toms work needs major improvement, he asked if I would like my nails thinner or thick. I said the thinner the better. He made my nails about the thickness of quarter. I asked him to thin them about about 5 times. He said no, this is better. I said u made 3 nails that are way too thick. I pointed to the ones that needed to be thinned. He tried to make them thinner, at this pointed he was annoyed because he said"just" and then didn't say anything. I asume he wanted to say just shut up. And the reason I say this is because after he finished laying the acrylic and shaping it with the most unsightly file, he got up and let the the lady that had spoken to me in the beginning, polish my nails. I assumed he was leaving and that's why she took over. However, he didn't. He laid in a white chair that was in the back reading a newspaper or something. After my nails were done and polished I left immediately! After 2 hours I was finally done. The owner never came out to see what was going on. I can only say that they have never gained me as a customer. And will not be referring anyone to their salon.i have never been more disgusted then by the awful work of this salon. They need to learn customer service, especially their owner. The only thing I can say that is positive is that Tom did ask for my name and how I was doing in the beginning, and that I do appreciate. read more

She was friendly spoke minimal English but did exactly what I wanted. They seem to have a great variety of colors and overall I was pretty happy with the service I received. My usual nail salon was packed, and I was in a rush, so I tried Ocean Nails. I had a basic gel manicure and matching regular pedicure. The pros: -The girl who did my mani/pedi was very sweet, and she did a nice job. -Decent number of polish choices The cons: -The service took about 2 hours...way too long for me to be sitting in a nail salon. I look for salons that do quality work, but are efficient and quick. -A man working there was talking on speaker phone, which is one of my biggest pet peeves. So rude. Worst of all, he was doing that while working on someone's nails. I feel like some attempt should be made to create a relaxing experience for customers. Loud cell phone conversations don't creat that atmosphere at all. -The salon is unorganized; there was a man trying to work on three different manicures simultaneously, and each woman was becoming visibly annoyed. One person even complained that her nails had been wrapped too long while soaking off the gel, and he told her to wait a few more minutes (so he could continue working on another manicure). I think there are far better places in the area, and I wouldn't recommend this one. read more

I have been going there for almost 3 years, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but I AM DONE! #1: I have had nail fungus TWICE. #2: They don't care about YOU and your time appointment, I have sat as long as 1.5 hours past my appointment because they take walk-ins. #3: They are super rude and speak vietnamese and giggle behind your back, basically they barely speak english. #4: The mom " Jenny " is HORRIBLE, she did my nails 4-5 times easy nextgen and they peel off / too thick after one week. My sister and I went to get our nails done together and we were both very disappointed with the experience. My sister got an acrylic full set with some squiggly line designs and it cost her $92 and the underneath of her nails weren't filed. I got a full set and got chrome on my nails and it was $82. I called and asked if they had the brand SNS for dip, and the lovely receptionist told me that they did and to come on by. When I arrived I was sat down, and the nail tech just sat down and started to file my nails with the drill. She hurt me so much I yelled OUCH! Of course I got no reaction from her. I told her I needed my nails really short, and she didn't care at all. I had to tell her more than 3 times to shorten them. When she started the dipping process, she used the Nexgen glue and activator. That annoyed me so much, because I specifically asked for the SNS. (I did get the SNS dip, but I didn't want it to be mixed with the other brand.) Of course they told me it doesn't matter, that it's all the same thing, but I was very specific about not wanting that, and no one seemed to care. I kept telling her I wanted my cuticles cleaned and by that time she was more annoyed with me than I was with her. So, another tech came in, and finished the job. She still didn't clean my cuticles and was going to put my hand in the UV light. The whole reason why i get dip is not to use that light!!!! So that's when I told her, "no; I'm not putting my hand under there!" She put on a clear coat and told me I was finished. My nails looked horrible!!! They looked like when you've had your dip on your nails for 2 weeks! The cuticles were sticking out! So sloppy and ugly!! Not to mention that they hurt me so much, that 2 days later and my nails STILL hurt from being filed down so hard! So the manager or owner had to practically redo my nails. By that time I was frustrated, and in pain. She tells me, next time you come make an appointment with me or with the other girl. (She points to another tech). She tells me, she's really good too. Seriously?!? Then why give me a bad nail tech if they know they don't know how to do the job?! Another detail, she said some things to the receptionist in front of everyone that I didn't think was appropriate. She told her very loudly, I always have to triple check your work!! I felt so embarrassed for the girl!! When I went to pay, the tech was standing near by waiting for me to hand her a tip. I am a huge believer in giving tips, but there was no way I was going to give her a tip for a terrible job! I was so happy to have finally found a nail salon that used that specific brand. If they would've done a good job, they would've had a customer for life. But, they lost one. Might not make a big difference to them, but oh well. read more

Well...This was the quickest, most meticulous gel manicure I've ever had. And it came out amazing. I ended up being an hour late because google maps lead me to a place called 'Ocean Nails', which I went to first. Wrong city & within 5 minutes of being there (I know, quite a delayed response), I knew I was at the wrong spot. I was coming off 3 hrs of sleep on the plane and an overnight shift. My brain was operating at subpar capacity. Crazy...anywho, I abandoned the other not-so-great spot and drove another 30 minutes to the right place, communicating with one of the nail technicians during my navigation troubles. They were understanding and still took me in. My nail technician was extremely friendly. I wasn't very talkative since I was a shell of myself by that point in time. If I'm ever back in Boca, I'd easily come back. Thanks to this place for being great! read more

I got a full set dip powder French manicure. The woman who did my nails did a great job with the dip powder, the nails themselves look great. However, the woman aggressively drilled my cuticles, and continued to do so even once they started bleeding. It has now been a few days and my nail beds are still visibly cut up and bleeding, breaking, and overall dry to the point where it is painful and I'm embarrassed when people look at my nails - despite the great French. It's one of those places that don't actually give you a manicure and clean up your nails to ensure they're healthy before giving you a full set. I think nail maintenance is just as important part of a manicure as the paint/dip itself, so I will not be coming back nor would I recommend it to others. read more

I went in about a week ago to get a full set of nexgen tips put on, and a week later they're all broken off. This is about the third time this has happened with the sets that I have gotten there. I've been getting tips put on my nails for over 5 years now and I have never had this happen this frequently, and I used to do plain acrylic. They life from the bottom and pop off mostly, but the others seem to be so thin that they just cracked right down the middle. It upsets me that this is a recurring thing with this salon because I do love the people there but I just can't keep wasting my money. I booked an appointment at this salon for 9:30 and arrived on time. A nail tech started soaking my next gen off, 30 minutes later she came back to drill my nails and then a man showed up for a back wax. She stopped doing my nails to complete the back wax. At this moment I was already looking up appointments at other salons because I needed to get to work. In another 15 minutes a different nail tech came over to finish drilling and complete the service. The second nail tech did an alright job on my nails, but they are just ok and they feel sandpapery. I went to this place today and had Penny, the owner do my nails. First of all, she's amazing. She can do pretty much any intricate design that you want. The prices vary, but at the end of the day I do believe it was worth it. I got ombré nails with two glitter, and I paid $67 for a full set. Penny is efficient and gets the job done. You can tell she works hard because she helps out everyone and seems to run the place pretty well.
