Our experience was not great. We went they to look at a car that we seen on line and had cash for…read more When we arrived we were told that we wouldn't want that car but they had the perfect car for us. So they started selling us a car that was way about what we were trying to spend. But we figured we should probably listen to them just in case the cheap car had problems. So we were hopeful to put the loan in both my husband and I name. But they refused to check my credit and only checked his. So they proceeded to put it in his name the whole ti.e us telling them he had no drivers license so he wouldn't be able to get a tag or registration. Tim said we would figure it out when the time came. So we drove on the temp tag until it expired and then called to let them no that we needed help getting my name on the loan so I could get the car legal. I called for months and couldn't get anyone to help me. Finally I spoke to someone in finance and he said they wouldn't be able to help us at all. So point being the people at Tim shorts dealership and Tim himself will say anything to sell you a car.

Very disappointing experience with Tim Short Maysville…read more I drove from Ohio to Maysville to purchase a 2022 Polestar in September 2025. I had contacted the dealership two days beforehand, yet when I arrived, the vehicle was essentially dead and had to be charged just enough for me to drive it home. The tire warning light was also on. I was told there was nothing wrong and that it was probably a technical issue. I later discovered the vehicle had a cracked rim, and about a week after purchasing it I had a blowout and had to replace the entire wheel. Unfortunately, the biggest issue has been the Clean Vehicle Credit. At the time of purchase, I was told I qualified for the $4,000 Clean Vehicle Credit and was given paperwork for the credit. I claimed it on my 2025 taxes. The IRS later contacted me and said their records show the vehicle meets the requirements for the credit, but the dealership did not submit the required Time of Sale (ToS) report to the IRS. The IRS specifically instructed me to contact the dealership to verify whether the ToS report was submitted through the IRS Energy Credits Online portal. If it was submitted, they instructed me to obtain a copy of the approved ToS report and Form 15400, Clean Vehicle Seller Report. I've been trying to get this resolved since April 2026. I've called and emailed multiple times and have repeatedly been told someone would get back to me. Months later, I'm still waiting. The dealership gave me the paperwork for the credit, but apparently did not complete the required IRS reporting. I cannot fix that part myself. The IRS has specifically told me that I need to work with the dealership. I was also told when purchasing the vehicle that Tim Short cared about and supported their "brothers in blue." As a law enforcement officer, that meant something to me. Unfortunately, the customer service and communication I've received since the sale have been extremely disappointing. I've been patient and have given them months to make this right. I'm not asking for anything unreasonable--I simply need the dealership to properly report the vehicle to the IRS or provide the documentation the IRS requires. I would strongly recommend thoroughly inspecting any vehicle before purchasing from this dealership and getting written confirmation that any tax credit or other promised paperwork has actually been completed. I really wanted to give them the opportunity to resolve this before leaving a negative review, but after months of being ignored and getting nowhere, I feel other potential customers should know about my experience.
