I arrived with a 2023 Challenger with 10,000 miles in mint condition and wanted to trade it for a 2025 Mustang. The sales guy, not going to mention his name, didn't even try to make a sale. I know that dealerships want to make a commission off every sale, but these reps don't sell 10 cars a day. He could have made an extra effort to get me into a new car. It's all about the money and how much they can get you for. I'll never stop here again, nor will I recommend it. Too bad, because it could have been a great experience. Tipton Ford Brownsville is one of the most unprofessional dealerships I've encountered. They didn't have the specific vehicle I was looking for on lot and offered to dealer trade for an outrageous shipping price of 2000$. They didn't want to tell me what dealership had the vehicle. I did some research of my own and was able to locate the dealership that had the vehicle on lot and found out Tipton priced the vehicle at 20,000.00 up market price. When Tipton Ford called me about a week later to see if I was still interested in a vehicle I declined and explained that I purchased it from the dealership that had the vehicle on lot ,they hung up on me and blocked my number I assume because I didn't do business with them. I extremely advise not purchasing from Tipton Ford Brownsville unless you want to spend 20,000.00 over market price and be treated like you can easily be taken advantage of. It is a debacle every time I get my car serviced here. The first time I didn't have an appointment and it took nearly 4 hours to get an oil change. The second time I booked an appointment and had to wait 30 minutes just for someone to show up at the office. I ordered tires here once and they lost them! So I had to wait another week to get the replacements. The service itself isn't bad. The technicians seems to do a fine job. I've never had to go back for a mechanical issue. read more

I came in about 1030 and asked for a oil change with full synthetic oil and a tire rotation. I am traveling 1000 miles from home. So about 45 minutes in everything looked like it was going good oil drained tires rotated then truck was lowered. Then I see no activity around my truck for 30 minutes then Juan came to me said I needed an air filter and cabin filter. I said ok with but no mention from Juan the cost. To my surprise 2 hours later the bill was $325.00 and Juan was nowhere around to help me, he was at lunch. The guy trying to cashier me out was not able to answer my questions about billing so he gave me a $20.00 discount after i asked and I paid bill. To my shock i paid $101.00 dollars of the $325.00 for a air filter replacement on a 7.3 gas engine. Filter was a lc3z9601a which ford list price on this filter for about $58.00..i was charged $71.99 for part only which my paperwork said was a diesel air filter change (my truck gas engine). So, I called Jaun Cavazos about charge that I thought i was over charged, he said he would check on it and call me back. Our van showed a warning wrench light. We've been on a cross country road trip from Virginia and needed to get it looked at. It's a conversion van that we live in so we can't just leave it for days. We had called two other dealers in the area because google said they were closer. But their customer service and demeanor on the phone was poor at best and they only wanted to offer me to leave the car with them for 3 days to get it diagnosed let alone fixed. I called Tipton Ford and I told the woman that answered the phone our situation and she put Tony on the line. Tony said, we'll take care of you. Just come in down and we'll diagnose the issue and then you can bring it back the next day when we've organized all the parts needed for whatever the issue was and have us fix it. I drive over there, it was only a 15 minute difference in drive time. As soon as I get there everyone was sooooo nice. The receptionist remembered my call, took down notes, introduced me to Tony and all just got taken care of. Just that experience alone was a great customer experience. I used to own a tech company and providing a great customer experience was our differentiator before I sold it. These guys have it down. But wait, that's not all. As I'm getting a couple of things out of the van, including out 50 pound, 5 month old, St. Bernard, over walks SergioFreeman, business manger for their Hyundai devision. We have a cool, fully loaded, off road adventure van. He chatted with me about it and I told him we were of to Big Bend after we left. He then began helping me fill up my note pad with all the cool places to check out there and along the way. Then after he left, he came back with a couple If maps he printed out with more notes for me. AMAZING!!!!! Anyway, they looked at the fault codes and determined it wasn't any big deal and that there really wasn't anything to fix. Even chatting with the mechanics was an amazing experience. I truly have not had this great of an experience at any other dealership before. In the end, they just gave me the keys and said I was good to go and didn't even charge me. All I can say is, if you are buying a car or need service, you have to work with these guys. I don't write a lot of reviews but when I have an experience as good as this, I have to. Recently had my work vehicle in for service. I set the appointment last week, the service manager requested that I send the Vin via a text to ensure the parts were in ahead of the scheduled maintenance. After sending the vin the prior week, the day of my appointment came. I dropped the vehicle off and waited 11 hours, upon which time I called to check the status. The manager seemed to be unsure as to its exact status and requested she call me back. A few minutes later she called to inform me the parts hadn't been ordered yet and the mechanic hadn't even began working in the other issues I requested to be fixed. She requested I allow another day and to let the vehicle stay there over night. Since I drove here over 2000 miles for work, and I'm staying in a hotel. This would not work at all. This being my only means of transportation while I'm in town. I'm a very easy person to please, however, this kind of issue is an easily avoidable one at best. Your service was very good considering there was an opossum with a nest sitting in the engine compartment of my car. The mechanic and I were both very SURPRISED but he took care of it and it ran off into the parking lot where I'm sure it was run over quickly. SAD!!!!! 4 Days later a bigger opossum was on sitting my engine complete again with a nest of leaves, grass, sticks and twigs. This one ran away in the yard. read more
