There's not much to tell, I called then and said a had a bolt in one of the my tires and can they fix it. I drove across the city from hidden valley to the store down by chinook because they used to do good work ..... I got there, grabbed the tire and rolled it into the store, I said: Hi, I called about getting this tire fixed about 45 mins ago and I want to drop it off ..... this was about 9 AM. Hipster piercing-boy behind the desk looked at for a sec and said yep, it'll be about WEEK. One week to fix a freaken tire !!! I nope'd the hell out of there and went to Kal-Tire up on 20th Ave NE dropped it off and got it back 3 hours later when thye called and fixed just fine!! But I DO really appreciate the morons at Tire Pirates for wasting my time, it was a lovely 53 km drive ....... read more

Sergio helped me choose 4 new ALL WEATHER TIRES for my tiny HYUNDAI ACCENT, and oil change and filter and taxes!! All in $534.00!!! Then the mighty Jordan torque my tires again 2 days later! I doubt those will ever come off!! Great service the first time in 1.5 hours wait. Today the retorque took 5 minutes after I drove up Into the parking lot!! I've been buying my tires through Tire Pirates Chinook location. Had a full set of 33x12.5 installed on my son's 4Runner and just recently had a full set of Toyo Open Country AT3's installed on my Tundra. Here's the thing - you won't find nicer people to deal with Kyle and Sergio went above an beyond to accommodate, had very fair pricing and the installs went smooth... no surprises, no added costs. From a "knowing their stuff" perspective they REALLY know their brands that they sell. I wasn't sure which way I wanted to go with the tires for my Tundra so Kyle and Sergio walked me through the choices, settled on the Toyo and I couldn't be happier. Customer service sucked. They made it clear they didn't want or need my business. Couldn't care less I had a flat tire and needed a new one. Most tire places will for customers with emergencies in and not put them behind winter tire changes. The guy behind the desk was simply rude. read more

I brought my Cadillac sedan to have my winter tires taken off and my summer tires put back on the rims. I had to take the vehicle back to have them rebalance them since the car had a shake to it at 110 km. The technician said that maybe one of the weights fell off. Could be. This is not the issue. The issue is that they charge $17.50/tire to take the winter tires off and put the summer tires on = $70 + tax but THEN they charge another $17.50/tire + tax to balance each tire = $70.00 + tax. Any other tire shop would charge $60-70 + tax to do all of this! I tried to explain this to Serge, the owner, but he talked in circles and was not interested in excessive billing practices. I like the guy, since he is a family friend but really you have to gouge and screw your friends too! I will never go back, ever. read more

I went to the one on Barlow - got my new tires a month ago, and had a flat repaired yesterday. They were absolutely fantastic, and although I showed up to pick up my tire late last night after they had packed up, when they found out I was going to change my tire myself they unpacked their gear and did it for me. Saved me a good 20 minutes, as well as not having to work in the dark. Excellent service and really nice people. I highly recommend. read more

I don't usually review. That being said, it takes something extremely special for me to do that. I've been to this shop multiple times over the years for tires. The staff is kind, friendly, and accommodating. They get you in asap, and are always willing to help you. They have always given me a "all in total" price prior to getting service, and stand by that. They even went the extra mile, during my last issue with my flat tire. I got the end of a knife blade in my tire on the way to work. Which I just bought the tires from them 3 months prior. Had it towed to the shop at 2AM after work. Then called me at 8:50AM saying it was ready to pick up. The kindness, can do attitude, and due diligence of the staff was unbelievable, and really refreshing, (even going in twice during a pandemic)! Highly recommend these guys! I appreciate the entire staff, and the level of service they maintain! Well done guys! Keep up the great work! 10 STARS!!!!! Hope you enjoy the thank you gift I left for the staff! read more

Over the last 3 years I've purchased 5 sets of tires, 2 sets of rims with sensors, and had the mechanical work done here that I can not do myself. I've had zero problems with the mechanical work they've performed and their prices are fair. I just picked up my wifes car this evening for a major service and the car feels great. They even topped off the wiper fluid. They have no problem saving the old parts for me that they've replaced. I love the fact that you can speak directly with the tech that performed the work, unlike most dealerships. They are knowledgeable and helpful. What a fantastic crew. read more

Got new tires here and everyone was awesome. Came again after I hit potholes in the middle of the night and messed up my front tires. Walked in and they started working on my car right away. Guys at the desk are awesome, but the door was left open to the back and I could hear the mechanics grumbling about female drivers and asking the guy at the front if the the tire he was working on (my tire) was from a female driver. Super unprofessional, but I know existing attitudes about women and driving so I'm not surprised. Women might be dumb but we're still paying customers. Next time keep the door shut, guys. read more

Prices were competitive but fine detail customer service was missed. My tires were left at 45 psi when they called for only 32 psi . So my tire service indicator was still on. I'd advise management to direct shop staff to do their job properly. Customer service needs improvement. My second experience with them , same result last time also. read more

Tyson & Sergio were a huge help and very accommodating. I was on a time crunch and they were able to help me out immediately that day and over the weekend, even though they had a huge workload already. I highly recommend visiting these guys at Tire Pirates! They work fast and have reasonable prices. As a female it's quite hard to find mechanics who don't take advantage of women, these guys are decent guys! :-) The place also has a comfortable waiting room, with WiFi & free coffee. read more

Last night my car died on me stranding me at the Home Depot opposite Chinook. When I say 'died', I must have left the lights on, but the control screens were flickering and it appeared at that stage, that there might be an issue with the car's computer control. It was late evening, getting cold, and I had just called out AMA who sent out a tow truck (and he came very promptly too!) who was going to tow me to our dealership. Just as the tow truck arrived, Brian who had also just come out of the Home Depot store to get into his truck, saw what was happening, came over and offered to boost the battery for us. Not only that, but he then took us to his workshop (Tire Pirates), which he re-opened for us, completed an AVR test to make sure the issue wasn't the alternator, confirmed our battery was also OK, before we left for home. He refused any offer of a tip! He saved us so much time, $ and stress (and I have enough of that already). I had to give him a hug, (and I'm not a touchy-feely person!) He went way beyond my expectations as an employee. I know where we're going for our next tire replacement/car service...... Thanks so much Brian!!! read more
