They also pointed out an issue I had (and didn't know about) with a rusted off bolt, and recommended a couple near-by garages where I could get estimates. The waiting area was super clean, they had a kids area, t.v., soda machine snacks to buy, and free coffee & doughnuts...and the price was comparable to any oil change place in the area. I'll be back in a few months to have one more change done before we pull our RV north again.

technicians do good work. however customer service is lacking. the guy at the front counter can be…read morerude and a bit condescending. leads me to think he doesn't like his job and should consider a different industry because his customer service skills just aren't there. if you are a person who doesn't quite understand your vehicle and maintenance of it do not go to the brownsville location. he was very unhelpful, i called to politely let him know my experience at the location was unsatisfactory and he told me i was wrong and he was not rude. customers nearby also agreed he was not very friendly or helpful. checked reviews and this is not the first time he has gotten a complaint about his job performance.

After completing the service, the employee told her they couldn't remove the old oil filter because it was "too tight" and that the only way to remove it would be to break it. They then informed her that the only replacement available would cost an additional $60. How does a business that specializes in oil changes not have the proper tools or ability to remove a standard oil filter without creating an additional expense for the customer? It felt less like a solution and more like an upsell after the vehicle was already in their care. A routine oil change should not turn into a surprise charge because the staff can't remove an oil filter. Customers trust Jiffy Lube to perform basic maintenance professionally and competently. Unfortunately, this experience raised serious concerns about the quality of service, technical ability, and customer care at this location. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location to anyone looking for honest, reliable service.
