Came in to get tire looked at for a slow leak and rotation. All four tires had damage on the inside that was fairly bad. They showed me the cause of the damage which was obvious once pointed out. Reason for damage on all four was because of prior rotation. Should have been seen by other business that did the rotation. After talking and pricing several tires they left decision up to me. There was no pressure to buy from them today. After making decision to buy the gentleman that helped me was very honest about which he would purchase. Service done 7/13/2026. I had 4 brand new tires I provided to be installed and balanced. Tire pressure on all 4 tires was at 44 when checked (idek how or why that would even happen, especially on a Camry?) and did not have any previous shake on it. Got it on 70 and it started to slightly wobble over 65mph. Found out the tires were not balanced correctly. Paid $10.99/tire. Took it to big o tires and they took care of it there, confirmed they did not balance them correctly. And they were able to diagnose another issue and checked my alignment as well, which tire barn did neither. The manager here stated he's the one who balanced them (even though the entire time I waited, he was standing at the counter lol) and that they were done correctly, since he did it of course. Even though he knows he did it correctly, he gave me a refund for the balancing, after I told him I took it somewhere else and had it rebalanced. Just go to big o tires honestly. I've never had an issue with them, I just thought tire barn would be cheaper and it wasn't. read more

Just a shout out to the guys at Tire Barn. We had called around for prices to add tires to our beat around car 2005 Pacifica. The gentleman I spoke with was very personable and knowledgeable. I said they had the best price so far, and he said that's what we like to here. I told him I would probably call back after discussing with my husband. So, next day we stopped by to put in the order from the warehouse, and found out he already had. We still made an appointment and we were in at our appointment time and out in no time. What driving we have done, we are very pleased with the ride and the lack of road noise. They are A-OK in our book! read more

Update: 1/27/17 Picked truck up today and was told they put camber bolts in and tie rod, but ball joint was ok. Truck pulls to right and they charged me for ball joint part and labor !!! Plus I stopped at a tire place down the road and they didn't even replace the lower ball joint. Was lied to again. Have times from invoices from everyone that proves the lie. Oct 17th, 2016 - Paid over $1400 for upper and lower press in ball joints, inner and outer tie rod, alignment and tires. IN early January I was driving when my right upper ball joint pooped out of the control arm! which led to my wheel falling inward! - they fixed this and replaced the control arm ( I was ok with that) not but roughly a week or so later I had new tires and wheels put on my truck and the shop that did it said they could not do an alignment for new tires and wheels because my inner tie rods were shot and my left ball joint was about to popped out and was halfway out already!!!! Very dangerous!!! Tire barn then fixed the upper ball joints but made me pay for the inner tie rod because it was a "typo" on the receipt they gave me for which one they replaced before. fact is they put a vehicle that was not fixed right back on the road that endangers everyone. Since this my truck was still pulling hard left! so taking back to another shop they expressed that when they replaced the upper ball joints the second time they DID NOT put the guide pins in the control arms, or put new adjustment bolts in!!! this is what keep it in alignment! Also, that my left lower ball joint is now ruined and my other inner tire rod! ( from my upper ball joints coming out and putting my wheels in a bind. The manager at tire barn then called me and said I could schedule to get my car fixed at another place and they would pay for it. So I scheduled my work, even gave them a day to figure out payment, and scheduled rides to work and home. I then get a call from corporate saying that they WILL NOT back what the manager said they would do! Even after the manager called the other shop expressing she would pay them ( have written statements) They expressed I must take the truck back to the original tire barn and have the warranty work covered ( only parts) Tire barn is not going to cover ANY of it other than parts. Even after talking with their corporate office, which was no help at all, they even said they replaced my camber bolts with aftermarket ones. So I then go out and take pictures of them because they are completely rusted and one is broken off! Which means they were never touched, which also rolls into my vehicle not staying in alignment again. fact is that they are refusing to cover labor on parts that were ruined from their first mistake! which was putting an unsafe vehicle back on the road because of the negligence of an employee. Then neglecting to uphold the statement that their store manager has made to me and another shop. In the end I am forced to have them fix it for the short term to have even just the parts covered (which are covered by the manufacturer, not them) just to be able to have a vehicle to drive to get to work and get my family around. I am also left with the feeling that I have to take their work to other shops to have their work looked at to make sure my vehicle is SAFE! I am lucky that when my ball joints came out my car did not wreck and hurt anyone, I am also lucky to have great co-workers to help get back and forth to work, but none of these catoptric events should have happened if the work was done right, or they just followed through with what was said. Have all documents, photos, written statements, and verbal confirmation for all of this. Legal case foundation is being built for putting unsafe vehicle on road, and falsely expressing services rendered. read more

I spoke to Theresa in Tire Barn customer service. I do not believe this is a systemic problem and was very pleased with the quick response. She was extremely friendly and honestly seemed concerned promising to move the complaint along. I have been a customer for a long time and intend on moving my business to another location. As I said earlier, I will never return to the New Castle, IN location. The one star rating is for this location only and it is one because I can't rate them lower. read more

I've been coming to this Tire Barn for years and all of my family members have too. The last time I was in for a routine tire rotation will be the last time I step foot in this place. When I left I felt like my vehicle was "off" but I was in a hurry to get home to take a family member to a doctors appointment. When I was almost home (only about 10 minutes away) I tried to make a right turn on my street and my steering wheel couldn't make half a revolution around. It was so bad I couldn't make a right turn without crossing in the middle of the road putting myself and others in danger. I didn't drive it again until the next day when I took it back to Tire Barn. When I told the staff what happened they automatically became defensive and basically questioned me on if I had been off road insinuating I did something to mess it up. They never really offered to look at it to see if something was wrong, but kept saying there was nothing they did in the tire rotation that would make it not turn right. The lady who rang me up called me a liar saying she went over the paperwork with me (when all she did was run my credit card, print off the receipt & the paperwork and handed it to me. Did NOT explain anything on the print out!) Finally the manager said they'd check it out but the would charge me for labor of anything needed fixed. Totally unacceptable seeing how I paid for the tire rotation and it was fine before that! My step dad who has been a mechanic for years got it home and within 10 minutes found what was wrong. There were bolts that shouldn't have been touched during a tire rotation that they had taken off. I ended up having to purchase new stabilizer shocks because they ruined mine, plus I had to pay to take it somewhere else to get it rotated again! Not to mention I was preparing to move out of state and had to add this stress and extra time of having to drive to Indy to pick up the new shocks (it was the closest place that had any) and make an appointment else where to have the tires rotated again. I have several family members who have been customers there for 30+ years that have also had bad experience recently and vow not to go back. You're not going to stay in business much longer if that's how you treat your customers. read more
