I went into the store to buy and have 2 snow tires installed. The Sailun Ice Blazers have been priced at $189.00 for the last month, and when I confirmed the price, the counter rep said they were $229.00 each. I mentioned that I checked the price this morning, but he said they update the website Sundays, and the price just went up the other day. I said that they should honor the posted price but he could do nothing. I have been buying tires from them for a couple years, and do not believe that they could not update prices on their site immediately. I bought 4 brand new Sailun winter tires from this place on October 30th. On December 19th I was driving down Kingston road and one of them exploded. The tire went flat within seconds. Luckily I wasn't on the highway or else I would have been dead. I brought the exploded tire to this place to check the warranty and they brushed me off and told me I must have ran something over. I never saw anything in the road and I never found anything in the tire. I have photos of the tire and the explosion seems to have come from the sidewall that faces the rotors. I went to another tire store to replace my tire. I was never reimbursed. Be careful with this place. They seem to be obsessed with selling as many tires as fast as possible, they don't seem to care about retaining loyal customers. I used to shop with them for years, no more. read more

Stay away from these guys. Took my car in to put new tires on. They took off my tire pressure monitor system sensors without consulting with me and put regular $5 valves instead. When I disputed that they said that I insisted they remove them. What a bunch of liars. When I asked them to reinstall the sensors (which luckily were still there) they said they would have to charge me for doing that. Would have given them 0 stars if that was an option. Tire World is known for their cheap prices, which is why it's almost always a zoo in there. Be forewarned, no appointments, first come first serve basis. Basically you walk up, take a number and order your tires. When your number is called, you pull your car up to the curb area leading into the garage and eventually into the garage. Next you wait again for your number to be called, at which point you pay for your tires. When they are finished installing, they then call you into the garage to get your car. Installs are included in your price you're paying for tires, which is still much cheaper than you'd find anywhere else. The CS reps are thorough and efficient and depending on the time of day/week/year you could expect anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3 hours. 30-45 minutes to be called to bring your car around, 30-45 minutes for service, minimum. Tire world is pretty good, free wifi (you need the password), lot's of seating, quick service. My only advice is for them to get a automated phone message for callers as the reps seem constantly irritated answering the same question time and time again, no appointments/first come first serve, open 8am to 6pm. 4/5 read more

Tire World certainly meets the criteria of a business who has a niche and doesn't worry about steering from that. They literally only sell tires (and rims) - both new and used, and install them. They are first come, first serve - so be aware you want to come early and avoid (if possible) getting winter tires right near the first sign of snow if you don't want to be there for a few hours. Given that you should know what to expect from this place, I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews I've seen online. It's also not as easy as some may think in finding a good selection of used tires (esp. winter), so they're helping fill a void. The overflow of business suggests many are perfectly happy with the place. I found good quality used 17" winter tires with little wear on the tread as well as rims for less than $400 - with installation. Good luck finding that with ease anywhere else. read more

I would like to start by stating that i have used Tire World three times before. Unfortunately every time I've gone there my experience has been worse than the time before. I was referred to this place by a coworker. During my most recent visit my at was damaged because of poor jack placement. I don't mind it when a shop uses a jack but at least educate your personal on correct jacking points. Also when the the tech couldn't remove my wheel, he called over his friend to hit the rim with a sledgehammer to remove it. Which later I found dented the wheel. When I asked why they used a sledgehammer instead of a puller they said it was all normal. Do yourself a favour; don't go with a cheap shop because it will land up costing you much more later on. Respect your vehicle and go to a real shop. read more

Just wanted to say used to go here all the time when you move away you forget all the places that help you get to where you are. money has been tight with the mortgage rate climbing at an insane rate I have a house plus a house I rent some rooms out in which is approximately 1500 higher due to inflation the government has caused but that is a conversation for another day .back to the point of this review one front tire to replace 67.00 to replace 265/70/r17 got to the tech (mechanic) who knows anymore what to call anyone other than sorry and thankyou nervous to say anything else. but the tech said the other front tire is even worst on the spot changed the work order and added the other tire I think the total for both cam 134. xx and I are going to regret saying that cheap of price but I have the bills to prove with all the bullshit going on these days between covid, ufo being shot down by norad this was the first experience in a while that made me feel like a human between doom and gloom cp24 rain or people dying and blah blah blah I felt taken care of not taken advantage of. considering all the garbage that we all have had our heads full of lately felt like there might be a future going forward. I know a whole bunch of rambling on but this is the big step for me. I've bought 3 sets of tires here and have saved money every time. Sailun winter tires for 08 minivan, BFG all terrains for my jeep an Yokohama ice tires for my SUV. I'm so glad I found this place as I've saved lots of $$$ by driving up to Brampton. Their service can get a busy on weekends. But be patient and enjoy the savings! I've recommended this place to a lot of people, do your homework before you get there, but if not the staff are very helpful with tire options for your vehicle. read more

Owner of the store refused to sell me used tires because I was worried about date of manufacturing. Something any used tire buyer should do. He was expecting a premium because of the amount of tread left on the tires when in reality the tires were 15 years old and extremely likely to blow. read more

We called first before going and got a quote for the installation of 4 tires (2 which we already owned) and buying 2 from them. They quoted us $235 so we went. Once the work was done they say it's $290. They asked for the name of who quoted us and we didn't know his name so they said the car is $290 if you want your vehicle back. They push really crappy quality tires on you. While my husband was waiting there was other people arguing with them about issues they've had with them as well. If you check the reviews on yellow pages they're all horrible! Tire World used to be the go to. The place I would recommend to everybody. This is def NOT the place you want to go to anymore. The manager doesn't care, the employees don't care. They only want your money and when it comes time to pay they'll charge you more then they quoted you. Go elsewhere. This place sucks! (Oh and they break your ABS sensors when putting on the tires and then tell you they're not responsible for the damage because they have a sign stating they're not responsible for damaging them.) Take your car somewhere were people take pride in their work and makes themselves responsible if they happen to damage your vehicle in the process. This place is a sham. read more

PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE IT'S NOT WORTH IT. I bought my tire on Friday, on Saturday morning my tire was flat. I called them 9 times, every time I was put on hold for 15 mins each time before the phone hung up. Eventually I spoke to the rudest customer service representative I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. They said they closed at 1 but to come down as this was only 11:20am. I was like fine i'll be there by 1 because I had to wait for CAA as I could not drive a car with a flat tire. I got to the place at 12:28 pm, they told me they couldn't help me until Monday. During this time the store manager spoke to me in a very disrespectful way, saying this is not a drive through when his customer service representative told me to be there by 1 and they could help me. The store manager made his workers sign out early so that they would not fix or change my tire. He disrespected me and wasted my time. Two people who also had the same problem with their tires they recently bought from tire world were also turned away like me. The manager even told a gentleman to control your people. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. They sell useless tires that go flat not even 24 hours after you buy it. One of the worst experience in buying tires. I would rather pay the extra $40 at Canadian tire. The blond girl in front is rude, very unprofessional. The supposed store manager of the company, is a very old haggard looking man, who is very rude, very callous, lacks common decency and overall a terrible human being. They call you within 24 hours when you've placed an order - well they did for me! Line-ups can be long yet you are checked in and your request is processed in a timely manner. I visited Tire World after getting some help from a friend finding good and affordable tires. I had done plenty of research and compared many tires, places, and quotes but still was a little nervous making a commitment in fear that I would end up paying way too much and not getting my money's worth. I trusted his recommendation as he said he had often bought tires from Tire World during his days working with cars and I'm glad that I did. I called them on Thursday afternoon and they confirmed the price and availability of the tires that I needed and they advised that they do not book appointments as all service is done on a walk in basis. I went fairly early on a Saturday morning expecting to be waiting around for at least a few hours and although there were a few people in the shop and all their bays appeared to be in use I was in and out in what seemed like less than 30 minutes. The efficiency and speed in which they work is amazing. Having said this I feel that when things are done at such a fast pace the customer service aspect of the interaction suffers. When I approached the counter the girl who assisted me although perfectly polite said only what was strictly necessary - which tires do you need, yes we have them, drive around to the back - I had to clarify exactly where to go as this was my first time there. Once I drove to the back and into the bay I parked my car after following the very poor directions given by the teenager working. I got out of the car unsure of where to go. There were at least 2 mechanics who watched me park my car, get out, stand beside it with a confused look on my face, and instead of directing me to where to go they carried on walking around me and having a conversation directly in front of me. I had to ask where to go even though there's a huge sign that says "absolutely no customers beyond this point". With such a sign you'd think they would be much more proactive in ensuring customers get out of the bay safely. While I was waiting for the tires to be installed I was reading over the receipt where it indicates you must return to have the tires re-torqued to OEM specs within 24hrs or 50kms. This was not mentioned to me at all at any point. Again, I had to ask instead of the information being volunteered to me. This was my first time buying tires and I had no idea this is something that needs to be done, had I not read over the receipt it would never have gotten done. All in all I'm happy with the tires, the price that I paid for them, and the efficiency of the service, but I feel the quality of customer service leaves something to be desired. I would recommend Tire World because the prices and selection are great but I know now not to expect a particularly personal interaction. read more

Although I was a repeat customer at Tire World Brampton location because of their low prices, I am hugely disappointed at their dishonest service following my recent purchase of snow tires with rims. The snow tires made a lot of unusual noise immediately after installation and I took the car back to them several times with opinion from my mechanic that tires were defective. They asked me to take the car to their own mechanic and based on his advice kept insisting that the tires are not defective. Finally, I had to take the car to the dealer and they also confirmed that tires/rims were defective and after swapping to my original all-season tires, the noise is gone. I am still waiting for Tire World to do the right thing and refund my money plus the cost of dealer diagnosis. read more

very good pricing and avialability of all major tire brands... and some obscure value brands too. about my only concern is they use trolley jacks rather than lifts or hoists, so i tried to keep an eye on how my car was being lifted- didn't want them bending any jacking points. it's a pretty simple operation- not a lot of frills- but that's how they offer good pricing. been there a few times and always left pleased. read more

Rude and ignorant people running this shop. It's like they have no customer etiquette. One guy was very short with me on the phone, like he had somewhere else to be, and there is a reason they give decent prices. They sold me a used tire with less than 10% tread on it, didn't show me before putting it on, and refused to put a better tire on for me without charging me an extra $20 for labour. Just a bad environment to be in, especially if they have you waiting for 2 hours for 1 tire with hardly any tread on it. I 1st went to tire world last year for used winter tires, the guy showed me the tires, 2 of the same for the back and 2 of the same for the front, not a tire expert, but knew I would have my son look at them, they look good to me and really no problem. One of the tires became a bit smooth, so I decided to get to used for the front. They put 2 to the front, they said the car was ready, but when I got to the back, they were still trying to put them on, well the tires looked dirty and old, but I said to myself, they were good last yr, so I TRUSTED them, drove to Brantford the same evening and the next morning the passenger side was flat, we drv to put air, my son said, mummy, used is used but these are baaad, took the car to Canadian tire to repaid, and the young guy there said the same, I ended up purchasing 2 new tires as,I was told to use the spare, never drove with a spare and the long drive from Brantford to Miss, I did not feel safe, called Tire world, this morning at 8.13am, advsd the person, and he said yes, they will refund, to come, went there on my lunch and OMG the owner I believe was just yelling at me, that I CANNOT GET A REFUND ( THIS IS $80.00 we are talking about) , I showed him the tires where CT marked the spot, he said yes, but the other 1 was good, it was also cracked, anyhow, his sidekick lady at the shop also told me off, it was all about them, I insisted on the refund, he yelled you should have come back, well, I said, I work and cannot run up and down to tire world, if they were open, I would have gone, tried to explain that I was not comfortable to drive on a spare from Brantford, he said it was not his problem. they gave me a store credit, and I had to hear they have been in business 30 years, .....TERRIBLE Service, hope his wife or any member of his family does not have to ever go through this with any business, ....... read more
